in iTunes on your computer, how do I switch to an Ipod nano from and old ipod that doesn't work any more? It has all the folders and songs I had on my old ipod, but does not recognize my ipod nano and cannot sync with it?

About Authorization and Deauthorization of iTunes - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420. You can deauthorize all computers once per year. You then can go the computer you currently have, and authorize them individulally.

You will need to use that old Apple ID and password to update any apps you purchased using that account. So you will either need to recover that Apple ID, which if you forgot the password you should be able to reset here:

or you will need to delete all those apps and repurchase them using your current Apple ID.

I'm going to see if Currys can remove all info from my hard drive and hopefully recover my itunes, but if this does not work is there another way to get them?The computer not working in no way means the drive is inaccessible.
Place the drive in an external enclosure.
Use the backup of the computer to restore the data to the new computer.

If the phone isn't working, you can't. If you have a backup on your computer, you may be able to extract them from the backup using 3rd party software such as iPhone Backup Extractor (see http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com).

Within music Library can anyone please explain why after I select the option to sort 'Album by Artist' a number of tracks are being treated as separate albums? How can I fix this? I have tried to manually correct by 'drag and drop' individual tracks but that doesn't work. My music library includes a number of repeat album artwork images simply because not all tracks are being listed under the one album making my library more difficult to use than it should. Any advise would be appreciated.

I can't restore and make my ipad work. every time i start restoring it it gets stuck and error message (1603) pops on the screen.

Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
