In house prod. time for continuous manufacturing

Hello friends,
I want to enter in house production time in matarial master for continuous manufacturing process.I am using Base Unit Of Measure "Quintal".It is not possible to calculate In house production time. So how can I define it?
Thanks!!

Hi,
In-house production time is lot size independent it use to schedule the order with basic date only, but when we do the lead time scheduling or create production order then system take the values from routing as it is lot size dependent.
It is not possible to calculate In house production time?
So pls maintain the approx time in material master then schedule the routing ca02extrascheduling--schedule after that click on scheduling result and update material master.
Then go to CA96 and update the result in to material master and check the time in material master--work scheduling view.
Hope it will clear your doubt.

  • Process Order For continuous manufacturing

    Hello friends;
I am implementing SAP in a process industry where manufacturing  is a continuous process without any batch. We dont have any intermediate product.Raw material is continuously provided without any break . Production stops when all raw material finsh i.e. after 6 to 7 months.Raw material  passes through different phases and  we get finished product. It is not possible to trace the material.Phase has specific process prameters.Parameters changes
acc.to quality of raw material.we have to maitain all parameters constant by adding chemical or supplying heat.
I am going to create single process order for whole production. So, how can map these process parameters? Is it useful to create one PI sheet for whole production period? All process parameters have to maintain constant through out production, then what is the use of PI sheet?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks!!!!

    Hi,
You have only one stage process wright, so is there any GMP (good manufacturing practices or ISO ) if you are maintaining this quality management systems , differently you need to maintain a batch management, so that it is easy to traceable the material.
your process there is  a different Phases better to go PI sheets it will be helpful only at Yelids and Inprocess controls.
If you share the more inforamtion on the process so we can able to give some more suggestions.
    Thanks and regards

  • Lead Time for manufacturing and its corresponding Quantity in Material Mast

    Hi all ,
Do we have any feilds in SAP Material Master
    which are useful for
    1) Lead Time for manufacturing
    2) Manfactured Lead Time Quantity
if the mateials are produced inhouse.
    thanks
    ksr

    Dear,
There are no such a fields in material master, But in MRP 3 view you will get theotal replenishment lead time field.
Which use for the produced in-house if the replenishment lead time is included in the availability check:
This is nothing but the  in-house production time and, if available, the goods receipt processing time.
Also refer this link to calculate the in-house production time correctly,

  • Total Manufacturing time for assembly

    Hi,
Is there any report through which we can know Total manufacturing time for one assembly.
i.e. Multilevel explosion of BOM through which we can know time required for manufacturing assembly (By Routing.
    Lalit Phegade

    Hi,
By scheduling routings, you can get lead times.
    Scheduling in Routing (CA02 ) as :
Call up the operation overview for the routing.
    Choose Extras-- Scheduling -- Schedule.
You reach the Scheduling dialog box.
Maintain the data on the dialog box. The system proposes Backward scheduling for the scheduling type.
    Choose Continue.
You reach the Enter overview variant dialog box.
Enter the overview variant you want to use to display the scheduling results. Choose Continue.
The routing is scheduled. You reach the Schedule Overview screen containing the scheduling data.
After the scheduling run has been carried out, click on scheduling Result.
    Or try with these report,
    MCPS Operation analysis: Lead time
MCPU Production Order Analysis: Lead Time
    MCPW Material analysis: Lead time
MCPY Work center analysis: Lead time

  • Time Series Graph Show Inappropriate Data for Continuous Analysis

    Hi All,
I have marked Month as the Chronological Key in my BMM Layer but still I am unable to view the data correctly in my Time Series graph because it shows Inappropriate Data for Continuous Analysis at the time of creating the Graph. Can anybody help me out with the same.
    Thanks

What data type is your key? The chronological key is required for the time series formulas (ago etc.).
The time series chart requires a date or datetime data type to work - perhaps a new column with the first of the month/period would help? Regards,

  • Lead Time for Purchasing Material & Manufacturing Material

The query is related to the process of Material Requisition planning.
I need to know from where exactly the system picks up the lead time for generating Purchase requistions?
    - For purchased material (lead time from placing order to actual recipt of material, time needed for QC checking till its release)
    - For own manufactured material (lead time at each work center in the recipe along with actual time required for a particular process)

    Hi
for your information for  any material the data for the lead time comes from the material master
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/fd/45b7ee9d6411d189b60000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
if you click on the link you can get the entire process.
as you can see SAP picks up the deatil from the MRP2 view of the material master.
    hope this  is helpful.

Heat up the bottom rubber mat with a hairdryer for 5-10 minutes to loosen the adhesive, then pull the rubber mat away from the bottom metal plate carefully.
Then use a screwdriver to remove the 10-12 screws to open up the case.

  • Continued Drop-outs--time for re-install?

