In-ear headphone + iphone 4 + gym/workout volume dont works

I was at the gym listening music with my iphone 4 + in-ear headphones, and suddenly the remote control headphone only able to pause or go play in the songs.
I searched the forum and saw that there are cases with normal headphone (notin-ear).
I tested it with normal headphones and everything works normally.
Does anyone know what might have happened?

Hello there, Jensendjrj.

  • Are there any iPhone headsets that allow volume control?

The new Apple In-Ear headphones are shipping at last, and I am considering buying some. I am currently looking to upgrade to some high-quality headphones from my standard iPhone buds, but I would like to have a working microphone and remote like those Apple buds have for my convenience. Are there any such headsets with working volume controls as well? Does the iPhone's audio jack lack a connector for this additional piece of equipment, as some folks are suggesting? A lot of people have been saying that the remote and microphone portion of the new In-Ear headset will work with the iPhone, but the volume buttons do not. I've seen mixed reports, so I'd like to hear some more opinions on this matter.
If volume control is not possible, I will still look into upgrading. So far, I'm considering the In-Ear phones, the V-MODA Vibe Duo headset. Any other thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

I bought a set of the Vmoda Vibe with the microphone. They sound great !! the silicone seals are just your average seals. After a couple of months the seals would sometimes stay in my ear when I pulled the earpiece out. A couple of months ago i bought some foam seals that work absolutely great. They are available on the Vmoda website. Kinda pricey..$14 ish for three pair. they only come in gray and accumulate dirt faster than the silicone seals but, they stay in your ear. Last week, as i wrapped the cord, i noticed it was broken at the pin plug site where it's curved (bends). This ***** as now when talking on the phone with the earbuds everything echos. My audio and the other persons audio also. Of course Apple won't exchange them since I purchased them more than two weeks ago. (A year hasn't expired yet) I'm going to send them to Vmoda and see what happens. I purchased the new Itouch earbuds. they are Apple white. I wished they came in black but, they are AWESOME !! The sound is incredible. The silicone seals work great so far. They look to be shaped differently so now they stay in your ear..so far...I purchased them for my iphone. The microphone/hold button work fine with no echo on either side. They have a volume level control but it does not work on the iphone. Bummer...This feature would have made them the ultimate Iphone earbuds. The volume does work on my ipod. Go figure. Overall, the new Apple In-ear headsets are great, They must have a tweeter and woofer in there cuz the sound is fantastic and the silicone seals actually stay in place.

  • Recording with in-ear headphones

Does anyone know how to or have a manual on how to record with the apple in-ear headphones?

Hi there, do you have the in-ear headphones with the control module (volume +/-, play/pause/next song, and microphone)?
You also need the newest iPod nano.
I have the regular headphones with the control module and as soon as I plug them to the iPod nano the option Voice Memos shows up. If you click on Voice Memos, there are two options that show up on the list Start Recording and Recordings. If you click on Start Recording, it will obviously begin recording. The option Recordings gives you the saved recordings you've made.
Do you have any more questions? let me know. By the way, I think your post was mis-categorized. the iPod Hi-Fi does not have recording capabilities, as far as I know.

  • In ear headphones control not working

I bought some apple in ear headphones for £60 in July and they worked perfectly until one day last week when the remote stopped working completely. I've tried headphones across other apple products I own and the control just doesn't work. Other headphones in my phone do work so it must be a headphone issue.
Any help would be great as £60 headphones should last more than 7 months.

Headphones should last more than 7 months and they will be covered by a warranty. You seem to have identified the problem as being with the headphones so return them to Apple for a replacement. I am sure that they will exchange them for you.

  • $80 Apple in-ear headphones not working with iPhone 4

I spent $80 on a pair of in ear headphones and they do not work with iPhone 4. I can listen to music and talk but the volume controls are completely nonfunctional. So I used them on my friends 3GS and they work fine. How can Apple come out with a new phone that wont work with their own products? I used to love Apple until this F@#$ing iPhone 4 came out.

