  • Recommend me some in-ear earphones

I currently have the Apple in-ear earphones for iPhone 3G S. The problem that is well documented on these boards with Voice Control kicking in every 10-15 seconds when in the gym is driving me mad (something to do with moisture/sweat getting into them).
I'm therefore in the market for a decent set of in-ear (i.e. the ones you push right into your ear with the changeable rubber caps) earphones. Can someone recommend some?
    Cheers

Sennheiser CX300 - great headphones. They've got good quality sound but aren't so expensive (20-30 quid) that you'll mind wearing them at the gym.
Only issue is with running with them - tendency to get loud thuds every time your feet hit the ground - but this is an issue with all of the IEM type headphones.
I tend to use another pair of Sennheisers - the PMX 100 - which hook over the ears at the gym as they're better for running (although the ear pads do get saturated with sweat which is kind of nasty, but they are removable so I can at least clean them).

  • Sony MDR-EX71 In-Ear Earphones good

I saw in this forum queit alot using this Sony MDR-EX7 In-Ear Earphones
but also many mention it spoil easily....
I getting a new earpiece and plan to buy this mdr ex7 to attact to my zen mirco so need some users comments.
    thanks

I've been using mine since I had the Nomad Jukebox .
And I've been recommending it to everyone since the old fourm days.
So I don't think comments that it breaks easily are true.
I've coiled it round my all players and it still sounds as good.
It's been coiled round my JB, Nomad IIc, Muvo .5G and now my Zen Micro 5G.
So it's been quite a journey for for this little Sony and I will definitely get another Sony when this one finally gives up the ghost.

As you are in Australia you can source the headset you are looking for here: http://www.sony.com.au/product/mhex300ap
Unfortunately the accessories that come bundled will vary from location to location and as such we can’t guarantee what accessories you will get with your phone so it is always wise to check when in store.

  • In-ear earphones missing silicon piece

About two months ago, I purchased some Apple in-ear earphones for my iPhone 3GS. Now, one of the silicon pieces that go over the in-ear speakers has fallen off and gone missing. I don't want to replace the whole set of earphones. Is there somewhere I can buy just a silicon earpiece in the right size?

  • Hissing noise when using in-ear earphones

I decided to upgrade from the Apple standard earphones of the Shuffle to some noise isolating in-ear earphones. Since the top range stuff (Shure, Etymotic) didnt quite fit into my budget I bought a pair of Creative EP-630 ($30) since I read some decent reviews on Amazon.
Now the earphones do live up to my expectations and deliver some great sound but the combination with the Shuffle gives me quite a headache. Plugging the earphones into my computer or some other (low budget) mp3 players they sound awesome, there is no background noise whatsoever and between songs or when you hit 'Pause' there is silence as it is supposed to be.
When I plug them into my shuffle however, it is far from the 'chrystal clear sound' that I expected. First, when you turn on the Shuffle, you hear two high pitched feeps, when you turn it of, you get a short stakkato of feeps that reminds me of the dial in procedure of old computer modems for the anlogue telephone line.
The biggest problem is of course the noise during playback, there is a constant high pitched, hissing, feeping background noise which becomes especially obvious during quiet parts, between songs and even if you hit 'Pause'! The same thing is described at the following site for another pair of (high quality) in-ear earphones:
    http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/15118/163354.html
The author there describes it as a 'grasshopper' noise, which is very much to the point when you hear it.
This is quite a disturbing result, considering all the raving reviews that Shuffle got for audio quality:
    http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1777890,00.asp
Now I am wondering if there is a faulty batch of Shuffles out there of which I happen to own one, or is it possible that there is a general problem of the Shuffle working together with these kind of earphones? The Shuffle using other earphones sounds great and my new in-ear earphones using other players also sound great... just the combination delivers unbearable audio.
I would appreciate any feedback, especially if anybody from Apple happens to come across this post!

Sounds like unless I misunderstand that it's only a problem with non standard headphones. What others are you using?

  • Warranty Length for K7N2 Delta-ILSR

What is the mfg's warranty length on the K7N2 Delta-ILSR?
I filled out the online support form earlier today but no response as of yet, and me being the impatient rascal I am, I didn't want to wonder all weekend. I bought it October, 2003 and the floppy drive controller seems to have gone out.
    Thanks!
    HH

    Thank you, Glenn!
Looks like mine is 2 yrs. & 4 months old. Kind of stinks that I lost 5 months on the warranty by going by the mfg. date instead of date of purchase. Its not worth the hassle & would even cost more to RMA it for the controller. Ahh, but this is IT, the "World of Workarounds". I'll live!
    Thanks for your time, Glenn!