I previously posted about a problem with drop-outs while running 10 or so tracks of EXS24 instruments (it's a dual-core intel machine, 2 gigs ram running snow leopard)...I was advised to check out several links to articles on the apple website & the one thing that helped somewhat is removing Audio-Unit Plug-in components (located in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components)...
...things have improved, however, I'm still getting some dropouts...looking at the meters, it seems to me that some of the softsynths are overloading one of the cpu cores...I think something is funky with my EXS24's.
...the question now is: Is IT TIME FOR A RE-INSTALL of LOGIC?
Do I re-install all of Logic? Just the main program & soft-synths...what is the best way to do a re-install?

No ,re-installing Logic won't help ,your problem it's not application related...unless you deleted something from the applications directory...which is not what happens here
For some reason your system can't handle what you are trying to do...
maybe add more RAM if your MBP can take it and make sure that your HD is not full as Eriksimon suggested in your previous post.

  • How Program RCPMAU03 or FM CX_IN_HOUSE_PRODUCTION_TIME calculates Prod time

    Hi All,
FM CX_IN_HOUSE_PRODUCTION_TIME is used in Program RCPMAU03 which is used for Material Master Update from transaction CA47 or CA47N. I want to know how this FM calculates Processing(BEARZ) and InterOperation(MARC-TRANZ) time.

  • Buyer Beware - Horrible Production/ Shipping Time for Lenovo ThinkPad

I ordered my Lenovo ThinkPad T530 on January 27th, with the quoted estimated shipping time to be 02/08. I get an e-mail on 02/05 saying that my order would be delayed and shipped out within 30 days of this notification. This pushed my shipment date to 02/28 with expected arrival time for 03/04.
    Here's my timeline:
    01/27/13 - Placed order
02/05/13 - DELAYED NOTIFICATION, expected shipment to be delivered within "30 days of this notice"
02/08/13 - DELAYED NOTIFICATION, expected to be shipped on 02/28/13 arrival on 03/04/13
03/04/13 (12:50PM) - Checked my order status and it said that my shipment won't be shipped until 03/13/13 arrival on 03/20/13. Sent an e-mail to Lenovo. e-mail included.
03/04/13 (03:57PM) - DELAYED NOTIFICATION, expected to be shipped on 03/13/13 arrival on 03/20/13
    03/04/13 (04:23PM) - Received e-mail from Lenovo representative Shadiqulla *** - e-mail included.
So my order has been delayed THREE TIMES. When was my laptop suppose to be shipped? 02/04/13
As of 03/04/13, they told me my order has been DELAYED AGAIN. So forgive me if I don't take your generic copy and paste apology as a sign that you guys are actually doing something that actually helps the people who buy your product.
I would love a refund, but at this point, what can I say, I'm an optimist, and I'm pretty *** patient, so I'll wait until the 13th, but I just wanted to warn the rest of you.
This is ridiculous and highly inconvenient. I've waited over 36 DAYS for this product and it's still not even in production. You obviously don't care for your customers. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company and I hope everyone else is more cautious about purchasing anything from them. Because if this is the example of their customer service now, imagine what it's like when you have the computer down the line.
I'm forwarding my experience to the BBB and I'll keep things updated.
    -Christy
    E-mail to Lenovo:
    To whom it may concern,
I ordered my laptop on 01/27 and not only has it been delayed TWICE, but I wasn't even notified when the THIRD delay occurred. If you truly "value" your customers, then you wouldn't continue to test their patience by giving a horrible estimate time of the shipment date, when you're short on parts. That way, I would have time to secure a different laptop from a different manufacturer. I had high hopes for Lenovo through personal recommendations, but no matter how good the product, the *** customer service can only go so far. Your company makes me feel like a dog.
The order tracker provides practically provides ZERO tracking, because during the past month, nothing has been placed or updated except for how my laptop is continually delayed. This is ridiculous!
For the sake of keeping my anger in check:
What is the ACTUAL status of my order? Has it even been BUILT? It was suppose to arrive 2/4, then delayed shipping to 2/28 with 3/04 arrival, now delayed again to 3/13 arrival on 03/20.
Give actual updates, what's the point of having an order status page - have something actually useful and reliable.
Change the estimated shipping time for the other ThinkPads on your site. My same model and custom built is suppose to be shipped at the same time that someone else places an order for today - that's just ridiculous!
I've been extremely patient when you said it would arrive a month after the quoted shipping time. Thank-you for providing me with the *** experience I've ever had with a company. I was suppose to have it shipped by 03/05 at the latest, and you just tried to sneak the last delay past me. Actually deliver on your word and deliver your product! This is beyond ludicrous I'm suppose to have my laptop already!
    Sincerely,

I ordered my ultrabook  from Levono because we use (hundreds) of them in our organization and I wanted one for home to also do work related business on. When I ordered it, I was told by the salesperson that I would recieve it soon because I live a few miles from the US headquarters and not far from the NC warehouse. I then got an Email that contradicted what I was told;  my machine would be delivered 6 weeks later; shipped from China.  I ordered this unit because I am aware of Levono's reputation for quality and impressed by how soon they became big player in the USA laptop market.  Ir Levono wants to stay competative; they absolutely have to deliver, and deliver sooner. In today's world, people and businesses depend on laptops, and when they need them, need them right away. I would be happy to get this sooner, and much more likely to advertise Levono, and buy from them again, if I did.
