In Dreamweaver CC code view, how do I reenable shift-control+arrow keys to select words?

In previous versions of Dreamweaver (for Windows but presumably for other operating systems as well) and in pretty much any other text editor (except maybe for vi/m but including the one I'm using to write this message in now). I can select characters using shift plus the arrow keys and select words by pressing shift-control plus the arrow keys. It seems you now have to use shift-alt to select words. I don't want to have to undo about 25 years of habit just for Dreamweaver.
Please say this is an easy setting I can uncheck somewhere! Thanks!

That is an issue that has come up a lot lately...
Make sure to add your voice to the others here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform and hopefully in the next release they'll put it back to normal.

Please make sure that the next button is pinned to the right side as there in the attached image.
If it is already pinned, you can try removing any embedded HTML code and checking it.

a form on your
page? If you do, and you are wanting to alter the appearance
of it, use
CSS. You do know that the red dashes are only seen when
looking at the page
in DW's Design view, right? Or maybe are you asking how to
change THAT
appearance? Like from red dashes to green dashes? Sorry - I
have no idea
how to do that.

I have Windows Xp, and full version of Dreamweaver 4. I

Dreamweaver 4 was notorious for the little icons getting
'stuck' in one
position or the other. Suddenly for no apparent reason they
would clear
themsleves.
In the meantime you can get to code view by going
'window'>'code
inspector' try that and see what happens

How to select multiple cells on a spreadsheet (online diary) without click and drag or shift and arrow keys as iPad has neither :(

Hey guys really annoyed as I got my I pad with main reason of being able to update my online diary which is basically a spreadsheet, but I can't select more than one cell to book out a time slot, dragging just tees up the copy function and without arrow keys cannot shift and highlight, coming from windows wandering if this function is done another way on macs? Any help would be appreciated as I'm thinking only way is to get the wireless keyboard which has arrow keys but kind of defeats the point of iPad.

I guess I should state how much of a newbie I am.
I did take a summer Java course at a community college this summer and I have some other programming experience (mostly Matlab).
The course covered a lot of the language but it wasn't exhaustive. We covered (in no particular order) Arrays, Interfaces, overloading, inheritance, loops, actionlisteners, Layout managers, exceptions (a little) One thing that we really didn't get into were packages.
We did some GUI design, but not a whole lot.
The programming that I do with Matlab is very similar to C. (i.e. highly procedural not Object Oriented) so I think that's where some of my stumbling blocks are. I feel pretty comfortable reading Java code and using the API (sort of) but I didn't even know that 2D intersections existed.
I have just started using eclipse last week. My previous coding was just done with textpad, so I am trying to get used to compiling code and building projects (and .jars) with an IDE.

Has anyone run into this issue, since I loaded Snow Leopard my HTML code files viewed in Dreamweaver are so small and hard to read. The CSS files are just fine and a normal size. I have not found a way to increase the size of the view and that feature is not available - to zoom by percentage.
Dreamweaver HTML files are also small on my macbook.

CRVS2010 Beta - WPF Viewer, how to hide the GroupTree control?

All,
I would like to turn off the display of the GroupTree for my reports using some property or function call?
I would also like to hide the text "Main Report" displayed in the status bar. This is for the WPF viewer, not the WinForms viewer.

For those who are using the WinForms viewer you can use the following code to hide/show the grouptree control. Add this property to the class that is hosting the viewer.

How do i get my down arrow key unstuck????

My down arrow key is stuck and its driving me crazy! I believe its slowing function on my computer because it thinks something else is going on. No spills and I mostly use for browsing. Took to Genius Bar in local Apple Store and they replaced the button but its not functioning correctly. Pretty Please Help!!!!

i personally WOULD call and talk to them again. hopefully its not a hassle to go back into the apple store.

How to fix a broken right arrow key

My macbook pro is still fully functional, and so is the right arrow key. I can push the top of the key and it will still, you know, register (if that is what it's called). But, it feels like a pin isnt attatched underneath the key. Apple instructed me to go get it repaired, but i really dont have the time. If it is a simple repair, i will do it myself. But, if no one has a clue, I will just go repair it. Thanks guys!

