In-ear buds vs normal buds?

Has anyone ever seen/bought the Apple radio remote with in-ear buds instead of the normal buds? There are photos of in-ear buds on the remote floating around the web, but I've only ever seen them in stores with the normal buds. Doing a Google image search for the various versions (A, B, C) yields no consistent results.

Sorry, I can't be of much help with your problem, but I couldn't resist---- you say YOU are "footing the bill" each time for your wife's earbuds--- I have only one question. Does your wife contribute nothing to your relationship? Earn no money? or clean your house? or take care of your children? Or cook your meals? Do your laundry? If so, how dare you say that she deserves less than you do? Ok, meant no harm, your wording just left me with a bad taste.

  • How to automatically get a call connected to ear phones?

    I own an iphone4 with ios6.0.1. I've a Samsung HM1100 ear phone.  I've enabled Bluetooth on my iPhone and it gets connected immediately when my Bluetooth enabled which is very good. Now when I receive a call, my iPhone as well rings and never auto connects to ear phone. Normally if its an earphone or headset then it should auto connect the call, how to achieve the same? Please let me know, thanks.

    Press the on/off button once to silence the call and twice to reject it and send to voicemail.

  • Why doesn't the volume control settings allow a greater range (on the low end)?

    Maybe my ears are really sensitive, but for every iphone I've had, the lowest volume is not low enough.  My phone is often louder than I want in my headphones even at the lowest setting.  I find myself trying to lower the volume but ending up in silence.  After putting it back up to the lowest setting, I end up clicking down again a few minutes later because it's too loud for my surroundings and situation.  It's a huge volume jump from the lowest setting to completely off, and alot of times the lowest setting is too loud (even with normal buds or headphones).
    The volume limiter setting only limits the upper end, but doesn't change the lower end (just makes the 16 set increments smaller in that reduced range).  I know there is also an option to turn down the volume of individual songs in iTunes options, but this problem applies to all aspects of the iphone beyond just my music library (Music apps, Videos, etc.).
    Why hasn't apple expanded the lower volume limits?  There has to be a way, or is this not possible?  Can anybody think of a way to fix this problem?

    Look for headsets with a volume control.
    I did exactly this for awhile.  I used to have Skullcandy Asyms with the inline volume attenuator (wheel).  They've since discontinued them, and my 5 pairs are having wire connectivity issues.  All their current models have iphone like volume mechanisms.  The problem is most headphones with volume controls tap into the phones own volume control (so the set 16 volume increments).  I also looked into using a dongle attenuator, but having the dongle hanging off the phone is just awkward and not easily adjustable.
    I don't know why there can't be some form of internal attenuator option, or some other way of extending the lower range of volume.
    Does anyone else have this problem of the iPhone being too loud in semi-quiet environments?

  • Would Like to Get an IPod but I Need Some Help

    Hey-
    I tried an iPod (2 that is) when the first ones came out, and I broke them from installing the software when it was already installed. (at least that is what I was told). But it said to begin by installing the provided software.) I still see how far they have come so I am here wanting any advice on what is available and what some iPod- experts would recommend for someone who has a hard time with technology stuff like this. (Plus the good am/FM radios to use while exercising are getting to be nearly nonexistent.)
    I have done some serious reading up on them and have looked up some of the iPod Manuals that people write to help the less "commonsense" people like myself.
    I am really interested in the iPod classic since it seems to have the least of what I really do not want like videos (which it might have) more basic controls are a plus, and the ability to set it up so I can upload the music in iTunes.
    I hope somebody or several people have some recommendations, things to help me that I would not think of, if the earplugs are not the best for exercising, do you know of a brand that is?
    Any pointers learned from experience and places to go to help me understand what it is when I actually do get one, etc.
    I really appreciate any help in this broad area, even if you think my post is lame So, in advance--THANKS!

