In Cloud environment, do we still need to do an implementation?

Hi,
When we talk about cloud environment for Oracle Fusion Application, I am bit confused. Do we still need to do implementation on Oracle cloud or we can only subscribe to the services oracle provides?
If we can not perform an implementation, how the data which resides in current Oracle EBS will be visible in Fusion?
Also, is there any upgrade path available to upgrade from Oracle EBS to Fusion?

see below link upgrade oracle EBS to fusion

I have to reformat my hard drive and reinstall all of my programs. What do I do about Creative Cloud? I also still need access to CS6 (I have a Marksware converter for InDesign to Quark).
This is a MacBook Pro 15" (Model number A1286) running Mavericks. Hard drive is fine but system software has been corrupted. I cannot simply restore from Time Machine as it will copy the corrupt system.
Will I have to find all of my serial numbers before I can launch any of the programs?
    Thanks

For the Cloud, you log in to your paid Cloud account and download & install the same way you did the first time

If you have the perpetual license version of CS6 you install from your original media and use your serial number
If you have the version of CS6 that is installed via the cloud use this link

  • I have lightroom.  My photos are stored on an external disk drive with a backup disk.  With iCloud, will all of my photos go to the cloud?  Will I still need the external drives? Is the $9.99 per month for just one year or for always?

I am an amateur photographer and have lightroom.  My photos are stored on an external disk drive with a backup disk.  With iCloud, will all of my photos go to the cloud?  Will I still need the external drives? Is the $9.99 per month for just one year or for always?

If the iTunes database files are on that drive, launch iTunes with the Shift key(Windows) or Option key(Mac OS X) held down, select Choose Library, and navigate to it. The computer may need to be authorized to play protected content, and if the library contains rented movies, those won't play.
If not, import the content to an iTunes library.

  • I am a Creative Cloud subscriber, do I still need to pay for FormsCentral too?

I am a happy Creative Cloud subscriber and think the services is great. I just discovered FormsCentral alst night and think it will be perfect for some of my clients' needs. Now do I have to pay extra for this or is an upgrade from the free account on there be included as part of my CreativeCloud subscription? If not, is sure should be...would be a good selling point and make perfect sense.

Randy, thx for the reply. I understand that, but from a marketing perspective it makes no sense. I sold my team on purchasing Creative Cloud because it allows access to the many wonderful things Adobe does at one fixed monthly fee, and now I am going to look stupid going in and saying I was wrong about that.
Question, Can I turn it on and off (the premium plans for FormsCentral) to use it for a specific event or campaign, and then go back to free between campaigns? Or is there a contract involved?

  • Match question--Why do I still need local storage?

I signed up for Match so I would no longer have to worry about onsite storage for my 18,000 song library. But after five days of loading, when I disconnect onsite storage, I can't access my library. What am I doing wrong here?

When I try to delete a song in my iTunes library that has already been uploaded via Match to the cloud, I get a dialog box asking if you are sure want to delete it.   Under that, there is a little check box that says "Also delete this song from iCloud?".  When I tried it worked (for me) exactly how I'd expect.  I was able to re-download the song as long as I left the check box unchecked.  So, if this is true, you could *theoretically* get rid of what's stored on your disk.  But keeping your library in only one place, be it a hard drive or the cloud, is never a really bad idea.  And since Match is a new, buggy, unproven service, it's a huge risk.
Plus, once a song is downloaded, it takes up space and you'll just need to get rid of it again.
And if you have anything besides music in your iTunes library, it won't be backed up to the cloud, so you'll still need the disk storage for that.
"Stream" was the wrong word to use, but I can understand why they chose it.
BTW, the second time iTunes Match looks through your library is significantly quicker.  My 14,423 songs take about 5 minutes and run in the background.
Hope that helps answer some of your questions.

  • If I buy Adobe Creative Cloud to use Lightroom, will I still need my subscription to Adobe Revel to share photos?

If I buy Adobe Creative Cloud will I still need my subscription to Adobe Revel to share photos?

    Hi There,
We would like to inform you that Revel is a different service which is not included in Creative Cloud. Therefore you would need Adobe revel so share photos.

  • HT4191 iPhone Local Storage "My iPhone" - How do you create this folder for use by the Notes app on a iPhone or iPad?  If I want to keep some notes only on my device and not in a cloud environment associated with an e-mail account.

iPhone Local Storage "My iPhone" - How do you create this folder for use by the Notes app on a iPhone or iPad?  If I want to keep some notes only on my device and not in a cloud environment associated with an e-mail account.  I've seen reference to the  "My iPhone" local storage put no mention on how you create this folder or access this folder within the Notes app.  I realize storing information in a local storage like this provides no syncing between other iDevices but that is exactly what I'm looking for.  I'm running iOS7.0.4 on a iPhone 5S, and a iPad Air.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to Settings > Notes > Default Account you will see "On My iPhone" as the default account and the only choice if you have not enabled syncing Notes in Settings >iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. If you have enabled syncing you can still select "On My iPhone" as the default account. When you are in the Notes app you won't see any accounts listed if you have not enabled syncing because they are all in the On My iPhone account and that is the only place possible. It is not a folder that you create.

