Why is one of the video and audio feeds in my recording gone?
My company does webinars for subscription members, and we broadcast them via Adobe Connect. We then package up some of the recordings and put them on YouTube as promos for a larger series, etc. We had the first session of a really marketable series Monday night, and so I was prepping the recording this morning so we could put it on YouTube as a promo for the series. I opened the "Make FLV" option in order to make an FLV of the session. When the window opened, it wasn't large enough to see everything, so I expanded it. At this point, I noticed that one of the video feeds for a presenter was frozen, and his audio feed wasn't working, so I closed it. I opened the recording normally and found the same thing. It turns out, if you resize the window (which it doesn't tell you not to do), your recording may be corrupted. Is this really true? Did someone design something in a way that users doing normal user things could ruin their entire project? This is going to cost my department a bunch of money because we either have to pay the speaker to come back or figure out some kludge to fix it (or just eat a cost to marketing that's greater than what we pay for our Adobe license), and as usual it's just about impossible to find a way to actually contact an Adobe support rep. Yes, that little piece of info is critical. I'd say the biggest difficulty with FCPX is the whole new language.
If I read you correctly, your Audio is in the Main Storyline (Track 1 in plain old Editorese). This makes anything else you add (above or below) a "connected clip", which we can no longer think of as "Track 2" because Jobs sez so. So, yes, you cannot just add a transition to either end of a connected clip.
No argument with Tracy's solution, because I haven't seen any other general solution presented for any attempt to treat connected clips as the main storyline. And, of course, when they were "track 1" and "track 2", you could.
An alternative solution, however, is to highlight the connected clip and press Ctrl-V to bring up the Video Animation Editor. Click the "reveal button" for Compositing: Opacity (bottom, right). Once open, there is a "fade handle" to the right top. Drag it left for however much fade you wish. (there is one on the left as well, but you were only talking about a fade-out.)
A second alternative, perhaps for future projects where everything keys on audio, may be to create a Gap clip (used to be called slug) in the primary storyline before ever dropping in the audio. Then you can add video to the main story line and modify it without having to go thru hoops to do the simplest thing. -
I'm thinking of using Final Cut Pro to straighten slightly crooked footage and then re-import back to iMovie to complete the video. Does this have any impact on image quality?
As your rotate the image, you will begin to see black edges. So, as Tom implies, the image must be scaled up to hide those voids. If you shot 4k ad are editing in a HD timeline, no problem, lots of room to spare. If you shot 1080 and are editing in a 1080 timeline, you will run into issues at a certain point. However, if your 1080 project is going to be transcoded to 720 or ye olde DVD you won't notice any deterioration at all.

My firefox 4 default theme looks nothing like the one in the video.

After that, right click the top bar and unckeck "Menu Bar". This will disable the menu bar and show the orange Firefox button.
Make sure you have also "Tabs on top" checked.
I also see you use ChromiFox theme in Firefox 3. If you want to have a similar theme for Firefox 4, you can download the FXChrome theme.

When trying to import videos off of a CD I continually get error code -36 on one of the videos. How can I fix this?
Contact Apple and request a 10.4 or possibly a 10.5 distribution disk for this system, if you've not obtained that DVD disk from the seller.
Boot and use that distribution disk to wipe the hard disk via Disk Utility, and to then reinstall OS X.
Best to start with a fresh installation of OS X, as that'll provide the default environment and not something that's been customized and extended by the previous owner.
The last OS X version that was supported for most PowerMac G5 systems was 10.5.8, and that would be preferable — if your Mac supports that.
If you're not sure which Mac you have, then use the > About This Mac from the menu and request more information on the system. You're looking for a model number listed there, and that'd be something like PowerMac7,3 or PowerMac11,2 for a ~2005-vintage PowerMac system. Whatever model number you have can then be used to determine the general specs for the configuration, and what the last version of OS X that was supported for the system. -

Do your videos play in QuickTime Playerwhen you reveal one of them in the Finder with "File > Reveal > Original"? Try to open the revealed movie in QuickTime and see if it plays.
Check the format of the movie. You can see it in the Inspector in QuickTime Player from the "WIndow" menu: Window > Show Inspector.
iPhoto does not support all movie formats and codecs that QuickTime player can play, and not all frame rates.

If the movie does not play in QuickTime Player either, install QuickTime 7 for more codecs. -

The map part is not blocked, but the second page with the descriptions/text will not let me make any changes to it. I cannot select anything on the page including the images.

There are a number of extremly dubious sites which claim to offer Drivers for common Hardware, but actually are phishing for identies and credit card numbers and candidates to join a bot-net.
Make absolutely certain you load drivers ONLY from the manufacturer's web site. -
I do not have the daq assistant vi on my labview 2010 and have found no drivers for it. I downloaded the service pack but that did not have it either what should i do.

Did you install LabVIEW first on your PXIe 8102 before the drivers? Most likely, you're missing LabVIEW support for your DAQmx drivers. Fortunately, this is an easy fix. What you should do is open Add/Remove Programs, select National Instruments Software, select Uninstall/Repair. In the window that pops up listing NI software, select NI-DAQmx 9.x and select Modify. In the window that appears, expand Application Development Support and select to install LabVIEW support. From here complete the install process and restart your system. LabVIEW support should be installed and DAQ Assistant should appear in your palette.

I rencently added all my photo's from my Ipad and Camera. There were photos and videos on both. The import was done through Iphoto and then transfered to my backup in my pictures folder. I then took one of my videos and trimmed it and then addded that trimmed version to my back up(pictures)albumn. It asked If i wanted to replace existing photo or cancel and I hit replace. Now the file plays great on Iphoto but I am unable to share it through any form(facebook, Imessage etc) and in my back up(pictures) it says the file in only 87kb. I dragged and dropped it from Iphoto to the desk top along with another important video, when I hit get info on both of them one of them is a full sized video(50mb or whatever) and the other one(the one I am trying to recover) is only the 87kb. I want this full file avaiable to me how can I get it back?? it is already deleted off the camera??? please please help me.

is your movie in your backup folder a Quicktime movie? Then probably only have the Quicktime wrapper in your backup folder, but not the referenced media in the file fork of the movie. If you see the full quality movie in iPhoto in QuickTime player, don't drag it from the browser to the Desktop, but use "File > Reveal in Finder > Original File" to show the movie in your iPhoto Library. Select the Movie when it is revealed and ctrl-click it to open it in Quicktime Player.
Export it from Quicktime Player with "Export to" and share it to iTunes. This way it will be converted to a .mp4 movie that embeds the missing resources.
You can drag the converted movie from iTunes to the Desktop or share it using to Media Browser to other applications.

My Firefox 4.0 does not look anything like the videos you show about the features of the new Firefox. My screen looks totally different than yours. It does not have the orange box in the upper left hand corner of the screen. My screen still looks like the old version. Under this line I have File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. Below this line is a tab with Ask a Question Firefox Help and a +. My husbands screen looks identical to the orange Firefox Box in the upper left of screen. I would like my screen to look identical to the ones shown in your videos. I only have one version of Firefox 4.0 my husband does have the Firefox 4.0 plus the Beta version. How do I add the Beta version? I have Windows Vista running systems. Please help.