    HI! Just read your post and the reply by roaminggnome and I would say he gives you all the information you need to know except for what color you like.
    I likely know less than you even do regarding the iPod but, that said, I have owned four of them. However, all bought within the last 18 months. So, I do not know of what it used to be like before then. All I can say is that I am a PC guy so Apple stuff didn't really catch my attention until I started listening the Rush Limbaugh to get the news about politics that the press seems to think is too much for us or something. I didn't really have three hours a day during the time he is on so I then heard about "podcasts." I found that I could listen to him anytime I wanted to if I just downloaded the podcasts he had of his show each day. So, I backed into the iPod or MP3 player rather than looked for one because they were a new item. I am now 59 years old and have been using computers since 1965 and I got out of the "Its new so I have to own the best and the latest" thing in my 40's. Now, having grown up, I buy what I really want because it will actually improve my life somehow, rather than just to show off.
    The point being that I had become somewhat "hardware illiterate" but when my son came home from doing 5 years in the Army - doing war stuff, and we got to know each other again, I realized that my son had become me when I was his age. He had +it all+ five times over. (The pay is much better than when I was in!) He had iPods, iPhones, etc. all over the place but, like I said, until I needed something to listen to Rush, I didn't even ask about it.
    So, when I finally got one, I really knew nothing! I had to read the directions (I am a CPA so I know how to do that.) to find out what to do. I think I remember that things had to be done in a certain order so read the directions. Sorry if what I am remembering is the directions to something else. But I found that reading the directions sure saves me a lot of work anyway - especially in the computer software area. I found the directions easy and had no problems whatsoever. In that way, roaminggnome is quite correct. It is so automatic that even a cave man could do it. Seriously. Learning iTunes seems harder to me than the iPod thing, however. Reading some of the iPod stuff on the net (a book is not included except for setting it up but running it requires going online.) is quite worth it when trying to use it the way you like.
    The iTunes Store is where I get the free podcasts and found that lots of shows have them - especially political venues. However, you can buy almost anything you want to listen to from their store. It was a fabulously ingenious thing to create because it all works so well together (great marketing idea) (Store, Podcasts, and iPod) and they make money almost every step of the way. Its like an addiction after a while anyway. I need another song, I need another song, I'd do anything to get a podcast of the guy I just heard on the radio! And like that.
    It all works quite easily and is about as hard as turning on your computer and plugging your iPod into the special cord they provide with it - which is always plugged into a USB Port on my computer. Plugging it in starts up iTunes and, depending on how you set it up in iTunes, it begins to upload to your device automatically (My son bought me the classic for Christmas last year and I always use that one now,) So, all you have to do each day, once it is set up, is to plug it in and walk away. It will load up your choices and charge the battery after that. Of course, you already know all that don't you?
    I use my iPod when I work out. I do that twice a day for about a total of three hours at least five times a week. I am in remission from a terminal disease so I want to be in the best shape possible for when I end up with cancer to try and make it through the treatments. Being 59 and seeing how the government is going to trash our health care just so he can cover millions of illegals and after reading the entire House bills with addendums, I know that my chances of getting a liver now is absolutely nil. There is no use keeping an old guy alive who can add nothing to the greater good, right? At least that is what Robert Reich (A Clinton appointee) who advises Obama said. "If you are in your 80's, we aren't going to waste medicine on you just so you can last a few more months. We're going to let you die." I appreciate honesty even when it doesn't go my way. At least I know what I am up against now. But the reality is, in a socialist environment, I will be a liability - a toxic asset and will be thrown out like yesterday's news. The country I once put my life on the line for - voluntarily - thinks of me as a problem now. The greatness of the individual and the American dream had died now and after being able to experience actual freedom in the 50's and 60's, having it taken away from me has left me so I do not really care about dieing anymore. I would rather die free than live in chains. If China wants to, they will literally own us if they do now cut Obama's nightmare borrowing and spending off quick. (Did you know that Obama is counting a raise as a new saved or created job?) Who the **** let him get away with such a phony number without learning to quantify how he gets to these numbers anyway? Talk about pulling numbers out of thin air!) The press would have NO idea how he gets these numbers, they just print it. We now have an affirmative action president who is too big to fail. And kids are now forced to learn Obama praise songs in schools. They can't read or write but they can chant Obama rap in over 20 different schools (See breitbarttv.com for proof. They did the exposes on the Acorn criminal business - of which have been incorporated under 300 different business names but are all Acorn and SEIU and share the same offices many times. This is a nightmare akin to the way Hitler took control of the citizens. He started by owning their bodies because of "health care." Once they own your health - they own you!) It lead to him declaring Jews unfit to live and that is the excuse he used for euthenasia of the old, sick, and Jew alike. He wanted to create the perfect German. That is what can happen if you sell out your personal freedoms for a thing you may hardly need for most of your life - health care. You can pay for your own before you are 50 for the most part and get catastrophic insurance for those kinds of sicknesses, like mine, that most people never even get until their 80's, if at all, and be far ahead financially. Getting old is not a sickness. It is a wearing out. Are old people worthless because they finally wore out living life and paying taxes in American now? Sick! But instead of free insurance, like these young kids foolishly think they are going to get will cost anyone who has a job, it costs actual money and they will be forced to buy this crappy insurance since all private insurances will go broke trying to compete with an entire government that does not have to make a profit because they can tax us for all the money they need (Once unconstitutional and some of this still is.)
    Anyway, now that I learned from roaminggnome about the disk drive being located in my iPod rather than just a flash drive, I will start to use my old 2 gig one for working out. Mine is the 120 gig size and I hardly use any of it except for a few TV shows I missed (Yes it has a screen) and music and podcasts to listen to while I work out. I use about 3 or 3.5 gigs of the 120 possible.
    One thing that roaminggnoe said about the earlier ones is that my 2 gig says it can allow me to use the drive as another one on my computer or something like that. So that puzzles me.
    I have to mention about the ear buds though. The ones that come with it do not have a better sound than ones you can buy. However the ones that come with it are best for working out if you use the bud type rather than the earphone type I see some using at the club, The ones that come with it allow air to get into your ear which keeps the buds dry from sweat. The ear buds that you can buy that have better sound allow your ear canal to fill up with sweat so listening to music or whatever is like listening to it under water! No kidding! I had to take them out while one the orbital machine and try and dry my ears out while jumping up and down on that machine without falling off. The Apple buds stay dry and you can still hear others around you that might be trying to get your attention there.
    Anyway, sorry I wasted so much of your time. I just wanted to assure you that even one so uninformed as I could use the new iPods, right out of the box I think it is great and I am glad I now know how to use it. I just wish I could learn how to download the podcasts in the order done on the air of shows longer than one hour. Each podcast is one hour and they always download in the wrong order - completely backwards from how they played the show. I also wish I could have it automatically play them in order instead of having to stop and select each one each hour. The music shuffles, why not the podcasts? I do find that a bit strange. Oh well, you've likely already made the purchase so you can just delete this rather than to waste your time reading it.
    Have a great day! (Don't you just hate hearing that? Especially in stores where you know they don't mean a word of it.) I have been kidding you about making this so long. I did most of it for a lark (talk about too much time on one's hands huh?)but I did mean to let you know about my using the iPod with no problems. roaminggnome said everything I did in a few sentences. Good writing.

