Yeah that works, but, it involves a click on the event, a click on edit, a click on the date, keystrokes, plus, since you can't see the next month you have to have a calendar in front of you so as to put it to the right date. It's easier just to cut it and advance the month and paste it, once you are in the right month you can move it around helter skelter willy nilly no problems. Although now that you mention it I will try it, maybe it is easier than cut and paste as I don't really care about the date, as long as it gets moved into the right month I can drag it around all I want.

Prepaid accounts don't have Account Owners/Managers, they just have Account Members (and prepaid accounts have less options regarding changes via their My Verizon account as a result).

Am I the only person who has (or cares) about this problem with IMAP

I have multiple mailboxes in my IMAP account and i have to go into each mailbox to see if there is new mail. Is there a way to just update all mailboxes on the iphone? is it an IMAP setting? Is this Apple's way of trying to get me to buy mobile me?

I have nearly 100 folders, in a nested hierarchy, in my imap account. If it had to check every one of them when checking mail, it would take a ridiculously long time, eat up battery, etc. So I hope they don't change it to automatically check for new mail in every folder.
If you must have your filters applied to incoming mail such that emails get sorted to various folders, here's a solution that might help you.
1. Create a new folder in your imap acount, called something like "foriphone".
2. Instead of just having the filter move the message, have it copy the message to the new foriphone folder first, then move it to its appropriate place.
So now all incoming mail will be found either in the inbox (if it's not going to be sorted to somewhere else), or in the folders where sorted mail winds up, AND ALSO a copy of all sorted mail will be found in the foriphone folder.
All you have to do when checking mail is look at your inbox, and look at the foriphone folder. Every once in a while delete everything in the foriphone folder, since they're only copies of all the sorted mail.
Just an idea.

Not trying to hijack your post, but I've got the same issue here. Supposed to be getting 50Mbps down, 10Mbps up. I've contacted Comcast numerous times and am at my wits end. We're connected directly from the drop, no splitters, and have never gotten close to 50Mbps even on a wired connection. Comcast's solution is to keep sending techs out, but everytime they get here there's nothing they can do-- great signal, no hardware issues. Even if I tell Comcast support, per the techs that have been over, that the issue is not on my end and needs to be escalated, all they do is the typical troubleshooting by powercycling and try to send another tech out. Also interesting to note that the last tech that was out here said it looked like my net wanted to go faster, but looked as if it was being throttled-- yippie.
I've been told I'll get credit for the issue, has not happened. I've been told my issue will be escalated, but I wonder if it has. I've even contacted the Executive Customer Care Team and have been told my ticket has been recieved and to contact them. Despite multiple attempts to contact and inquire about any updates on the matter, I have not received a reply.
On average I get between 25-30 Mbps down, 5-10 up. It's gotten to be so bad sometimes I've gotten 1.18 Mbps down, 3.63Mbps up. Here's a speedtest from today:

I upgraded my iphone 3gs a couple of weeks ago and the imessaging worked splendidly but now it hardly works at all. Both my daughters have the same problem and it isn't the wifi coz they live in different parts of the country.

I have iphone 5 and can not send a text to one person who has iphone 4s and on same family plan

I have an iphone 5... and also a family plan. I can not send a text to my daughter on the same plan. She has an iphone 4s. I have tried mulitiple things to get this to work.... It started about 10 days ago... I have delete text stream for her and any group messages. Also her contact in contacts. Also readded her contact with area code....then with 1 ...then just with 1... All rebooting in between each new thing i did... Checked to see if sms is turned on ..yes and turned it off... turned of imessages and back on... rebooting in between. Also signed out of and back into apple id. Also with reboots... did a soft reset. Upgraded to ios 8 about 2 days ago... And a few times in last 10 days i could send for a few hours then it was gone again...... VERY frustrated at this point....Also i can text many others including iphones and so can she....

Am I the only person who has problem with video playback ?

I'm having problems with the latest nvidia driver and it seems that nobody wrote about it on the forums.. After installing the latest nvidia driver (169.07-1), the video playback with xv selected will be played in purple and blue colours.. Generally red will not be shown.. So human faces are colored with a combination of purple and blue.. Everything is normal on the other hand.. Sound works perfectly, the movie can be watched smoothly even on fullscreen.. With x11, all players can show the colors but...
1) The movie quality in Totem is very bad then...like the image is gathered together by 3x3 pixels..
2) mplayer shows everything fine but it can't get fullscreen..
I created a nautilus script for a workaround that let's me watch the movies with fullscreen using the -fs -zoom options..
But this problem is really annoying..

I should probably also mention that I'm rolling my own kernel, and as such I'm not using the package from testing. Building it manually with the PKGBUILD from ABS though so it shouldn't be any difference though.

Hello, wondering if everyone has received the update? I tried the suggestions yesterday to force it and it didn't work for me. It appears however, that I won't be too happy even when I do get it. Like to hear from those who haven't received it yet. I know I know it could take up to two weeks. Just wondering.

June 4 and still no update for me. I tried the work around to clear the Google Framework Service about 50 times and still no update. My phone talks to two Google Apps domain that use Google Apps Policy with authorization and clearing that service caused me to have to have the Google Apps administrator to have to re-authorize my phones.

It's your choice. If you are the only person that uses the iPad then it's probably not necessary, but, for example, if you think that you will never make in-app purchases then you could disable them via Restrictions so that you can't accidentally make them.
In terms of the difference that it makes, then you can use it to hide some of the built-in apps e.g. Safari, App Store (via 'Installing Apps') etc, prevent apps from being deleted, or hide some of your content.
But if you do set restrictions then remember the passcode that you use for it - if you forget the restrictions code then the only way (unless it wasn't in place when you last backed up) to remove it is reset the iPad back to factory defaults.

As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you.

If you don't know the sender, then it is most likely a scam or spam email. I get them every day - I just delete them. I also get daily notices from Facebook or someone called Adriana at Facebook even though i do not have an account there. Can't do anything about it - just delete it.

I had thought about this, but it seems other people have already chosen the screen name "pinksharkmark" and virtually every variation of it I can think of. So that isn't an option for me. As for getting it to display something else as well, do you mean that if I were to get an AIM screen name like "CromulentCat" I could somehow log in to iChat under the AIM account "CromulentCat" yet get iChat to represent me to my Buddies as "PinkSharkMark"? Because I have to admit I don't see how that can be done. It appears as if iChat displays to anyone chatting with you precisely the account name you logged in under and nothing else. So if you logged in using a .Mac account, then you are displayed as "[email protected]" while if you logged in under an AIM account, you are displayed as "CromulentCat". But that's it that's all... there is no way to change CromulentCat to PinkSharkMark.

Whenever I do a 'search' for a message that has been sent to me the only mails shown are the ones that I have sent to that person, not ones I have received?

It is important to me to be able to find messages that I have sent TO a person as well as messages I have RECEIVED from that person. I used to be able to do that but now, for some unknown reason, whenever I do a search on an email address the only messages that are displayed are the ones I have SENT to an email address. What can I do make sure it does what it used to do i.e. display ALL messages to and from an email address ?

Deleting the file with Thunderbird closed just causes it to be recreated and a fresh index of your mail to be created when Thunderbird starts. You may find it is a huge file, mine is over a gigabyte and occasionally they just get out of sync with reality. Also I just though of this, right click your sent folder/s and check the "include this folder in global search results" is ticked.
Just FYI... Many people coming here call quick filter search, and for your future confusion on why there is more than one search. Ctrl + Shift + F opens a bona fide search and is the way to create saved search's that appear as folder on the left tree. Something the global search can not do.
