In iTunes can I make a song apart of two different albums? How?
I have volume 4 of glee music in one album but then I have a lot of other stuff in the complete season 2 album and I want the volume 4 stuff in the season 2 album but I also want it in the volume 4 album. Can I do that?
I have the Yosemite update and I've updated iTunes so that it's pink as well.
Only by making a second file.
Right-click, Show in Finder, and make a copy of the song file. Change the name of the file, add it to iTunes, and edit its info so that it is associated with the second album.

since i updated to ios 5, i lost all my songs, even though i clicked the "update" not "restore" now i gotta start all over again, but this time when i tried to put some songs on there it showed up as this i dont know what that gray area means, im thinking it was the iCloud but i already chose to put backup on my computer, instead, then when i also checked on my ipod touch, nothing was there. so how can i make my songs playable offline?
i figured this out, you have to go to settings > general > itunes wifi sync OR when you're plugged in with itunes you have to check "sync with this ipod over wifi" so that way, when you try to transfer your files, it goes back to black mode instead of gray.. i know, its kinda dumb.. idk why they make things hard for us to figure it out. but thats how it works.. hope that helps

Itunes can not find original song file
Suddenly my itunes can not find the song's original file.
I see that the file is on the driver but when I double click on Itunes I get this mesage:
"the song could not be used because the original file could not be found.
Any helpers out there?
THKSI've been experiencing this problem for a while now. It happens with version 7.1 but it started with an earlier version of iTunes 7. I never experienced it before iTunes 7. In my experience the number of files iTunes "thinks" is missing increases with the length of time iTunes has been running between restarts (I usually just put my system to sleep overnight so it can "run" for days on end). When it first started happening I used to go and find the "missing" music file(s) and reconnect it(them). Then, one day, I found a flood of "missing" songs. I decided I had nothing to lose by stopping iTunes and restarting it. When I restarted iTunes none of my songs were missing! This indicated to me that it's the iTunes code that's active after a restart that has a bug that makes it lose track of the music files.
To check, I looked in the Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml file for songs while they were being reported as "missing", and, lo and behold, the song file locations are still there. iTunes must reread the xml file when it starts up and this cures the problem, at least in my case. (Too bad it doesn't use the file while it's running.)
I usually just play my entire library in random order. So, if a song or two disappears, I'm rarely aware of it. All I've been doing lately is stopping and starting iTunes when I feel like getting rid of the "!" scourge. -
I need to play a song in a row in a Keynote presentation, how do I do this ? I use to drag and drop the mp3 in Keynote but it stops playing when the slide move to the other one... how can I make the song keep playing through out the presentation ?

iTunes 11 has converted some songs to Quicktime movie format. How can I convert them back to MPEGs?
I didn't mess with the iTunes Media folder previously, so I don't think that was the cause. Anyway, I manually fixed most of the songs, but I still can't figure out how to fix the movies that became listed as songs.
Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I click on "Get Info" for one of the movies (which has ended up in the music section on iTunes):
There is no option to change the media kind to "movie" or "video" even though it is a movie and it still plays as a movie if I press play. -
Can I labled the same song to more than one albums? As you know, some songs are repeated in different albums.
You can make a copy of an existing song, then change the album, artwork and track number details. You cannot make the same physical file show up in two different albums.

Itunes has lost my purchase song list but all the albums are list as complete my albums. The ones i have purchased are tell me i have to buy them again. Not happy Itunes not Happy Apple.
How do i fix it or does apple have to fix it on there end?If the single songs are no longer available in Itunes, that would also explain why you aren't able to see your purchases.
If the songs are on your phone you can transfer purchases to iTunes app on your computer. You wouldn't be able to download them again though. -
i backup my iphone on my pc and copy backup file into drive D then i setup new OS on my pc. after that i copy the backup file into itunes backup folder but itunes can't find the backup file to restore my iphone. how can i restore my iphone?

I found the answer to my question.
When you attach a device (iPhone, iPad) to your Mac, in iTunes 12 in appears as a tiny icon in the second "row" of the iTunes display. Click the icon and the familiar iTunes display for the device appears. From there, on the Summary screen, you can see the dates of the backups of the device (iCloud and backup to the computer). You can also use the button to backup to the computer. -

between a server and multiple clients?Thats pretty much how I do it. I normally use an array or ArrayList of Sockets instead of HashTable, with [0] being the first player etc.... Then you can communicate with exactly who you want. If you want to send bytes to all of them, just send the same thing to each socket individually (or is there a better way to do this?). -
Hi, when I upload music into itunes from a cd it sometimes appears in itunes as two different albums and split up the music in 2 or even three albums....how can i merge these albums...this is particularly true when one album may have different composers?
Generally setting a common Album title and Album Artist will fix things.
For compilations that aren't, select all tracks, Get Info, and on the option tab set Part of a Compilation to No. If it already says No tick the box alongside, then click OK.

If the folder is outside the Muse page, you will have to insert manual HTML to define a more complex URL like e.g. ../_stuff for going one level up and then into a folder called "_stuff" The deeper you are in the hierarchy, the more ../ you will have to add to climb up.

How do I get all the songs from an album to show in the album view? Currently, if an album lists the artist plus a guest artist, those are shown separately and appear to be two different albums on my iPod. How do I get all the songs on that album together on my iPod? If the album is a collaboration wtih many artists, each sond may appear as a separate album.
I used to have this problem.
First, you need to go back on iTunes
you need to go to each of the songs that are having this problem
Click the album so all the songs drop down
Right click the songs that have this problem
Click ' Get info '
Click the tab that says " info '
The box that says ' album artist ' should probably be empty (correct me if I'm wrong)
Click it and type the artist of the entire album, NOT the songs guest artist
as such,

These should be separate for each artist
If you write the same album artists for each song by that artist, all the songs should be on 1 album

After switching from my old Nokia N8 to a Lumia 920, one thing that disappointed me is the categories search functionality in Nokia Maps in WP8. On the Symbian device the categories were handily available close to the name search etc. On the Lumia I
