Mayuk, you are not making any sense here.
True color (24-bit)
"True Color" redirects here. For images with natural color rendition, see true-color.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Truecolor.png 24 bits (16,777,216 colors, "truecolor")
True color supports 24-bit for three RGB colors. It provides a method of representing and storing graphical-image information (especially in computer processing) in an RGB color space such that a very large number of colors, shades, and hues can be displayed in an image, such as in high-quality photographic images or complex graphics. Usually, true color is defined to mean 256 shades of red, green, and blue, for a total of 224 or 16,777,216 color variations. The human eye can discriminate up to ten million colors.[13]
 Color images composed from 3 grayscale images A, B & C assigned to R,G & B in different orders.
"True color" can also refer to an RGB display-mode that does not need a color look-up table (CLUT).
For each pixel, generally one byte is used for each channel while the fourth byte (if present) is being used either as an alpha channel, data, or simply ignored. Byte order is usually either RGB or BGR. Some systems exist with more than 8 bits per channel, and these are often also referred to as true color (for example a 48-bit true-color scanner).
Even with true color, monochromatic images, which are restricted to 256 levels, owing to their single channel, can sometimes still reveal visible banding artifacts.
True color, like other RGB color models, cannot express colors outside of the gamut of its RGB color space (generally sRGB).
Macintosh systems refer to 24-bit color as "millions of colors".
RGBA color space, or 32-bit color, is a variant of true color in which the additional 8-bit is allocated to transparency and indicates how transparent is the element to which the color is assigned, when overlaid on other elements.

If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

I don't understand how elements organizer and adobe photoshop elements relate - how/where do I save edited photos?  I tried to save them on my hard drive and the result was a 65 MB file!!!  Not sure what I'm doing wrong :/ - maybe I'm saving the entire folder every time instead of just an individual photo?

There is no standard field for faces. To transfer information you must put it in the standard place that the new program will use. That does not exist for faces. One work around would be to use keywords. You include the available metadata in a photo by checking all if the boxes when you export the photo(s). What the receiving program is determined by the authors of that program. All iPhoto can do is write what it offers to the IPTC & EXIF fields which it will

  • HELP! My photos are being held captive. They are trapped in Adobe Photoshop 3.2 I can' access them.

HELP! My photos are being held in Adobe Photoshop 3.2 I
cannot access them. Can anyone help me?

    funnyface,
Photoshop Album has been discontinued for several years now, I recommend that folks find an alternative solution; you could try Picasa from Google, or the Windows built in photo gallery app; both essentially do what Starter Edition did, with respect to organizing photos for you.
You photos remain wherever you intially put them, on your hard drive (see more thorough description below). To get to them, you can navigate your file system using Windows Explorer. They are typically in your My Documents>My Pictures folder. Here is a handy How-To that you could refer to to find photos on your system, as well as some other tips for how you can use folders to keep your photos organized:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/find-a-picture-on-your-computer. Note that instructions might differ if your operating system differs; that info was not provided, so I can't be specific with help.
Some background about how Starter Edition worked:
It is a common misconception that Starter Edition 'stores', or copies, your files into it. But the program does not move or copy files at all, rather it scans your system's My Pictures directory, and generates miniature versions of your pictures (called thumbnails) so that you can browse a 'flat' list of thumbnails of your photos, overcoming the inconvenience of having to go into separate folders in Windows Explorer to have to find files. The thumbnails, as well as any tags, and Albums that you create in Starter Edition are all stored in the Photoshop Album catalog file, separate from your pictures, and your pictures remain where you originally copied them to your computer.
If you use Photoshop Album to subsequently download files from a digital camera or scanner, the default location where the program will create those files would be in the My Pictures>Digital Camera Photos folder. But if you do NOT use Photoshop Album Starter edition to download files from your camera, then you will find that folder empty.
    Hope those tips help!

Did you check the format of the photos you synced through iTunes?
iOS and iPod: Syncing photos via iTunes
On a Mac, these file formats will sync from your iPhoto Library to your device: JPG, JPEG, TIFF, PICT, GIF, PNG, JPG2000 or JP2, PSD, SGI, and BMP.
On Windows, these file formats will sync to your device: JPG , JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIF, TIFF, PSD, SGI, and PNG.

Do these albums on the iPad have the cloud icon next to them? If they do, they are albums that you have previously purchased from iTunes. You can remove them from the Music app by going to Settings>iTunes &App Store>Show All>Music>Off.

  • JAI - Saved image has black background (unless screen config is True Color)

    Hi!
I'm trying to save images using JAI's codecs. Everything is okay if screen config is True Color, but if in 256 colors (or even in 65536 colors) the background of my images looks very dark...
Can you please have a look at the code bellow (and try it with some different screen configs). I'm really stuck with that issue; any suggestion may help...
    NOTE:
    - I've noticed this problem when using JAI's jpeg codec.
    - The problem occurs with both JDK 1.3 and 1.4.
    - The problem does not occur (only) if screen config is True Color.
    - You must rerun the code after changing screen config.
    Thanks for help...

  • Color formatting in SSAS

    Using SQL Server 2008 R2:
I have a star schema with a fact table containing the following:
ID BIGINT IDENTITY, FK_Dimension1 BIGINT, FK_Dimension2 BIGINT,
    dataValue NUMERIC(20, 8), classification NVARCHAR(20)
The classification defines the security classification for each dataValue, and can contain either "public" or "confidential".
I've created a degenerate dimension which contains the classification field, and the dataValue resides in the associated measure table.
My requirement is to format the dataValue in any tool that is rendering the data as RED if any value in the aggregation of that field contains an associated classification of "confidential". So for example if in an excel pivot table I was displaying
the aggregation of 3 values and one of them was confidential then the value should display as red text.
I have the following MDX query in my cube calculations to handle the formatting:
    CALCULATE;
    SCOPE
    [Measures].[dataValue]
    If([MyDegenDimension].[Classification].[Confidential]) Then
    Fore_Color(This) = 255
    End If;
    END SCOPE;
This works great whenever there are values in the dataValue field other than zero. If I drill down in my pivot table to show a single value that happens to be zero then the color formatting does not apply. The business requirement is that any confidential value
should be flagged as red, and it's valid that a zero value could be confidential. Note it displays the dataValue as red even if the classification dimension is not used in the pivot table.
Is there any way I can alter my MDX query so that it works for zero values as well?

    Hi Greg,
According to your description, you need to set the measure value to red when associated classification measure value is "confidential", right?
In your scenario, there is a classification value for each record, right? In this case, you can create a measure based on classification, then set the DataValue measure value's color based on the classification measure. Here is the sample query for you reference.
    CREATE MEMBER CURRENTCUBE.[Measure].[X] AS [Measures].[DataValue]
    , FORE_COLOR=IIF([Measures].[Classification]="confidential", RGB(255,0,0), RGB(0,0,0))
    , BACK_COLOR=RGB(255,255,255)
    , FONT_SIZE=10
    , FORMAT_STRING='#,#.000'

This is a thread that discusses your problem.
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/12a17fa5-ddab-4480-8973-1a13bfb2e8fd/need-more-than-16bit-color-depth-on-windows-xp-mode?forum=w7itprovirt
Your app is probably calling for 32-bit color, and XP Mode with
integration features doesn't support that.  There's 3 ways around it.
one, is to enable remote desktop in XP Mode and connect to the VM with
    remote desktop.
2nd is to turn off the integration features and then you can set the XP
Mode desktop to 1024x7687 and 32-bit color
and 3rd, if you app supports 24-bit color, there's a registry hack to do
it.  It's in the thread I posted above.
