Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

New here for a problem I think is quite weird. Got the MBA 2013 i7
When I boot Windows from OS X > Startup Disk > Boot Windows, I can launch a virtual machine in hyper-V, so that's cool, but I can't see an wifi networks available, so no internet.
If I reboot to Windows directly from Windows (bootcamp options), I connect without pain to any wifi but I cannot launch a vm in Hyper-V anymore (the Windows Phone 8 emulator to be precise). It says hardward virtualization is not enabled in BIOS.
Seems to me it loads either the wifi driver, either the VT-x. Any ideas?People I have some good news!!! The problem is in BootCamp!!!!!!
I'm now able to run the Windows Phone emulator on a Windows 8.1 bootcamp!
This is what you have to do.... for everytime you want to use the emulator you must follow this steps:
- Shut computer completly off;
- turn it on and hold the Alt key to boot in MAC OS;
- go to settings, bootcamp and choose Windows, then click restart.
On this session you will be able to run the emulator with no problems!!!! if you turn off your computer and boot automatically to windows the error will appear again!

My 4-year old AirPort Extreme intermittently drops out (no signal to my iMac Book). My hard-wired iMac still has internet capability. The laptop shows reception of other nearby Wi-Fi transmitters, but not mine. I have changed the bands back and forth, but the problem comes back. How can I check if it is a transmitter problem or interference?
Let me see if I can suggest a strategy.
I have talked with my ISP and he said that I am not the only one with an Airport Extreme with the same issue. He said to try to write the DNS direclty, rather than using the Auto settings - still nothing works.
What modem do you have and what sort of broadband?
What mode is the AE in.. router or bridge?
I have an Airport Express from 2010. Since about a month and definetly since yesterday, I cannot connect any device via Wifi to it although LAN connection works correctly.
Is this express or extreme.. the rest of the post you refer to extreme.
What is the actual model number of the AE? A1xxx from the base or the part number MCxxx from the box.
If the AE is bridge.. I want you to try a different method.. put it in router mode.. don't worry about double NAT but ensure the IP range of the modem /router is different to the AE.. so if one is 192.168.x.x then the AE on default at 10.x.x.x is fine.. if the main router is 10.x then move the AE to 192.168.x.x
Make sure the guest wireless is off.
Using a 5.6 utility on your 10.6.8 OS mini go to the log and see if the wireless is registering..
You should see lists of wireless connection like..
Post as many screenshots of the setup as you can.. it helps loads.
IPv6 is starting to become a pain.. try it off and try local link and try auto.. in the computer. -

The main screen on my Iphone 4 seems to be locked. I have to double tap icons to open. In the keypad screen I have to double tap numbers to dial. I have tried to reset using both the back button and the power button. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? Any help is appreciated!

You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.

When I try to access my email I can see mail the preview page but when I click to go to inbox it bounces back out to my password again. I re-enter password and it does the same again. How do I search the content inside a single email?
I'm new to the iPad with the recent purchase of my iPad 3. I enjoy using Apple's Mail app. And I know how to search the contents of "all emails. "But how do I search the text content of a particular email? I am talking about one single email here. Again, I know how to search ALL emails -- I'm not asking about that. How do I search the content of just one email?
This is a logical question, but I'm surprised no one is asking it. Sometimes we receive long emails. And we want to search for a keyword within that given long email. So how do we do that on the iPad with Apple's Mail?

How do I get my music onto icloud from my ipad? I can see i have plenty of icloud storage but can't get my music to store on icloud hence taking up lots of storage on my ipad
If you want to be able to access your entire music library from iCloud, you'll have to subscribe to iTunes Match (http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/). Music purchased from the iTunes store is already in iCloud as it can be redownloaded at any time (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).

With two or three pages open, I have scroll bars that allow me to see the right side of the other pages, but not on the Firefox page.
Thank you for the reply, Fred, but when I went to my saved screenshot, I realized that the shortcut on my desktop had opened in IE, not Firefox. There is no scroll bar and the directional arrows do not work. My daughter has been playing with my laptop again. When I set up the same conditions with Firefox, there is no scroll bar, but the arrows function properly, so I can read to the right edge of the page. Now to find someone who knows IE11. I just updated my iPad to the new ios and now it won't let me use iCloud. I have been in my settings and it says I need to agree to the new t&c's but when I click to do it my device freezes. Any Idea what I can do as I can't download new app either
Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.
Maybe it's time to buy yourself a new iPod Touch. -
Everytime I use IE, first I have to click on the IE bar to allow blocked contect to display. What is the content that is being blocked from IE? viewers may not know what the problem is and see my site totally out of format.

I am using iphoto 6.0.6 and after opening the application it drops below the dock. I can see it when I use expose to reveal all open windows but once selected it drops below the dock.
Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101. -