  • Output volume reset at start up

    Hi Guys,
    need your help.
    i connect my iMac to my hi fi system, so i want to keep my iMac sound level to MAX and control my sound level at my hi fi system.
    i use to have a Mac Pro and i didn't have any problem, now i switched to iMac i7, volume level always reset to 50% after each boot?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi MGMM
    It's a built in safety feature, so that people do not blast out there ear drums when using bud's or headphones connected to the Output Jack.
    I'm not sure why you need to turn the main volume turned all the way up, ¼ to ½ should be plenty if your patching it into a decent sound (hi fi) system?

  • Is anyone as satisfied/happy with the nano as I am?

    I ordered my white 4gig nano on Sept. 12, received it on Sept. 15, personalized, with free shipping. Applied invisibleShield 4 days later, and picked up a Case Logic memory card case from Wal-Mart for $4 bucks. I lined the case with the grey cleaning cloth that came with my iMac. I heard the case was a perfect fit, and it is. I have had no problems with my nano. I tried an iPod photo several months ago, but could hear the audio defect that ilounge spoke of. I could also hear the hard drive spin up, something I had never heard from my minis. The audio from Ipod photo when not hearing the defect was great. It just sounded richer/fuller than the minis. My 1st gen. mini sounds really good, my 2nd gen. mini sounds even better, and the nano sounds better than them all, including the iPod photo! I have not had any crashes, no scratches, and no battery life problems. My headphones are Apples in-ear with Sony caps/buds. They fit the Apples perfect, and are very comfortable. For $40, they are very good. The stock Apple caps/buds will not stay in your ears. I've tried Etys. 6i, but for $150 not worth it., weak bass and small cords. I also like the speed of the nano, no lag that you get from hard drive iPods. Just wondering if anyone else is as satisfied with the nano as I am. Thanks, Anthony