  • Is it possible to use the OWB in a cloud environment?

We are examining the possibility to move a DW into a cloud environment. We are using OWB for our ETL process. Is there anyone who has experience of running a data warehouse in a cloud environment?

I figured that it would be near impossible, but I figured I would ask smarties on here first. I will look into the iMic and see if it allows a second audio out channel. Thanks for the prompt reply!
There might be a way, but I would guess that it would involve using some sort of third-party software. It would get a bit difficult if you would need to define primary and secondary audio - especially if you need to switch. In addition, I'm not sure what kind of playback software you would be using.
If there's some way to define primary and secondary audio, you might be able to use something as simple as a USB or Bluetooth headset/headphones. There are some nicer Bluetooth headphones on the market.

  • All my technology needs are now met with my iPad Air. Do I still need a computer for syncing etc?

All my technology needs are now met with my iPad Air. Do I still need a computer?

Only you can make that decision. If you say that all of your computer needs are met, then you have answered the question yourself.
I would never rely totally on iCloud for backups. I want more control than what Apple has to offer with iCloud and I don't want to have to pay for the storage that I need as the content on my iPad continues to grow. I realize that I had to buy the computer, as well, but I can backup my iPad to iTunes, backup my iTunes library with Time Machine and backup other files with another external drive that I have connected to my MacBook Pro.
I just don't trust all of my content being in the cloud or in Aplple's servers. Just a matter of choice.

  • Do I still need to use the old mobile me backup system for backing up a mac desktop and if I delete it will it affect the memory of my system which has now Maverics

Do I still need to use the old mobile me backup system for backing up all my data and having it able to get at in case of a crash, or can the icloud reset everything? Because I can not find any structured refrence, as to how it would be done. I am updated to Maverics. Also does the icloud continue if I uninstall the backup to free up space?

MobileMe was discontinued in 2012 and all the data stored on it was deleted, and iCloud can't make backups of Macs.
What I recommend you to make backups is to get an external drive and use Time Machine or an application like Carbon Copy Cloner. With this, you can access to your data everywhere and safely, and then, if you want, use a cloud storage service like CrashPlan. You can keep on using iCloud without backups

  • Downloaded songs still need internet?

    Hey all,
Ok I bought the works when iCloud came up.  I have iTunes match, etc, etc.  I have not spent much time to ensure my music and movies are all clouded correctly and I know there have been some issues for some people but so far it seems to work...  HOWEVER...
On Monday and Tuesday I helped a friend drive his car from Portland Or back to Colorado.  At a few places during the trip we had limited digital network on our phones.  I have about 50 songs which I've pressed the little cloud button and downloaded them to my phone because I wanted them available even without a network connection.
Well I found out that some of these still would not play and the network spinner would spin almost like it was authorizing the song over the internet.  But since we were in the middle of nowhere, Wyoming nothing happened.  I waited at times for 2 or 3 minutes and gave up.  These were songs that I KNOW I downloaded to the phone and I can see them taking up physical space in my phone.
So what gives?  If you download from the cloud using the cloud and down arrow do you still need some kind of internet connection to authorize the song?  The really stupid thing was that some of these were my own songs... I mean songs I created using Logic.  Even some of those would not play.  They've been up in the cloud for sometime and I forced them to download along with some of the commercial songs.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    M

Ok I'll give that a try.  Is there any icon that indicates they are not complete?  These songs looked perfectly normal with no cloud next to them and I have played some of them here on the home WiFi.
    Thanks for you help.

  • Destination creation problem in Cloud Environment

    Hello,
I am having a problem with the creation of a destination (hana.ondemand.com) - Import from File method.
The destination I am creating has a password that looks like this: 0!8)^(mH3p*V2>p
When I used this destination I got a 401 error from the server I was trying to connect to.
This doesn't happen on a local server (SDK 1.51.16), and when I edit the destination -> password the issue is fixed.
I am guessing that the special characters used in this password falls under some escaping rules that were changes in the Import from File feature.
This file was used to create a destination in the past (multiple times) without any problems - so this is a new bug.
How can I create a bug for this?
Do I need to add escaping characters to my password?
    Thanks,
    -Eran Bergman

    Hi Timo,
The destination is indeed created, but when I use the destination API for getting a HttpClient based on the destination I get an authentication error from the remote server I am connecting to.
If I would edit the destination and copy+paste the password (the exact same one from the imported file) I don't get the authentication error anymore.
From the cockpit you can't really see the exact content of the destination's password, so I can't know for sure how it was created from the file import, but in this case it doesn't work properly.
My guess is some form of escaping problem in the import process.
This (import destination) problem does not happen on a local server (SDK 1.51.16), just on the cloud environment, which is much harder to debug of course...
    Regards,
    Eran Bergman
