Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7 or later: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before. -

How to get SPL to snap to beat bar or other when clicking in the bar ruler
Been using Logic so long it hurts to ask. All of my settings got trashed moving to a new system.
I want to click in the bar ruler at measure 60 and have the SPL snap to 60 1 1 1 and not 60 1 1 .45 or 59 4 1 1 etc.
Logic never did this fractional snap to before. How do I fix it?

Is a separate photo-backup necessary when you use the catalogue-backup
Well, the title says it all. When i back-up the catalogue, i assumed the backup would be mede of al the tags added to photo's. When i check the catalogue-files, i see a whole lot of jpg-files. My actual photo-collection contains jpg-, raw an avi-files.

If you choose to do this, you would also need to create backups of all of your photos. The responsibility is yours to make sure this all happens; whereas if you use the built in command File->Backup Catalog, then the software takes care of all of this for you.
Furthermore, making your own backups means you also have to know exactly how to do the restore, should you ever need to do so. Believe it or not, we see a lot of people here in the forums who think they know exactly how to do the restore, only to find they can't get the restore to work. Again, using the built-in command File->Backup Catalog means that the software takes care of all the details of doing the restore via the command File->Restore Catalog. If you make your own backups, you cannot use File->Restore Catalog.
Unless you really know exactly how to do a restore and make everything work, I would use the built-in commands. -

The App store is a iOS function and cannot be deleted. Try checking other home screens/folders and see if you can locate it. If not, go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

I have only one ID software is presinstalled and software was "not hidden" or even showing...I just got various error messages and ID errors.
It was not spotlight indexing either.

Close Mac App Store
Go into this folder
/Library/Application Support/App Store
Drag this file to the desktop
adoption.plist
Repen Mac App Store and log in
If it fixes your problem, great, if not, you can move the old adoption.plist file back"

You can turn that feature off in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Contacts>Show in App Switcher>Recents>Off.

How can I convert an Excel (2008) document to Numbers. When I drag the Excel document onto the Numbers icon I get, "Import error. The file format is invalid.
That extension identifies the most current Excel file format, a format that can be opened by Numbers '09 (and by Numbers '08).
A check with Numbers '09 shows it capable of opening .xlsx files when right-clicked (and Numbers chose as the application to open, when double-clicked (if Numbers has been set as the default application to open this type of file, or when dragged to the Numbers icon in the dock.
I see two possibilities for Numbers inability to open it and the message you receive:
1. The file is not actually an Excel file, and the sender has added the .xlsx extension to the filename manually.
2. The file is an Excel file, but has somehow been corrupted.
Have you tried opening the file with a different application? The open source Office suites, OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice and NeoOffice can also open .xlsx files. If they're unable to open this one, that would point toward the file itself being faulty. You can download these applications from their rspective websites, linked in the names above. All request a donation to support future development, but only Neo requires one to have been made recently, and that only for the current release (which won't be necessary to open .xlsx files).

You're in trouble. You'll have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it to remove the passcode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -

If the iTunes purchases are not in your iTunes library you can redownload them by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If you restore from backup, not that synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup and thus if those items are not in the iTunes library they can't be restored to the iPod during the latter part of the restore process. -
How to get back "Bookmark All Tabs" in menu ? Please if you don't want it (still quite some ppl want because it's usefull), at least allow to get it back trough Preferences (or at least about:config)
Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and Bookmarks menu (Alt+B) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.
* "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).

Is this a one-off or a general problem? If a one-off, is it a link to a web page or something else? If not a web page, try control-clicking on it and choosing to download the linked file. This will at least access the file though it might be to something you don't have an application to open with. If you do this, what sort of file do you get? - select it and hit command-i to get information on it.