    some want to use their guns- so-keep the "praises"- to yourself
    -have you heard the saying-"So the lark sang the last song"
    Sorry... Call me stupid, but does anyone understand this?
    I have a Shuffle and a Nano and To be honest, I'm not sure which one I'll keep.
    I like the Shuffles simplicity and sound quality (with a pair of $40 Sony In-Ear headphones... Apple 'phones are USELESS IMHO).
    I like the Nano's screen, interface and 4gig of space.
    THe click wheel volume control is too touch for me. I constantly have to lock the nano's controls before simple slipping it into my shirt pocket, lest my eardrums be blown out .
    But even saying that, the nano seems to lack some volume that the shuffle has (I have to play at 70% with sound check OFF, MORE with soundcheck ON). I dont like the Nano's short battery life, Fragility and the sound quality (with the SAME 'phones) doesnt seem quite as good, even fiddling with the EQ. I hear plenty of Low-end distortion.
    I still use my iPS at the gym because i dont have a nano case yet... after that, I'll see which one I decide to sell or give to a friend.
    Overall I'd say 9.5/10 for the shuffle, 8/10 for the Nano.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to reference an External Library (Server Side) in a DC-EJB Module ?

    Hi:
    I start working with hibernate in a DC component, so I create my DC project and EJB module inside. I Make an external library following this
    Thanks a lot for your time on this thread.
    Rocío.

    Hi Rocío!
      Umm, I don't usually use DC's... I don't know if this will work... you can make an EAR (New Proyect -> J2EE -> Enterpise Application Module), add your EJB Module to the EAR (right click on EJB Project and choose Add to EAR proyect), and you'll find a j2ee-engine file on it, and you can add the reference there.Then deploy the EAR.
      I normally do something similar to your issue, I make a EJB calling XI via Java Proxys, and the reference to the XI libs are allocated on the EAR, not on the EJB. This is only for runtime, for compilation you must reference the hibernate jar with an external jar file, as always.
      A dirty solution could be this one: open your generated EAR with de-compressor, and copy your hibernate jar on it (at root). This way you'll load hibernate classes at runtime (I know this is an horrible solution, this is only for testing).
      As I said before, I'm not used to DCs, so this could be wrong, and be a waste of time... I don't know further...
      Good luck

  • Checking the first radio box in a dataTable on initial load

    Hi,
    I have a datatable bound to a UIData object in a backing bean. The data table has a radio check box widget which I use to select a data row. I would like to have the first checkbox checked on an initial load, I tried using EL to no avail.....
    Any suggestions or syntax advice is appreciated. Here is my JSF tag inside the data table.... note, friends is a reference to a session variable containing the UIData elements.

    Hi Meghasyam
    Thanks for the reply, I am setting the value of <f-bud:selectItem itemValue="#{friendsList.friend.id}" /> to the value of my "Friends" primary key ID, so I know which user was selected when the form is submitted?
    If im correct in understanding you, you are saying that this value must alway be 1. If this is the case, where can I tag a value to the radio box associating it with an ID?
    I need to use a radio button UI widget as a checkbox is associated with multiple selections which is not allowed on my form, I need to only allow one selection of the table row per display.

  • Can't get launchd to work with my applescripts

    I am trying to use launchd for the first time and not succeeding. I have several applescripts all of which work when I run them either via the script editor or from Keyboard Maestro. I want to learn to run them directly using launch agents. I created the launch agents using Lingon in the basic (GUI) mode but none of them run so I must be making a systemmatic beginners mistake.
    As an example, in Lingon I select MyAgents, I use a name like com.bud.create_date, and in the "what" field I navigate to the script file (not an executable, just an editable script file). I then choose a specific time to run every day and save. Then I either logout or, lately, I have used terminal launchctl commands to load and then start the agents. I used the launchctl list command just now to check the status of one of them and I see an exit code of 512, which means I made an error but that's as much as I know.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    budsimrin wrote:
    Thanks, Barney, for replying so quickly. I actually did previously use the osascript command, but not exactly the way shown in doug's scripts. But even after changing my scripts to mirror the example you cited, I still can't get any scripts to run. Do you have any further suggestions?
    Here is an example. I have an applescript that simply toggles invisibility in the Finder. I call it vistoggle.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">