  • In-Ear Headphones Warranty Question

My non-Apple headphones are dead - a wire is probably loose at the connector (most common problem I have with headphones).
I'm probably going to purchase the Apple In-Ear headphones. Does it come with a one-year warranty?
If the cord or connector goes bad will I be able to get it replaced at an Apple Store while under warranty even if I purchase it at another authorized reseller - or, must I purchase it at an Apple Store to get it serviced/replaced there?

    Worth a try ..

  • In-Ear Headphones Warranty?

How do I get Apple to honor the warranty that came with my original in-ear headphones. I have bought 2 sets and both have stopped working. There is no online repair request form. When I call Apple support or the Apple store they keeps asking about my iPod and they don't understand that I'm calling about "headphones" I bought separately. It's like they don't even know Apple makes in-ear headphones. I have not been able to contact anyone through email as well.
Please help. Has anyone had their warranty honored?

I was wondering to same thing. I bought a pair and mine are falling appart. The apple site gives no information on how to contact them for that reason. Their service is horrible. It's exactly how you said, it doesn't seem like they even know they make them. I would also like some help from anyone who has any. Maybe I will just have to take mine to the store.
    Please help, thanks.

  • Manufacturer  Warranty Length?

I'm wondering if anyone knows how long the manufacturer warranty lasts? I dropped my phone down the toilet today and even after drying it in rice, the phone still will not turn on. I'm planning on taking it into the Verizon store but am curious as to what they will say. I did not get insurance on it, but the phone is not even a year old. I got it back in October of 2010. A few people have told me that the insurance does not cover water damage but the manufac. Warranty will, and a few people have told me vice a versa. If anyone can shed some light on this for me, I'd appreciate it! Also, It's a samsung intensity II just FYI.

So I got a new battery for the phone, hoping that this was the problem. The original battery, as of right now, when inserted, turns the phone on but it will not load up past the Verizon screen, the key pad lights up but that's it, it just stays on that screen. So I got the new one, upon inserting the new battery into the phone, it will not even turn on. So does this mean it's the phone that's damaged or the battery? Am trying to not take it into the actual store unless there's no chance of fixing it at home.
Assuming the new battery had some level of charge, it looks like your phone is the problem.  You can attempt to charge the battery using the phone to verify as there is nothing to lose.  If the phone charging system is ruined, you will need a new phone anyway.
Sorry for your problem, but the odds of recovery after drowning were slim to begin with.
    Good Luck.

  • Faulty k8n neo platinum? warranty length?

Ok i thought the reason why my pc kept blue screening and not being able to run at standard memory rates was cause of shitty kingmax memory so bought 2gb mushkin extreme performance ddr500 ram then i thought it was the power supply but i just installed a new tagan one that combines the rails to 33a.  Ive tried different graphix cards, os's, bios's so its down to either the motherboard or the cpu.
The blue screens are completely random if that helps
Ive tried everything i always thought that the reason why i could never get my ram working properly was because it wasnt good but now im convinced it has to be either the motherboard or cpu.
What is the warranty on these boards i purchased the motherboard in the uk from overclockers almost 2 yrs ago.

i know that the boards bought in the us have a 3 yr warranty dunno about the uk im hoping its the same.

  • In ear earphones for my ipod touch?

looking for anything under £30 which have a noice cancelling feature and volume control, don't need a mic with it as it would just be a waste

Any standard stereo headphones with the standard 3.5 mm plug will work in the iPod.
What is best is too subjective to answer.

  • Nokia Lumia 710 Earphone Jack - Constant Static/Wh...

    Hello everyone,
I have noticed, with a majority ofNokia devices that there is a static noise in the background when the sound card of the device is activated. I wish to seek a fix because I use in ear earphones and it gets really annoying having to put up with the noise when I use in ear earphones to block out noise. Is there an easy fix and/or explanation for this?
    Kind regards,
    Kenneth

No, not hardware. My Lumia 710 is working fine.
Try see if the audio port is clean. If it isn't, you can try clean it again (Not with a tissue or water).
If it still doesn't work well, try use your headphones on the other phone. If it doesn't work, you can bring it on Nokia Care to ask for a replacement (On warranty).
If I have helped you in any way, give me a kudos!
