Does anyone know where I can take a DPS course in Chicago

  • Start Course Now button in Classroom Courses

    Hi ,
We are facing an issue with the BSP pages. We have Start Course Now button in Classroom Courses which is weird.
Can some one tell me what might be the issue.I have checked the course types and it is fine.Do i need to check anything apart from this.
    Thanks,
    Anil

    Hi Anil,
Could you please check the Enhancement Pack level for the LSOFE component? Both EA-HRGXX and LSOFE should be on the same level i.e. 604. Kindly activate the EhP4 switch for LSOFE and try again.
Can you please check that if the infotype 5009 or 5003 is maintained for the course (object type E) in the system?
Please also upgrade the SP level of LSOFE and other components.
    This should resolve the problem.
    Best Regards

  • Classroom Courses for JDeveloper 10g

I'd like you all to know that the first teaching events for our JDeveloper 10g production courses are now scheduled. You can register for the new "Java Programming" course (May 17-21 in Mississauga, Canada) and the "Build Applications with ADF" course (May 24-28 in Reston, VA).
These first production teaches are "proving" events; a regular schedule at various global locations will follow, after these events are completed. But the above events are an early chance to grab a full week of training.
You can find details (and register) for JDeveloper 10g classes through this link:

    Sir ,
I want to learn Digital Publishing Suite. Is there any coching or training institute at delhi in India???

    Hi Vimleshky
One possibility, if you don't mind online training, is a new DPS training course from our own Bob Levine on Lynda.com:

  • E-Learning Solution - Booking Courses through curriculum

    Hi Experts!
In our Organization we create a course group (G) and assign Course type (D) and book the students for the respective courses accordingly in the portal.
What I need to know is,
    1) What Curriculum is used for?
    2) Can we create courses under curriculum and register the students in the portal?
Would appreciate if you can guide me on this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Suvasini

    Hi Dear,
A Curriculum type is a course type that contains other course types as elements. It establishes a logical grouping and can be booked as a single u2018booking codeu2019. In general terms you can call a curriculum is collection of coursetypes.
The different elements of a curriculum are dealing with the same subject and are build upon one another.
Some Points you have to keep in mind while creating curriculum :
    1. Before a curriculum can be created at least one curriculum type and one element type must be defined.
    2. All types once created could be used as templates for the curriculum creation
    3. Elements can be assigned
--- With Sequence Rules-Elements must be completed in a predefined order.
--- Without Sequence Rules -No specific order is mandatory.
The delivery method might not be the same for all elements means you can assign classroom course, E-learning courses and other kind of courses under one currciulm.
Transaction for creating currculum type is LSO_PVDC.
    Thanks and best Regards

  • Why are iPhone/iPad Development courses so expensive?

Hi. I recently wanted to start learning about how to make iPhone/iPad apps after having a couple of good ideas for ones. Unfortunately, while I am very Mac proficient and computer savvy, I don't have any experience with coding. It appears you need some basic knowledge of coding to start making apps. But when I search around for online courses, or community college courses for iPhone/iPad development, they are all incredibly expensive, ranging from $1000 to $3,000.
I'm just wondering if anyone can help me understand why these courses are so pricy.
It would seem the best (cheapest) way to learn is to sift through all the free resources on the net and buy a book or two. Does anyone else have any good ideas? I think it would be very helpful to be in a classroom course, but there's no way I can afford thousands of dollars for something I essentially want to do as a hobby.
    Thank you!

You would need to ask this of the training company or school offering the course. But it's not inexpensive to hire teachers who know enough about development to teach a class, nor to provide a computer lab in which students can work.
If you want to do this just as a hobby, then the printed materials and web sites offering development help, along with the free course Stanford offers through iTunes U:
    http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=395605774
would be the way to go. If you have no experience in programming, you'll need to start by learning at least the rudiments of the C programming language before you dive into iOS development.
    Regards.

