In ear headset

Is the PFE 122 in ear headset full compatible with 4s? Do anybody know something about?

It's compatible with the iPhone, so it would work with the 4S as a stereo headset without the in-line volume controls.

This is not the appropriate forum for this.  You need to go to a product review website.  Once you've chosen a headset, if you have problems using it with your phone then please don't hesitate to write back.

  • Bose Mobile on ear headset not compatible with 3GS-hear no send

Just a heads up: have Bose Mobile on ear headset with in line microphone.
Was compatible with Apple 3G but not new 3GS. Probably a simple fix.
Sound in fine; just cuts out all the time or totally no transmit. Had Bose call me several times and same with other calls. At best very hard to hear reported on other end to no audio at all. Hope Bose/Apple can fix near future.

any news on developments here? Have just received my Bose on ear headset and get sound ok but receivers get choppy sound from me...really cannot use...have a 3GS 32GB

My apple ipod shuffle's ear headset has lost..And My ipod is in warranty period..So Can I get a new one for free or i should bye ?

Frankly just about any headset with the proper size connection will likely work.  We like ear buds with soft coverings so even when we get a hard headset with a player we swap them out.  While Apple might just possibly give you a set for free since they are not an expensive item, loss is not covered by warranty.  If you're a long drive from an Apple Store it might cost you more in fuel and vehicle wear and tear than going to a local store and buying a comfortable replacement.

  • Image S4i In-Ear Headset and iPhone 4 upgrade

I have the 3GS and am probably going to preorder the 4G tomorrow. I have the S4i In-Ear Headset- http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/image-s4i-overview/ -which are excellent for functionality and sound quality with the iPhone. Does anyone have any idea if these earphones will work with the new iPhone?
    Thanks

Yes, I know you will be able to plug it in and hear the sound but what I'm asking is if the functionality will be there. The volume control, next song, last song, voice control, etc.

  • Bose Mobile On-Ear "Headset" & SoundDock Portable

I just ordered the following BOSE items and wanted to know if anyone has them and how they are working for you. I read ALL of the online reviews and except for the natural BOSE price, they did very well in the ratings.
Here is the link for the new Bose SoundDock® Portable digital music system:

Would like to add the following question:
Q1: Are there any QC2 or QC3 users that have purchased the headset kit (Provides cable and inline Mic), so they can coonect to the iPhone and than have a functional QC & iPhone headset?
What have your experiences been with the above?
    Thanks!

  • Recommedation for on the ear headset for iphone 3

I don't find any of the in ear sets to be very comfortable for any length of time so am looking for a "on ear" style (a padded styles) headset that is comfortable but not too bulky. I would prefer the mic be the wand style as I use my phone frequently while walking the dog or riding my bike and the in-line mics pic up too much other noise. The headset brands and styles vary so much I'm not even sure where to start.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • New In-Ear Headset...For IPhone?

I was really excited to hear about the new in-ear earphones from Apple, until I saw they're incompatable with the IPhones. I'm hoping this is incorrect and that one will be available for the IPhones. What's the deal?

They are not compatible with the iPhone.
    What's the deal?
Apple decided they wanted it that way. We are just users here...
You can submit feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Non Ear Bud Headset with Controls

I can't stand ear-buds, but I love the inline controls that come with the iPhone ear buds. I see lots of on-ear and over-ear headsets with volume control, but nothing with the advance/reverse buttons. Does Apple (or anyone) make non ear bud headsets with the full inline controls? And if not, why don't they? Lot's of people don't want to ruin their hearing completely, or find ear buds very uncomfortable, or have hearing aids, etc.

  • Changing the output sound device when a headset is plugged in?

I wanted to replace my clunky old Logitech USB headset with a bluetooth one and then noticed - hey! - there is a headset jack. So I tested a Skype call with an extra iPhone headset I had lying around and it worked great.
The only problem is there doesn't seem to be a way to switch to the internal speaker of the MBP when not using the headset, which is most of the time, unless I physically unplug the headset. The Option+click volume feature also won't recognize the internal speakers unless I unplug the headset.
It's a minor nuisance, but there is the extra wear and tear. And it's sort of a nuisance to have to quickly plug the headset in if a call comes in. So I was wondering if there was some recommended tool for doing this kind of quick switching when the headset is plugged in all the time.
    Thanks,
    Doug

The only thing I don't like about the iPhone headset solution is that the earplugs are uncomfortable, and keep falling out. I basically don't like things stuck in my ear. So I am thinking of buying an actual over-the-ears headset to plug in to the headset port.
    A couple of questions:
    - Is there any reason at all to go USB headset instead? It seems like a waste of a USB port since there is a headset jack.
    - Is there any way of switching the output sound back to the speakers while the headset is plugged in? Or do I have to physically unplug it each time it is not in use for a Skype call (which is the only time I would use it)?
    Thanks,
    doug

  • Are there any iPhone headsets that allow volume control?

The new Apple In-Ear headphones are shipping at last, and I am considering buying some. I am currently looking to upgrade to some high-quality headphones from my standard iPhone buds, but I would like to have a working microphone and remote like those Apple buds have for my convenience. Are there any such headsets with working volume controls as well? Does the iPhone's audio jack lack a connector for this additional piece of equipment, as some folks are suggesting? A lot of people have been saying that the remote and microphone portion of the new In-Ear headset will work with the iPhone, but the volume buttons do not. I've seen mixed reports, so I'd like to hear some more opinions on this matter.
If volume control is not possible, I will still look into upgrading. So far, I'm considering the In-Ear phones, the V-MODA Vibe Duo headset. Any other thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    -MacUser

I bought a set of the Vmoda Vibe with the microphone. They sound great !! the silicone seals are just your average seals. After a couple of months the seals would sometimes stay in my ear when I pulled the earpiece out. A couple of months ago i bought some foam seals that work absolutely great. They are available on the Vmoda website. Kinda pricey..$14 ish for three pair. they only come in gray and accumulate dirt faster than the silicone seals but, they stay in your ear. Last week, as i wrapped the cord, i noticed it was broken at the pin plug site where it's curved (bends). This ***** as now when talking on the phone with the earbuds everything echos. My audio and the other persons audio also. Of course Apple won't exchange them since I purchased them more than two weeks ago. (A year hasn't expired yet) I'm going to send them to Vmoda and see what happens. I purchased the new Itouch earbuds. they are Apple white. I wished they came in black but, they are AWESOME !! The sound is incredible. The silicone seals work great so far. They look to be shaped differently so now they stay in your ear..so far...I purchased them for my iphone. The microphone/hold button work fine with no echo on either side. They have a volume level control but it does not work on the iphone. Bummer...This feature would have made them the ultimate Iphone earbuds. The volume does work on my ipod. Go figure. Overall, the new Apple In-ear headsets are great, They must have a tweeter and woofer in there cuz the sound is fantastic and the silicone seals actually stay in place.

  • Can I use a headset with its own mic with my iPhone?

I know we can't use brand names with AD but I do want to know if a headset will preempt the mic on the iPhone. It seems to defeat the whole purpose of hands free driving when i have to cradle the iphone in my lap or actually hold it while talking. I also have had decreased hearing over the years (sigh) and I much prefer a wired headset that allows me to hear from both ears. People are always telling me I'm talking in a hall when I set the iphone on my lap or on the seat next to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Of course you can.
My wife and I use Ultimate ears headsets with built in mics all the time.
