The simplest answer is to choose the language you work best with, and that fits the clients specification the best.
I have mixed server languages on a site before, (would not recommend) when a client has decided they wish to change from their old one to a new(er) /different one, the only thing you must watch if doing this, is that you do not mix languages on the same page (will not work correctly, if at all), and parameter passing.

Adding a new context menu option to KM

I want to add a new menu option to KM that appears when a user clicks the context menu of an xmlform generated xml file.
From reading the forums it appears I need to edit an existing UI Command Group, adding a newly created Command that points to a Java class containing a handler class that implements ICommand?
-How do I know which command group to add my command to?
-Can I make the new command appear only for xml files generated by xmlforms?

You have to know what layout set is used in the navigation iView. If you do not know this, you have can add your user to the Debugging Settings list (KM Configuration -> Content Management -> User Interface -> Debugging Settings) and click on the Rendering Information link in the iView.
After that you can go to the Layout Set settings ((KM Configuration -> Content Management -> User Interface -> Settings -> Layout Set) and check the settings of the Resource Renderer in use. For example if use the AdminExplorer LayoutSet you'll have to take a look at AdminResourceRenderer configuration. There you can see the Command Group used for Resources (Resource Command Group).
This is the group you have to edit.

Unfortunately you can only use different groups for Resources, Folders and Links but not for different type of Resources.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Remove New Link Menu Option

Hello, all!
I am looking to remove the New > Link option in the Portal Favorites iView. From looking through the forum posts, it looks like I have to create my own Layout Set and define commands. I have done all of that, but in my copied command group, it looks like it only defines the Clipboard and Details sections. I can't seem to find where to define which options to show under "New."
When you are in the Organize Entries of the Portal Favorites iView, you can click beside your Favorites folder and select New > < Folder..., Link..., External Link... >. I need to remove the "Link..." option. Does anyone know how to do that?

Your requirement can be done probably.
Just check the steps below.
1.Check the Layout of the Portal Fav iView.
 PortalFavoritesExplorer
2.Check the collection renderer of the Layout
 PortalFavoritesCollectionRenderer
3.Check the Components(Use Show Advanced)
 OrganizePortalFavoritesEntries
4. Now check this Component:Content Management->(Show Advanced Options)Mapping->Component.
 Search for the component: OrganizePortalFavoritesEntries
 Now you will see it uses a Command : EditFavorites
5. Edit the Command : EditFavorites
 You will see in the Parameters, it is using a layout:PortalFavoritesMaintenance
6. Open layout:PortalFavoritesMaintenance
7. Edit the Collection Renderer PortalFavoritesMntcCollectionRenderer
8. Edit the Collection Command Group: LinkListMntcCollectionCommandGroup
9. Edit the Command Group: LinkListMntcNewResourceGroup
10.Edit the Commands :Remove the new_internal_link Command.

Got a wp doc. made back in 1989 - 90 with a Mac SEII, about 70 pages long. Is there any way to translate this and get it into Pages on my new Mac without owning old machines and operating systems to see what i wrote as the Berlin wall was coming down?

I've got a document , some 70 pages long that was made back in the late '80's with Pagemaker on an SEII mac. The docs are on 2 floppies, but I can't open them, because I can't find any application that can read the files. I've got other documents that go back to 1984, when I bought my first Mac, that I can't open, either. I'd like to be able to get these files into Pages and send them out to family once again. Any recommendations?

No other application can open PageMaker files, only PageMaker. You'd need a copy of PageMaker (and license) and a Mac of ancient vintage, one with a floppy drive. The ancient Mac is needed not just to read the floppied but to run PageMaker which won't run on modern Macs.
Frankly, if you have a paper copy, scan it and start from that!

Now I want to start a new site on a completely different subject. But every time I go to start the new site, it just seems to be 'papering' over the details of the old one. How can I begin a completely new site without overwriting the details of the previous site, and where do I save the original site details to for easy access.

if you are creating and developing a dashboard using an Excel Sheet A, and after you finished the Development Stage you want to change the Data before you export the run time dashboard, you either have those data into another Excel sheet (with the same format), or you edit the Existing you.
Xcelsius save time for you if you have the SAME Excel sheet with different VALUES
so you can export using this Excel sheet to get a new runtime dashboard,
for example,
you have an Excel sheet for the values of Month OCTOBER values, and you exported the dashboard
after some time later you had the same Excel sheet with the month NOVEMBER Values, so its a new sheet, but with the same format, you can generate the dashboard using the NOVEMBER values, and so on, you can change it for every new month once you have a new sheet.

Cant create new site - it crash immediatelly

I bought CC in may as I work on 2 computer - IMAC and book Air - and I am unable to create a site - or opening from my backup portable harddisk.
my Book air is now updated - the help desk is -as usual when you need help - off due bank holidays -somewhere - not in Switzerland
when i try to open a "recent" i get only the round - circle running unit it crushes - same for opening new site.

Video menu option is missing from my iPod menu.

I purchased a 60gb photo ipod approximately two weeks before the video release. When the video release software was available I downloaded it and the "video" option appeared on my iPod menu. A few weeks later I ordered my first videos from Itunes. After downloading the videos and updating my iPod, I found the video menu option was gone from my iPod. I have reset my ipod, deleted and installed new software, used the updater and have never been able to get the "video" menu option to show up again on my iPod. I can view the video in itunes but I can't get it onto my iPod. I just downloaded the latest iPod and iTunes software today and still no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, were you able to fix it? I love the iPod and would like it a lot more if the video function worked for me. Thx for the help.

Is there a way to completely disable tabs (removing all tab related menu options) for firefox 10. I hate tabs and recent changes to the menus make incorrect selection of 'open in new tab' when what I want is 'open in new window' a common and unwelcome occurrence.

Ever since I downloaded the new version a few days ago I get full screen popup ads whenever I try to open a new site. It's INCREDIBLY annoying, and sometimes there is no icon to close them. WHY, why would Firefox allow this?

I don't HAVE any more details. Whenever I open a new site, I get (so far) one of two full screen advertisements. Most of the time there is the word "Skip" in the upper right hand corner, but on occasion that is not there, and there no way to get beyond the ad screen except to go into what they are trying to sell you. It is imposing and obnoxious to the nth. This has only happened since I downloaded the latest version (I think the BETA 4) 3 days ago. If this can not be resolved, I want to go back to the older version.

I'm not sure where the Apple and Pages menu option is. When I'm editing a document in iCloud Beta the name of the document is in the window caption (below).

She has been trying to cancel her contract with them so that she can now have her new site published, but Mr Site are saying they can't do anyting until they have the IPS Tag. I think I understand. However, I thought I was using Business Catalyst for hosting, so am a bit confused about that. I've created a new site for my client using Muse and assumed that by publishing it using BC that I'd be hosting it for my client through BC. I guess that is wrong. Do you have any suggestions for how I go about hosting the site? My client purchased the domain name via Mr Site (I think?) and I'm not sure they are going to allow a site created outside of their template system to be hosted by them. I'm a bit green when it comes to the hosting side of things, this is the first Muse site that I've created and am on a very steep learning curve. Any help you can give me would be wonderful.