  • Business Events iview - to include LSO web courses

Good day.  I'm new to the Sap World, this explains my question.  Our R/3 is SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 5.0 and portal is SAP NetWeaver 2004.  My question is related to HCM and LSO. For MSS - Employee Data - Personnel Development - Business Event the iview calls function hrwpc_rfc_ep_read_events which displays business events/classroom courses (E) but no web courses (ET).  We need to integrate both in the iview.  Does SAP has a solution for this, under the given implementation?  Could I change the code myself, where can I find info for this?  Which are my options?  Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi
You can always display Trainings of the employee including E-Learnings & classroom training of the employees you are managing.
Check the data ,if the employee is enrolled to a E-learning object ET, secondly, check if the manager has authorizatuion to display object ET & relationship of participation (IT 1001) .You can check with the help of trace on the MSS user when tring to load this iviiew if there are any authorization failures.
    Thanks

  • LSO - Perform Course Appraisal

    Hi All,
I have this requirement where I m suppose to check which all participants have performed the course appraisal which they atteneded (Classroom or WBT).
Requirement is to send a mail to all the participants who have attended the training but not performed the course appraisal.
    Thanks in advance,
    Neha

    Hi,
Please find the solution for this requirement.
"A notification to remind employees to complete a course appraisal form after the completion of the course.
Condition 1: No reminder should be sent out if an employee hasnu2019t attend the course.
Condition 2: The reminder should be only for course followup action is done.
Condition 3: If an employee doesnu2019t have an email address then his/her manager needs to be notified by email that their employees will have to fill out a course evaluation form.
Condition 3A: For a classroom course, if there is more than one employee in a team attending the course, then a single email should be sent out to the manager listing all the employees in his/her team that have attended the course but do not have an email address."
Fetch all the class room courses (Object Type E or ET ) and its relationships (A/025) with Person (Object Type P) and get their ADATANR and PERNR
Validate and fetch the followup flag for all the available ADATANR from HRPAD25 (adatanr ,followup flag) and sort Object wise (E) PERNR's
get the appraisal document ids based on course E or ET Type and extended appraisee Id from HRHAP_APPEE
Based on above appraisal document Ids and persid from HRP1001 and type P,get the consolidated documents from HRHAP_APPER
Fetch the data from hrhap table and get the appraisal status other than 5, based on above consolidated data
Based on the above cons data we have to get the email ids.
If email ID's are not available for the attendees, the consolidated email notification has to send to the reporting position at course level.  (Check A/002 relationship).
    Thanks,
    Anil

  • I'm looking for a Deep dive type of training based on the 20467 course (Designing BI solutions with SQL 2012)

I am looking for an instructor led classroom course around the Midwest, But everything I find is remote Instructor led class. And the online classes are only 6 hours 45 minutes a day, if you figure in a 45 minutes lunch, is it possible for one
to learn the course thoroughly in 30 hours over five days?
Although I took a class at CertificationCamps in Florida and they managed to compress a class from six days to three. but all we did was go through a book of exercises, and then go to our hotel rooms and memorize test Q&A. It was a waste of six grand
and useless. I retained nothing two years later.
Perhaps there are some Midwest (Indianapolis) BI developers who can recommend a place to go. Or let me know if you can really learn in a remote class.

    Hi Developer,
If I understand you correctly, you are looking for deep dive type of training about designing BI solutions in SQL Server 2012, right?
Since this is a non-technical question, I changed this thread from Questions type to Discussion. Hope some experienced person can help you.

  • Direct3D won't install

I'm also having problems with my video card (GeForce FX 5200). Everytime I try to play a DVD, I get an error message that reads: "Direct3D: Unable to create device. Try changing resolution or color depth." Of course I tried and it didn't work. (it never worked). Now I tried to play a game (Hitman 2), and I'm getting the same message. I ran DXDIAG and discovered that Direct3D isn't even installed. I installed nVidia6121 driver, but am in the same boat. Any help?
Here's the output from the DXDIAG.txt file, but basically no Direct3D is the problem (THANKS!):
