My Photos app works the same on iOS 5 as it did on iOS 4 i.e. I can have a different track for each album. When I select a track for a photo album I then start the slideshow so that it shows the first couple of photos with the track playing - I'm not sure it's necessary to start the slideshow but I always do and it remembers that track for that album.

The phone is physically intact, but you can see the LCD is cracked behond the glass. I have tried plugging it in, tried putting it on the charger, and resetting it using the off and home buttons, bit response. I don't need the phone to work, but I do need to be bale to back it up in order to restore to the new phone. It depends on how you are using your iPad. If you are streaming videos or music, or playing interactive games which require internet access a lot, you may not get a full 9 hours from your battery. In addition, have you closed unused apps? To do so, double tap your home button to bring up the Task Bar (most recently used apps). Hold your finger on any of the apps on the Task Bar until they all start to jiggle and you'll see a sign on the upper left corner of each app. Tough the to fully close them.
Finally, location services, push for mail and it's frequency can have a dramatic effect on battery usage. Turning them off, as well as not using your screen at 100% will help reduce battery usage.

When I preview a song on itunes it will play for only a couple of seconds and then it "rebuffers". It does this constantly. I do not have this issue when I preview a song on Amazon or if I listen to Pandora radio. Is there any way to fix this?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If that doesn't work we may have to reinstall AW6...

sure pretty simple. make a backup of your current settings

then import pics to computer

I did read what you posted, and will point out once more - the organised bookmarks were kept, the unsorted - the majority - were lost. I tried accessing them THROUGH sync as I couldn't find them before I started sync and thought that might help. Really didn't. Sync was only loaded with version 6, never used it on 3. Updated from 3 to 6; tried to find bookmarks. All unsorted ones GONE. accessed sync; no bookmarks. went back to three. never shifting again, version 6 is a quick trip to hell. Should have known not to trust the program to preserve bookmarks, blame myself for being so bloody stupid to trust it to keep my information safe. Moral: always save multiple backups.

Did you by chance have photo stream turned on? If so then they might be there. When you restored your phone it deleted everything and they will be unretreivable from your computer.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I see. To get a better idea of what is being stored where please download and run the script iTunesInfo which should output something like this:
I'm interested in the block of 4 results starting ITL location. If your profile name shows up somewhere replace it with <Name>. It is also worth checking under Edit > Preferences > Advanced to see where iTunes thinks your media is supposed to go.
