In Disk storage, "Others" occupies more space...what is others?
In my disk storage it occupies 54 GB for others... What is this others...
Size of all my documents are 20 GB only.. Then what about 30 GB...

you can then see the two seperate entries.
icloud storage is for backup of settings and such, device storage is for apps, music, books and such.
you cannot load more onto the device if it is out of space. -
I have an iphone6 16gb and the device storage is showing more than what i have installed in it. A few days ago suddenly i got a popup window of my device storage getting full though i hardly had 4-5 apps and 500mb of photos. I tried restoring the phone and using it again as a new phone, i got my 10gb of storage but it still holds around 900 mb of storage which is not accounted. When i connect my phone to itunes, around 868mb is shown in the others section. I have no backed up data except for the contacts which are there in the icloud account. i dont understand what is that 868 mb of data.
This space is taken up by iOS 8.

The bar other occupies more than 10 Gb
I have an iPod Touch 5th generation and when I synchronize it, the bar other occupies more than 10 Gb. I've already reseted my iPod but today this happened again. Idk what to do and this seems to be a problem from the new iOS.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

for my ipod 3g 8gb in itunes where the info for the memory is half of the memory is taken up by "other" so im wondering what this other is and how to get rid of it?

"Other" option in storage is taking more space..
Is it normal that from the very first time I open my macbook pro after operating system reinstallation is that the "Other" option in storage is already taking up more space? Now, I have 4.1 MB Audio, 42.3 MB Movies, 115.4 MB Photos, 1.1 GB Apps, 0KB Backups, and 9.12 GB OTHER... (This is right after the Mac OS X v 10.7.3 reinstallation.

I down loaded the Oracle 10gR2 for Windows Vista and installed in my Note book. It installed correctly. But when I inserted data into a table using FOR loop, it occupies more than 15 GB of space. So, should I modify any parameter or what is the step I have to take.
The query I used is

You should never, EVER let a conputer hard drive get completely full, EVER!
With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your Mac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Look through your other Mailboxes and other Mail categories to see If there is other mail you can archive and/or delete.
Other things you can do to gain space.
Once you have around 15 GBs regained, do a search, download and install OmniDisk Sweeper.
This app will help you locate files that you can move/archive and/or delete from your system.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.

Ok so I have a MacBook Pro that has 750 gigs of space but I keep getting an error message that my scratch hard drive us full. When I look at the storage it's saying that I have 1.5 available gigs of space and when I dig deeper it shows that it's not video, audio or document but it's other. What can it be and what can I do about it?

How can I delete videos from the cloud when I don't want to keep them anymore.
I recently tried to download PARKER with no luck so am presuming their is no more space.What you have stored in iCloud is unrelated to your abiity to download things to your iPad. You need to look at local storage. Settings>General>Usage.

I've started a site in Dreamweaver CS3 using a 2 column fixed
template with header. My client wants more space between the left
column nav bar and the body as well as around the photo embedded in
the body. I've tried adjusting the padding by editing the CSS style
on the body segment. However, every time I add even one pixel of
padding to the right or left in the body the entire content jumps
to below the nav bar. Help! My width is 750 pixels and the float is
set to left if that makes a difference.That means that you have not adjusted the widths of the inner
containers to
allow more space. In other words, when you increase padding,
you would have
to decrease some width by the same amount - read about the
"BOX MODEL" to
understand.

i upload all of my photos from my iphone 5 onto my macbook air to get more space on my phone, and now whenver i try to upload it says there is no more storage or there was a problem transferring a picture. what can I do to get more space onto my iphoto? I've tried putting the pictures on flashdrives, but iphoto would no tlet me transfer.
I don't know how large the SSD (solid state hard drive) is, or how big your iPhone 5 is, but with some iPhones having 64GB and some Airs having as little as 64GB and some having as much as 512GB it's not hard to see how storing the contents of your iPhone 5 on your Macbook Air could run you out of space.
Go to the Macbook Air and bring up a finder window and pull the Go menu down and go to the Computer. Right click on the Macintosh HD and select get info. See if there is any available space on the MacBook Air. If not you are out of SSD space (you're storing more on your Macbook Air than it has storage for). I'm not sure if iTunes can store its library on an external hard drive or quite how you would make that happen. But even if you managed that, when the hard drive was disconnected, you would lose access to your library. Using a smart media card might be possible (I don't know) but it would probably be irritatingly slow. If you have a small Air and a big iPhone you might just have to find a different computer to sync to. Just remember a 64GB iPhone is a big chunk of SSD for a Macbook Air. I did it with my previous and my current Air but even my previous one had 256GB and I really just fit.