According to Apple, they should work with the 4... http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA850G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA1MA&mco=MTM3NTM0Mjg
Are they plugged in to your iPhone all the way?

  • Are Apples new in ear headphones compatible  with iPhones????

Hi, I was just wondering if Apples new In-Ear Headphones are compatible with the iPhone (1stGen)
    Thanks

    Take a look at this,
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3310
This should tell you what you want to know straight from Apple themselves.
From what I've read and understand there are 4 conductors on the jack plug as opposed to three on the normal iPhone headsets. It seems that the extra conductor is probably the one that controls the volume buttons + & -
So the volume fix may not ever be able to happen as it would seem it is hardware related. If it can be fixed with software upgrade that would be great but iphone users might have to live without the volume control if they want a set.

  • Did you know about iphone in ear headphone Two drivers in each earpiece ?

i just wanna prepare to buy a new iphone in ear headphone
Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic
      £65.00
is so expensive but some youtube user said it is prefect for sound quality so what is your opinion ?

No I have my own iPhone iPad and MacBook  so everything is set up on devices that are mine and as far as I know I never connected to anyone else's device and logged with my apple ID.  But are you saying it is possible for someone to have obtained my apple ID and send an iMessage from their device with my contact information so it looks like it came directly from me?  It's crazy I looked down at my iPhone and saw this message had just been sent that I did not type or send

  • I recently bought iPhone 4 bumper, but I also think of buying InCase Reflex On-Ear headphones. Will its jack fit through the bumper?

I bought the iPhone 4 Bumper about two days ago, and I tried it with every jack at home I could find. None of them fits through the hole, at least the curved ones. I think of buying an Incase Reflex On-Ear Headphone, but I doubt if the jack will fit. If there are any users, can anyone give some tips?

It is not worth the time and money that will be involved repairing it piece by piece, other parts are going to start to fail due to the water incursion. Water and electricity do not mix and it needs to be completely dry prior to trying to apply power to it.
Do an out-of-warranty replacement instead at your closest Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment before you go) for $149 USD.

  • In-Ear Headphones distorted sound

    Hi,
Yesterday, 21 days past my one-year warranty, the right in-ear phone now produces distorted sound when the volume is raised.
I have replaced the mesh cap as recommended, but to no avail.
It only the right speaker and is directly related to higher volume.
    Has anyone experienced this?
If so, what was your solution?
    tia,
    Bob

    hi,
if you own an iPhone 3GS and is covered by Apple Care or limited warranty your in-ear headphones get warranty too
you can even apply for DIY.

  • Quality of in-ear headphones

    Hello,
I just got a pair of Sennheiser MM 50 headphones for my iphone and I'm a bit confused about its sound quality. These are my first pair of in-ear headphones so maybe I'm just not used to them, but when I compare them to the regular apple headphones they sound as if the treble is cranked up and the bass is barely detectable. The apple headset sounds much more deeper and full. Messing with the EQ doesn't seem to help either.
Is it just me? Am I just not used to the sound or is something wrong here?
    Thanks for your input!

Have you followed the instructions for placing them into your ears. The in-ear headphones generally have much better bass than standard ear buds but you have to use the correct size cap to get the best seal in your ears.
I find it easier to pull your ear back a little when you push them into your ear. This helps you to get them in before your ear canal closes round them to seal in the sound.
I'm currently using the new in-ear headphones with mic from Apple. These are intended for the new iPod Touch but work great with the iPhone with the exception of volume controls, and they sound great!

  • New Apple In-Ear Headphones

Okay, I had a few questions to ask before I go out and by these so I don't waste my money.
    1. Are the new In-Ear headphones compatible with the Original iPhone?
    2. Are they sold at Best Buy?
If anyone could help me that would be great

    Hello Covenant,
First, the Apple In-Ear Headphones will work with the iPhone except for the volume control function. This thread and link provide some information on them:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1792212
    http://www.apple.com/ipod/inearheadphones/
Whether Best Buy carries them or not, I can't answer. They are not listed on their online store, but you can always contact your local brick-and-mortar Best Buy and see if they have them in stock.
