In Chat after invite video "Connecting"....but never does

Question

I just bought the ISight and want to chat with AIM users - so they can see/hear me even if they don't have a camera themselves.
However, no one can see or here me when chatting in aim...my camera is "on" and i can see me in the "preview"....Even after I "invite them to a video chat" ...and they "accept" the darn thing never connects - and then it later says the chat session ended because either i didn't accept or they didn't accept....
Very strange, and cannot fix...HELP?

For most of us, iChat AV chat is easy. For many, it is plug-and-play. However, the wide variety of installed computer systems, internet service, and internet communications connections can cause some users must do more configuration. Cross-platform video connections can increase this complexity.
You do not really ask a question, but it seems that you are having difficulty making ANY video connection to ANYBODY.
AIM for Mac is, indeed, a TEXT ONLY app that will not work for Mac video.
If you are new to iChat AV or to iSight, Using iSight with iChat AV may help you get going.
If iChat AV worked for you until you upgraded to Tiger, start with Help for iChat AV 3 Problems
If your problem is inability to get video connection with any PCs, try
b ALL
the suggestion that apply to your situation from the "Mac Video Chat with PCs" link.
If those suggestions do not help you, I suggest you start a new thread in iChat AV 3 Discussions. Include as much as possible of the information requested in the the When do I Post a New iChat Topic ? FAQ.
By my count, the list requests 20 items of information.
Also, provide the same items of info for the buddy with whom you cannot connect.
You may even find the problem in the process of gathering the requested info. If not, we will be happy to try to provide more specific responses based on your details.
