In Firefox 4, I open an audio player (CBC Radio2), minimize it and then close the browser screen while listening. Later, when I reopen the browser, it goes to the last screen viewed instead of to the Home Page I set in "Options."

Firefox 3 did not do this. It started right after I downloaded Firefox 4. The problem does not seem to occur when the audio player is not running. (I use Windows XP)

You can check in the Windows Task Manager (Processes tab) if the Firefox program and the plugin-container process are closed properly and make sure that there aren't any hanging processes.

I'm having the exact same problem. I upgraded to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and ever since I did the store is a blank white screen. I can get my library content but the store is a no go. Is there any one out there with a solution?

Since yesterday morning about 11:00 I have been having TERRIBLE email problems on this iPad 3G. Email comes in (I hear the sound) but nothing displays -- no folders, no content, no nothing in e-mail. The blank email screen shows up and then disappears after about 10 seconds, taking me back to the Home Screen.
Right now, the only way I can see email on this device is to log onto AOL via the AOL app.
I have been doing a lot of online reading about the problem. It has to do with iOS 8.1.3 and it affects older iPads and iPhones. I'm having no problems on my iPod touch, which -- fortunately -- is so old it cannot update its iOS 6.
I waited to update the iOS on this iPad until iOS 8 was "mature." That was about 2 weeks ago.

When I set my home page and restart Firefox, it reverts to iMesh, an inadequate search engine. How do I get it to retain the home page I set? I said yes when it asked.

I have installed Version 7.0.1. on my Laptop and Desktop, but the home pages are different

I was invited to update my laptop version of Firefox to version 7.0.1. I did this and was quite impressed by the new home page format with a single button to address the Menu Bar, Bookmark etc. I decided to update my Desktop Computer to the same version by downloading the latest update, but when it was installed, the Home page format was not change to the new format. I decided to use the same installation file I had used on the Laptop, but the format was not changed. So I am puzzled as to why there are two different format results using the same installation file. Does anybody know of a way of ensuring the new format can be invoked on my desktop?

On my Laptop, to access the Menu bar, there is a Red button in the top left hand corner of the Home page and clicking this button revels all the Menu Bar functions, On the Desktop machine, installed with the same installation file, the Red button is not available but the old Menu bar is. I would prefer the button and less cluttered home page, which the Laptop What's New page proclaims is the new format. How do I make the new proclaimed Format the default on my desktop and why the difference from the same installation file. I have attempted to use your upload images facility, but I have received an error message each time I try to upload an rtf file which includes an image of each each of the Home pages!

I have a splash page that plays a .swf. At the end of the
video the home.html page is opened. As/after the home page launches
I want to play a Flash video and then have the player close.
I am willing to trade wife, children or beagles for the info.

Are these two separate browser windows? One for the Flash
.swf and a different window for the home.html document? Is this
correct:
1. show .swf in one window,
2. open new, second, window with home.html
3. show second .swf in first window
4. close first window when second .swf finishes
If this is the scenario, then no, you can't reliably close
the first window. You can use Javascript to close a browser window,
but, if that window wasn't opened using Javascript, then it may not
close gracefully, or in the case of IE, may display a prominent
error message.

Flash player/Javascript works one minute and then not the next, how can I stop this?

Flash player seems to be very inconsistent for me. Generally whenever I logon to the internet it is fine, then after a while it just seems to not work. I then end up having to restart. I have the latest update of Flash player (11.4.402.265) and use Internet Explorer 9, I do have Google Chrome also but I rarely use that. The same thing happens with my Javascript too and again I have the latest update (version 7 update 6).
Also, one problem which now happens ALL THE TIME is I logon to certain websites and the background screen loads up but nothing else does. Sometimes an advert loads but literally nothing else on the page does. I can only think this is related to the Flash & Java problems because the worked fine a few weeks ago and now it started up again.
Any idea on how to help me with these problems, it is getting very frustrating

This is just an example. It is www.redimps.com, it is a football club website. I try to get onto this site and just the background image loads. If you try logging onto the home page yourself, you'll notice this is the background image and everything else isn't there. This applies for a fair few websites.
It is hard to explain but hopefully this helps

HOW DO I GET OUT OF FULL SCREEN MODE AND BACK TO THE HOME PAGE?

I was at a website and expanded the view to full screen mode. i pressed ESCAPE but it would not return the screen to smaller size. I had to press CONTROL+ALT+DELETE end the session. Now, when I restart Firefox it wants to restore the session. I have no status bar at the top and returning to home page. I hope this information helps.

I want to let you know to be patient as this troubleshooting can take some time depending on many different. First try putting your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. To do that, you can that by making sure that your iPhone is turned off, hold the Home button down while it is plugged into iTunes. You should get the graphic on your iPhone to plug it into iTunes and iTunes should prompt you to restore it. Once that is done and if you have a back up in iTunes or in iCloud, then you can put that back on after the restore is complete. Take a look at the article below for more information to help you.

If you double-click your Home button from the Home screen, a row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen. Press and hold on one of them until they start to wiggle. A red minus sign will appear on each. Touch the red minus sign of each to remove them all from the list. That also stops an App from working, if it is one that runs in the background.
See if that helps. If not, try resetting (rebooting) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

Open tabs used to open upon restart or coming out from 'hibernate'. Now, just the home page opens and others were forgotten. How to fix this?

I don't recall changing anything that would have caused this to happen suddenly. It is frustrating to me because I open a lot of tabs and sometimes can't finish reading or ordering or studying what I need, so I like to leave them open until I can get to them. This is especially disconcerting when, for example, an open tab is lost that contained a half-completed order form that took hours of decision making and note taking to decide what to order. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Thank you very much for your help. I was confused because I already had the 'Show my windows and tabs from last time' selected but it had no effect. I found that hundreds of people were complaining about how stupid this change was that inconvenienced so many...they seemed to be able to work out a fix, and maybe their complaints were heard because when I just now upgraded to Firefox 9 the problem doesn't happen...BUT - I still have the problem upon starting FF after logging off my computer. If I EXIT and restart FF, the tabs I was using do show again. If I lof off and restart FF, tabs are NOT saved. Can you help? I can't stay logged on to my computer but NEED to save my tabs. Thanks!!

My iPod touch has stopped working in selective areas. The camera turns on, I can see the image but the buttons don't work. The camera then closes.
When I try to access photos, I get a blank page which then closes. The same is true when I try to access mail. Facebook and my music works fine though. Ideas?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
