If you received you phone as part of the contract then surely from a legal pov your contract is with 3 not Apple unless you bought Applecare, if you bought your phone outright then put your 3 SIM into it then yes you'd have to visit an Apple store with your phone's purchase receipt.

  • My speaker isn't working. How do I fix it?

My iPod speaker isn't working and only happens to work when I use my headphones. I would like to fix my speaker, how can I fix this problem??

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

  • IPad3 Speaker isn't working but the headphone is working fine.

iPad3 Speaker isn't working but the headphone is working fine. I have resetted the all settings and restore to old backup also but it doesn't work.
Let me know the steps to resolve the issue!

Check System Preferences > Network > active connection > Proxies tab. Are there proxy servers enabled? If you aren't behind a proxy server (which you probably aren't), uncheck those boxes. (Firefox bypasses the OS's proxy settings, so it's not affected by those settings.)
    Hope this helps...

  • The center speaker isn't working in the browser

I have a built-in sound card, wich is working perfectly under VLC, MPC, and other players (even with games). but if it comes to browsers (firefox/opera/internet explorer) then the center speaker is not working at all.
I disconnected the rear speakers, so I don't know if they work or not, but I can't ask this to anyone else. I know that this is not so much of a firefox problem, but I hope that someone can help me with this.

A number of Mac user have reported this, and it seems always to be some other program or a system setting hijacking the key.

  • My new iPod touch 5G's speaker isn't working correctly...

I got my iPod touch 2 days ago and I woke up today and played some music and all of a sudden, the speaker is buzzing while playing music, a game, or even when notifications come up. Is there anything that caused it?  Is there anything that can fix it, or should I return this one and get a new one?

If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • One speaker isn't working

I have a powerbook G4. The external speakers both worked for the first couple of years. Recently I noticed that the left speaker does not work. I tried adjusting the balance in system preferences, no luck; it was still balanced. When shifted it to the left, no sound, to the righ-i get sound from the right. Also, I ran a hardware diagnostic which came out normal. No logic board problems as others have posted. I also checked my microphone which is located under the left speaker. The input works fine, but nothing from the left speaker. Please help. Any suggestions with this annoying problem would be greatly appreciated.

    That's probably a good news/bad news thing.
Might have a loose or broken connection, broken trace, or the like. Could be difficult to get at to prove or repair, depending on our comfort level.
Go to http://pbfixit.com for instructions on getting into the case, unless you have AppleCare of course.

  • GigaWorks T40 - left speaker isn't working.

    Hello,
i've just got new GigaWorks T40.
The problem is the left speaker that isnt working.
Speakers were connected to CPU and MP3 (Creative Zen), there was same problem on both.
Is it possible to be fixed, or i have to return them to shop?

    Hi Anteaus,
Where did you purchase your T40, the Creative Online Store or your local retail outlet?
It would be advisable to contact the place of purchase and ask for an exchange to take advantage of your warranty.

  • My speaker isn't working is this a common problem and will the apple store replace my phone for no charge?

I play a lot of music on my phone, for about a week or so my speaker was cutting out. Then day before yesterday it cut out again and won't work for ringtones or anything.
I was wondering if I'm the only one with the problem and of I took it to the apple store would they fix it/ replace my phone for me.

is there no sound from the phone at all? i'm just checking because many people think there are 2 speakers on the bottom of the phone when in fact there is 1 speaker and 1 microphone. also, have you tried resetting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button until the phone restarts? does it have sound thru the headphones? sometimes the phone gets stuck in headphone mode and you can try plugging and unpluggng the headphones a couple of times.

  • In-built speaker issue: Vista 32-bit/Boot Camp

    Heya all!
I can't seem to get my new MacBook 2.0GHz to behave with the speakers! The one on the right seems to be functioning reasonably well, albeit a little quietly, but the one on the left is very quiet, and takes a while to turn on when told to play sound. I have the Realtek Drivers installed from the OSX disc, but as I say, can't seem to find a solution. Does anyone know what I can do, or, failing that, what drivers to download/install/reinstall for Vista so I can try again?
    Cheers!
    TC

Nix that, installed the Boot Camp drivers a second time, seems to have fixed it. Now, if only I could get half the blinking Windows apps to behave... but that's another story. :P

  • Superdrive isn't workng properly

i had this mac for a few month and dropped it at the xray airport secuity. ever since then, the drive won't play DVDs. the CDs are fine. anyone have the same issue?

It does seem quite likely that the dropping part played into the problem a lot.

  • I bought an iPhone 4 from target about a week ago and just noticed that the left bottom speaker isn't working. Do I take it to target? Will they replace it? Or can I take it to apple?

I haven't dropped it or anything, I've taken really good care if it. What do I do to fix this problem and where can I take it?

Oh wow. Thanks so much! You saved me from looking really dumb at target/the apple store. You're a rockstar

We can't provide the password if you forgot it...
You will have to reset the router to factory specs, basically erasing it.   Once erased, you will have to configure it all over again, adding a new password.

  • My iPods internal speaker isn't working, the sound works with headphones but now without. I've turned it on and off several times and pulled the headphone out and put them back in but nothing seems to work, please help?!

My sound usually works but just yesterday it totally just stopped. The sound is turned on full, the headphones are out, and I've tried turning it off then back on but it didn't help at all. It's an iPod touch 2nd generation, 8G.