              </array>
              <key>RunAtLoad</key>
              <true/>
              <key>StartCalendarInterval</key>
              <dict>
                        <key>Hour</key>
                        <integer>20</integer>
                        <key>Minute</key>
                        <integer>0</integer>
              </dict>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    By having the program key and the program arguments, you are telling launchd to run
    osascript osascript /blah/blah/blah.scpt
    Try removing the Program key and just use ProgramArguments; perhaps with the full path to osascript as the first argument.
    See here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1563624
    It apparently times out immediately. Here is the launchctl results.
    Bud's iMac 27:~ bud$ launchctl list com.bud.recreate_date_files
              "Label" = "com.bud.recreate_date_files";
              "LimitLoadToSessionType" = "Aqua";
              "OnDemand" = false;
              "LastExitStatus" = 256;
              "TimeOut" = 30;
              "Program" = "/usr/bin/osascript";
              "ProgramArguments" = (
                        "osascript";
                        "/Volumes/MacHD/Users/bud/Library/Scripts/Bud's\ Script\ Codes/Recreate\ date\ text\ files.scpt";
    Bud's iMac 27:~ bud$
    Open up console and see if there are any launchd messages relating to that run. That may tell you why it is failing. My bet is "no such file or directory."

  • PO Commitment Reversing after 102 Mov Type

    Dear All,
    Please suggest a wayout for the below issue.
    Issue:
       When we are reversing Goods Receipt with 102 Movement Type, system reversing the total commitment created at the time of PO
    Scanario:
    The illustrated Example will give the complete information about the scenario and issue which i am facing.
    Step1: Assignment of Budget
              Fund Center :      12345
              Commitment Item:   CITEM
              Budget Amount:     50000
    Note:   I've Used the Symbol " | " to differciate the Values as Space is not showing in the posted Message
    Step2:  Material PO Created with Special Procurement Type Q
       For Ex:   Material     |  Qty   |     PO Value |   Commitment Created (Budget Consumed in RS)
                       ABC        |   10    |       10000    |                    10000
    Step3: when i see the FMB_PT01 report after PO Creation.
            Budget  |   Bud-Pay  |    Invoice   |   Bud-INV    |       Open Item    |   Res Budget
            50000   |          0       |          0      |          0         |            10000    |      40000
    Step3:  Goods Received against the above PO is 10 Qty for which Rs.10000 which is showing as follows in FMB_PT01
           Budget  |   Bud-Pay  |   Invoice   |    Bud-INV     |   Open Item |   Res Budget
           50000   |         0        |      10000 |        10000    |            0      |        40000
    Step4:  If i reverse the above GR then system is deleting all the consumed amounts and showing as follows
           Budget  |   Bud-Pay  |   Invoice    |    Bud-INV    |     Open Item  |  Res Budget
           50000   |        0         |        0        |          0          |           0         |      50000
    As far as my knowledge, if i reverse the GR, system should only reset the Values under Invoice & Bud-Inv and reassign the value under Open Item, which is not happening in our scenario.
    I hope, you all understood the scenario & issue which i am trying explain.
    So, please suggest me wht went wrong and how to rectify that..
    Thanks in Advance to All.

    Dear Alex,
    Thank you so much for the information
    I've checked the note given by you, 1282074 this is only relevant for Amount type 0300 or it will rectify the error w.r.t amount type 0500 (Adjusted by Followon Document)
    Actually, wht happening is say for example:
      When i created the PO, in the report it will show amount type as 0100 (Original)
        and when i created GR w.r.t the PO, system should show as follows.
        At the PO 2 lines should be shown,,
             1. with Amount Type 0100 &
             2. line with Amount type 0500 which is not happening
      in the place of amount type 0500 system showing 0200 (Reduction) which is wrong.
    will the above specified note, solve this issue also or is there any other note .
    Thanks.

    said that you should clone the collection only if the caller would not
    modify the elements.
    Or the EJB method can also clone the elements and return a new Vector.
    The gain is performance since cloning is usually faster than serializing
    for local clients but the down side of this is that remote clients will
    have an overhead as for them the result will be serialized anyway so
    there was a cloning done with no need for it.

    See, I am not sure what he really means in his message. By the way, Vector also
    implements the Clonable interface. But the elements of the Vector may not implement
    the Clonable interface. If you clone the Vector and return the cloned Vector
    to the caller. There is no guarantee that the changes he made in the Vector elements
    will get clone properly. So in that case, you aren't really seeing the true "call
    by reference" behavior.
    Basically, I don't understand what his question was. Sorry for the confusion.

