In iCal 8.0, how do I change a single event of a recurring event?

I am using Yosemite. I have a recurring monthly event for Payroll on the 25th. But, when the 25th falls on a weekend, I change it to the previous Friday.
To make this change, I drag the recurring event to that Friday. A popup says it will change all recurring events to that date.
How do I just change a single event and leave the future recurring events as is?

Without seeing your page, this seems less like a template problem and more of a design strategy problem.
You should be building flexible pages that can handle increased content, text-sizes, image sizes, etc...
CSS height property is a restriction in all but IE browsers. Either remove height property from your content areas or consider using a more flexible min-height.

Just spent too much time trying to figure this out, but how can I change events colors in my calendar?
I'm not talking about the color of a calendar, this affects all events, but event per event.
And I don't want to set multiple calendars.
One calendar, different events with different colors...

The Calendar Sdk doesn't allow you to change the ownership of an event. (ORGANIZER value).

How can I change dates / direct debit days on recurring orders?

Hi All,
I have the requirement to change 2 aspects of a recurring order/product.
The first is to change the point in time which a credit card is charged. I have read posts/documentation that references the Direct Debit Days parameter as the way to change when the credit card transaction takes place.   These talk only about have the card charged after the invoice date.   My question is does that field accept and operate on a negative value.    I want to have the credit card charge occur a few days prior to the invoice date.
The second requirement has to do with date manipulation of the recurring time frame.   I know the cycle controls the creation of the next invoice, however, I need the cycle to be a specific number of days. So rather than monthly, I need to create an invoice every 20 days. Is there a way to do this within the system or will the date need to be manipulated through the API? If so, is the next invoice date the correct and only date needing to change?

Unfortunately, I received no replies to my post regarding how to accomplish both changing the day on which recurring starts and then also changing the period length for the recurring transaction.   Necessity being the mother of invention took me to working with the BC API directly to develop a solution.   After quite a bit of trial and error, we were able to create a service that can run on a given cycle (nightly or hourly) using API calls we are able to manipulate the dates so that the ADOBE cron jobs that create upcoming transactions react properly to the requirements needed.
An example is probably the best way to showcase what we wanted to do.   An initial order is made up several products some recurring some not. The recurring elements create a new "next" invoice at the selected recurring cycle (monthly). So if the initial order was on June 15, the next invoice is July15. We needed to back that next invoice date up by 5 days. Additionally, we needed the then ensuing cycle to be 30 days always.   We accomplished this through a service and the BC API.

About iCal - is there a way to changes the fonts in iCal, or to modify the fonts in a single event?

Is there a way to modify the fonts in iCal. I would particularly like to enlarge specific events to make them more noticeable and to even make some of them a bold font to further call attention to them while using iCal. Any help?

Unfortunately there are no user options for using other than the default font in iCal. The only font option available in iCal is the "Make Text Bigger/Smaller" View option, but only if you are using the Lion version of iCal.
I suggest that you provide iCal Feedback.

ICal on iPad - how do I change the time the day starts?

On the iPad iCal, the day starts at 12am, and there's a scrollbar for scrolling through the 24 hours of the day. I pretty much won't have any events before 8am, so I want to customize my calendar so that the day starts at 8, and I can see a lot more of the day instead of having to scroll alllll the way down to 8am. The way it is right now, if I go into week or day view, it'll start up at 12am and I'll have to scroll down to view most of my events.

In Illustrator CS5, how do I change a single color in a rasterized image?

In Illustrator CS5, I have a rasterized image arranged in front of a blue rectangle on a page that is otherwise blank (screenshot below). The rasterized image has exactly 4 colors. I want to change the light grey color to green. How can I do so?
(Among other things, I have tried to copy-and-paste and export the full page and the rasterized image into Photoshop CS5, but every method that I have tried appears to resample the rasterized image, changing the pixelation and creating many more colors, effects that I do not want.)

Illy is very helpful, but she is no more able to deal with single pixels in a raster image than the rest of us.
Is it really impossible to export the image (as PNG24) and open it in Photoshop, then recolour the grey pixels there?

I agree, I can post a calendar from Outlook 2007 to my corporate iCal Server marking items as private and thus anyone subscribing to my calendar won't see what the appointment is - only that I have something in my schedule. How do I change a single page in a template site without detaching it?

I'm using a template for the first time. Please help. The template has an editable content area that is a certain size. At the bottom of the page (below this editable content area) is a footer that is part of the template and is thus non-editable on all pages except for the main template page.
Here is the problem: I want to put a taller image on one page (the image will go in the editable content area) but it is taller than the content area I had set aside in the template. Once I place it there, the footer (which is fixed in the template) is across the lower part of the image.
I don't want to detach the page from the template unless I have to because I want updates to be site-wide. How do I enlarge the content area on that one page so that it will not affect the content area on the other pages and will still, on that one page, move the footer down so it won't be across the image?

How do I split a single event with many clips into multiples events, one event per date?

I archived the video from my AVCHD camera into a Final Cut video archive. Later I imported this into iMovie. All the clips from this archive (spanning several months) are dumped into a single event. If I recall, older versions of iMovie would import video into separate events for each day. Then I would go through and give each event a meaningful name (e.g., "Mary's Birthday").
This is what I would like. Is there a way to split this very long event into multiple events, one for each day that is present in the event?

Not automatically but with imovie 10 you can create new events with any name you like then move clips into them from other events (Just like FCP 10.1). See:

As Apple has yet to upgrade iCalendar so I can check off my events as I complete them (no, I do not want to use a task list/reminder list), I want to be able to move my events to my "completed" events calendar as I complete them. The issue is that most of my events are repeating events, and it changes the entire series. How do I change only the event I clicked on using my iPhone?

If you change anything in a repeating calendar entry it will give you the option of disconnecting it from the series. So may any random change, choose to not change the series.

Cannot delete or change a repeating event in iCal

Um, color tagging events has always been a feature of iCal. Go into iCal. In the upper left-hand corner it says "Calendars." Go under "File" and create a new Calendar--iCal will give it a color, but you can change that.
