In Germany, wanting to buy from US store
I have an iTunes music store account for the Germany store. I want to buy some nike+ mixes/training albums in english (not available in the German store).
Is this possible?
So, if I have no US-based credit card then I cannot buy a lot of what is offered on the US store because the Germany store is limited. When it comes to the Nike+ training albums, there's 13 in the 8 in the UK store,

I can buy stuff from Amazon (US) -as well as many other webstores- and have it shipped wherever I want, but I can't download the same albums through iTunes anywhere in the world?

You would have to be physically located in the U.S in order to use the U.S iTunes store.

Want to buy from another itunes store
I have an account with the itunes store in Denmark but want to buy some music from the store in the UK (which isn't available yet in DK). This doesn't seem possible - I keep getting directed back to the Danish store - WHY??? (I am fairly new to all this as you can probably tell).
Apple are currently under investigation in Europe over not allowing UK customers to buy from for example the French store which as Zevoneer says is due to the dictates of the Record Industry. However such a policy flies in the face of European rules on free movement of goods within the EU (which is why there is an investigation).

So while Sorers in Denmark (in Europe) might want to buy from the UK store (also in Europe) due to the bigger selection of tracks, despite the fact that the UK store has the second highest iTMS prices in the world, we in the UK would like to buy from the Denmark (or France, or Ireland, etc.) which have the second cheapest iTMS prices in the world.

Transfer the app into iTunes on your computer and then sync the app to the iPad. If you have never synced with iTunes before, it will be a little more complicated that that, but you can still do it if you follow the instructions in the user tip below.
If you are already syncing with iTune, it will be very simple and easy to do.

AFAIK, no officially unlocked iPhones are available in any Apple stores in the US. You can call & ask, but I suspect you'll find they are only available through Apple's online store(requires a verified billing/shipping address in the US).

Sorry but no. Gift cards are regionalized. You cannot use a US gift cards outside of the US.

You can ONLY use the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by the billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while you are physically located inside the borders of that country.
You would have to live in the U.S and physically be located in the U.S in order ot use the U.S tunes store. The same is true for each countrys itunes store. -

Walk it into the nearest Apple Store there in Ireland, admit you purposely avoided buying it there, and ask them to help you sort it out. I'm sure they'll be happy to service your overseas purchase.....

Backup with iTunes. If iTunes is asking you if you want to backup, say yes to that and it will backup your iPad. Have you ever synced with this computer before?
My boilerplate response for anyone that wants to update the iOS.
What you should do anytime that you update the device is to transfer purchases from the iPad into iTunes - File>Transfer Purchases - and you should backup the iPad as well. When you update the update the device, if something goes wrong, you can restore from the backup.
However, iTunes should ask if you want to backup before you update, but just in case create the backup yourself before you update. The backup contains your app data and settings - along with other items - so make sure you backup first.
If you have any other important files, you may want to transfer them to your computer as well, prior to the update.