    Not really true, if the Vector is serialized then it would have to
    serialize all of its elements and you'd get an exception that some
    elements were not serializable.
    The optimization that Sanjeev is seeing is a BEA optimization to allow
    calls by reference within the same enterprise application (parameter
    <enable-call-by-reference> in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml).
    By default the value is true so calls within the same EAR are just
    normal Java calls.
    If you set it to false then the parameters and return value of the EJB
    call will be serialized and the object that the EJB has will not be
    affected by any change that the caller does to it.
    Another way to get out of this situation is to clone the Vector (if that
    is acceptable since it would not clone the elements the Vector contains).

    I don't know if I understand your problem 100%, but it seems like you
    manipulated
    the elements in your vector, which is a class member variable in your
    stateful
    session bean, and passing the vector back as the return parameter to
    the caller
    via the remote interface. And you don't see the changes in the "elements"
    of
    the vector, is that correct?
    Well, remember all parameters and the return value of the remote calls
    are Serializable.
    In this case, Vector indeed is serializable. But the ELEMENTS inside
    the vector
    may not be serializable objects. In this case, the container will use
    the default
    serialization mechanism to serialize / deserialize the elements into
    the persistent
    store or through the RMI I/O stream, which is just using a bit-wise
    dump of your
    Vector and all its elements object references to the persistent store
    or RMI I/O
    stream.
    So the solution is to declare all the objects in your Vector elements
    to implement
    the java.io.Serializable interface. If all the Objects in your vector
    elements
    only contain primitive data types, you don't need to do anything extra.
    If some
    objects in your vector elements contain other object types that don't
    implement
    the java.io.Serialiazable interface, then you will need to write your
    own writeObject
    and readObject method to serialize /de-serialize those objects. You
    can look
    up many tutorial on Sun's website on how to do this. Hope it helps.

    we have one program where we calculate currency conversion rates e.g, BUD 2009,BUD 2010,ACT 2009,ACT 2010,LE1 2009 ....In my program they have code which calculates BUD CY(Budget current year rate),BUD PY(Budget previous year rate),
    ACT CY(Actual current year)....now they want me to add more codeso itcalculates ACT PY(Actual previous year rate)
    I am poor in ABAP coding..a functional guy...Can any one refer to code below and helpme how I can change code so it fits ACT PY(Actual previous year)...
    I gave parts of whole code where they wrote BUD CY AND BUD PY code..both are same with minor changes...May be you can have a look at them and change ACT CY code given below so it fits ACT PY ....Many Many Thanks.

  • How to modify the OIDDAS Create User page

    I am using Portal 902 and want users to register themselves to my Portal. I've have enabled Self-Registration but the pages need much cosmetic re-work for my purposes.
    I've discovered how to replace the default db generated SSO Login page with a customized JSP * AND * I wondering if I can do the same to the OIDDAS Create User page.
    I've noticed that the URL for the create user page is http://thebofer.my.domain:7777/oiddas/ui/oracle/ldap/das/admin/AppCreateUserInfoAdmin.
    This file (AppCreateUserInfoAdmin) is a UIX file and the only place I've found it is within "oiddas.ear" located at F:\oracle\ora9ias_portwire\ldap\das\oiddas.ear directory on my Portal host.
    Can I simply unpack the EAR and get the "AppCreateUserInfoAdmin,uix" file into JDev, modify it, then re-package it into the ear and then overwrite the existing ear with this new one? Is this acceptable?
    Also, I'm wondering about the location of the oiddas.ear file. Normally when I deploy to 9iAS the file usually ends up in the F:\oracle\ora9ias_portwire\j2ee\home\applications or the F:\oracle\ora9ias_portwire\Apache\Apache\htdocs. What is the proper deployment process when modifying OIDDAS UIX?
    Are my assumptions correct? Can someone point me in the right direction?Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

  • How to use pen tool to adjust audio levels

    Hi,
    I've been using the pen tool to adjust the audio levels in FCE. When I do, however, I get curved line segments (kind of like a parabola) between the audio keyframes. I'd like to get something easier to control... i.e. straight line segments. Is this possible? How would I accomplish this?
    Thank you!

    Add a couple more keyframes and adjust them so the line is straighter. You can drag the keyframes along the audio line & move them up & down to adjust the shape of the curve.
    The default shape is curved in order to align with what the human ear considers a 'normal' change in audio levels to be. Human aural sensitivity to changes in audio levels (aka loudness) is not linear - it is more or less logarithmic in shape. That's why the curve.
