In IE website submenus scroll/drop down in Firefox submenu does not scroll down

In Firefox when I click on a website sub-menu such as credit card info, date, or choose from list no drop down of choices occurs I do not have this problem in IE ..... for example below this box is a question "This happened" with an open box and arrow which presumably gives choices to indicate .....when I click on the arrow nothing happens no text or choices open However I can scroll down through the installed plug in lsit below

The old Firefox Sync extension for older Firefox versions was discontinued by Mozilla over a year ago. Update Firefox.

Where are you publishing to? Can you publish successfully to a folder on your hard drive? Have you read this webpage: Publish iWeb site using FTP. It may have a clue to where the problem is.
A quick troubleshooting fix is
Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iWeb's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
3 - launch iWeb and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
However, when you delete the preference file you probably will have to use the app described below to select and open your domain file with iWeb:

Website has many drop-down menus. Once selected, user updates the page based on selections. Unable to select more than 1 option at a time. Is there a setting to fix this? I was able to do before, but after reinstall, it has stopped.

This occurs on any website with active menu drop-downs. I am able to select the 1st drop-down, but must then load the page and do the next drop-down. I used to be able to make every selection at once and then reload the page to reflect all of those options.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

How do I un-delete a website from the drop down menu?

I deleted a website from the awesome bar before. Now I want that website to appear on the drop down menu again. I visit it almost everyday but I cannot see it on the awesome bar. How can I fix this?

If it was removed it may no longer be listed, however if you have visited the site again I am guessing two things are happening if it does not show up:

I go to a website that has drop down boxes to select videos they do not work in Firefox but do in IE

I am working in a site called Niche Proffit Classrooms. They require me to use Firefox. I have installed Firefox 11.2. Their drop down boxes to choose a video to watch work fine in IE but not in Firefox when using my desktop. They only drop down to expose 1 video out of 8. If using my laptop, they work in Firefox. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 11.2 on my desktop but it still does not work.

When I re-start Firefox, it does not come back in the last opened websites

In other versions of Firefox was it possible if I re-started the browser of firexox, that all websites which were open... that the last opened websites came back (if I choose for that), I could also make a choice to refresh the websites and open with the startpage.
In the versions 4, 5 and 6 of Firefox was it not possible to start with the solution of the last opened internet-websites. Every time if I got an update from software or I installed new software it was for me easy to restart Firefox and get the same websites back, so I could work further...... Now it's neccasary to save and write down all the different url's (sometimes 20 or more tabs) befor I can restart Firefox or Windows.
I'm disabled and bedridden and I want this solution back.... so is that possible?

Reset firefox button does not appear in Troubleshooting information. Not even in safe mode. Every time I shut down computer firefox loses my profile.

As stated above, firefox loses my profile every time I restart the computor. I have created new profiles and changed the location and changed it back again to no avail. I now want to just restart firefox in default mode but the default button does not appear, not even in safe mode.

Yes. Sorry, I should have mentioned that there have been several reboots involved during the troubleshooting.
I am running Firefox in an admin level account in this case - so, there shouldn't be any permission issues there.
I have tried shutting down both the desktop firewall software, and the anti-virus, and the problem still persists exactly as described. (Obviously, I disconnected the system when I did that [smile].)
All other software on the system that I have tried, interacts with the file dialog just fine ... so, I don't think it is anything central like some corruption associated with the file dialog itself.
As I said, it is most perplexing.

Firefox installation does not initiate. Have tried different versions but the pop-up only remains for less than 1 second then closes down.

Firefox crashed without even opening the main window - just the apology pop-up appeared. Nothing I could do would open the programme. MS Fixit identified a problem with IE8 and put it down to AVG8 Link Scanner. I disabled this, and tried Firefox again. It worked perfectly for a time. Later, when trying to open Firefox, nothing happened - no crash pop-up, no navegation window - zilch. I tried to re-install the programme, but as soon as I execute it, the "Extracting" pop-up opens then closes immediately. I tried to uninstall Firefox using the Windows control panel, but this did not work - Error 21, whatever that is, then tried to reinstall again with the same result.The Firefox uninstall did work. I unistalled my AVG8 anti-vir and tried again - nothing. I downloaded an older version of Firefox - same result. Something is blocking any activity concerning Firefox and I am totally at a loss to identify it. Can anyone help, please?

1. Is there a "hung" firefox.exe process in the Windows Task Manager?
2. Have you tried restarting that PC?

Why firefox 3.6 downloads all of the files again after restartarting the browser from a website if the "clear history when Firefox closed" is not Enabled?

We have a corporate website, we officially support FF3, FF4, IE8 and IE9. Our web site is quite big, so we really need browser caching, first time page load is around 15 seconds. With files in the cache getting new page is less than a second.
Everything works perfect except with FF3. With FF4, IE8, IE9 if we are on the website, clicking everywhere is fast, the page is in the cache. If we restart the browser, it is still fast, it loads files from the cache.
But with FF3 we have a problem. Every time we restart the browser, it is loading the files again from the server, instead of using the local cache (checked with Firebug). I can reproduce the problem anytime, it is the same with every FF3 instances. I double checked, the "clear history when Firefox closed" option is not enabled.
Could you advise please how to use the local cache either after browser restart?

Just read that the default memory storage on FF is set to 5 mbs. You can up that by clicking on tools, advanced and overriding the default and set it to 50 mbs (if you use lots of tabs) or 10 mbs (if you use just a few).
I open a blank tab and clear the cache periodically, while I am working. I can have several tabs open and watch videos on Youtube, by doing this. Have you cleared your cache?
Since I have an older computer, I've also used CCleaner for years. I use it often, but always before signing off. You can get it free...search for CCleaner, download from Pirifoam free. I didn't change any of the settings and it clears crap left behind from uninstalling programs, clears all browsers at once of: cookies, history, passwords, etc. I love it!
I had freezing, before using the "open blank tab, clear the cache" thing. Now I have no problems. Plus, as I said...you can change the default memory usage for FF and that should help too.

Yesterday I tried ordering from walmart.com and selected and edited my order with ease. When I clicked on "Check out now and Place Order" I was re=cycled back to the same order page and could not finish my order. I then tried with Safari and completed my order with no problems. This has happened on other websites occasionally, and I need to know if it is something in Firefox or my Add-ons that I need to adjust to keep this from happening. When opening .doc from website link, FF appends .docx extention to file & does not open in Word 2010, with incorrect file format error. Pls Help

I'm using Firefox v12 to open a hyperlink from a website that points to a filename.doc MS Word Document for download.
We are then asked to open the file with MS Word (Default), which our installed version is MS Word 2010.
Firefox then renames the file appending a .docx to the filename e.g filename.doc.docx. MS Word 2010 opens with error 'incorrect file format', which is correct as Firefox has renamed it.
Is there a fix or workaround for this?

It's when I open it directly, Firefox appends the 'docx' extenstion to the filename.
If I continue to reopen from the web link, Firefox renames the file as so
mydoc.doc-1.docx
mydoc.doc-2.docx
mydoc.doc-3.docx
I can open a .doc from a Microsoft site ok.
I have the feeling it's the way the web server is reporting the mime type to Firefox.
The link in question works fine in Internet Explorer.