Blank spaces in code view

Hello,
Whenever I copy and paste text from another website -- sometimes from my own website after it goes live -- onto Dreamweaver, the text looks just fine in Design view. Fonts and paragraphs are preserved, as they're supposed to according to my preferences.
However, when I look at the code view, there are always several -- sometimes a whole lot of -- blank spaces separating words; blank spaces that were not in the original text (even in code view) and that can't be detected in Dreamweaver's design view.
It looks ok online just like it looks ok in Dreamweaver's design view, but I'm just a little concerned that those blank spaces may confuse search engine crawlers.
For instance. In design view and online, one sees:
"Great Holiday"
but in the code view/source page you'll see
"Great Holiday"
That's what the crawlers and spiders will see as well. And they may think that "Great Holiday" and "Great Holiday" are two different sets of keywords when they should be the same.
How can I ensure that only *one* blank space is allowed in Dreamweaver's code view, whenever I copy and paste text from webpages? Is there a way that I can preserve the texts' format and fonts while ensuring *one* blank space in code view?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Notice the blank spaces separating "featuring the voices" or "Gerard Butler." Those shouldn't be there. Maybe it makes no difference. On the browsers, it all looks fine. But is there a way to ensure that Dreamweaver doesn't allow more than one blank space between words in code view?
Also, *no one* has responded to my query about automatic hyperlinks for images. Any ideas?

Hold down the cmd (⌘) key and briefly press the tab key (⇥) then use the left/right arrow keys to select the application you wish to switch to. When done release the cmd key.

I have drawn a rectangular selection around an area I want to change contrast and didn't quite size it perfectly to include the photo.
I can try to redraw it, but I would rather use the keyboard arrow keys to increase the size horizontally or vertically, one pixel at a time.

You would think there would be a way to put selection handles on the selection and just drag or keyboard arrow to expand in a give direction.
No shift, control, alt key combination to do this?
Speaking of selection handles, I did something similar by accident once.
I was working with a border in the image and trying to cover up a gummed label that was on the source document which I scanned.
I copy pasted a portion of my image. Somehow I got selection handles on the pasted portion(don't know how). I wanted to move the paste over wihtout destroying what had been underneath before the paste
Anyhow, what happened was I did not move the pasted section but STRETCHED IT. In this case that was OK because I was just stretching the border horizontally and it didn't look bad, but I don't even know what keystroke combination I did to put those selection handles on the paste.

Arrow (left, right, up or down) in front of the first character of the word. While holding down the shift key right arrow to the last character (or you could go from last character right arrow to the first) release the shift and arrow key(s). The word is now selected.

How do I change Dreamweaver CC default view from split to code?!

In Dreamweaver CC, everytime I edit a .html file it defaults to the split view; I want it to open everything in code view! I have tried EDIT>PREFERENCES>FILE TYPES/EDITORS and added it to the open in code view option. But when I do this there is no option to switch between code-split-design when editing the file. I just want it to open everything into code view by default. I never had this problem with any other version of Dreamweaver and its driving me insane. I am only trying CC but this is a deal breaker for me, I would rather keep using CS6 if I cant get this changed. Please help! Thanks.

This is Adobe. They are too busy adding really obscure features to worry about your ability to control the work interface simply.
I too have this problem.
I think however, the best way would be for us to exchange lives as I have code view as the default and cant change that.
I think it would be simpler for us to exchange lives then it would be for adobe to fix the problem with their live cloud based software that you cant own and constantly reminds you of that fact by forcing you to register your product again and again.
No point in troubling their development staff who all seem to live in India even though I thought Adobe was a US company.
I hear they are busy with a module that allows people that use SASS and LESS at the same time as Fluid grids to make tea remotly thats dispensed via the USB 3.0 socket of any SkyLake equipped 14nm processor based laptop.
