In iTunes, I received a message that a file could not be read but when I play it on my computer it works fine.

I am trying to download an album for my kids onto my old (3G) iphone. All other songs/albums work fine. This one says it can't be read.

2. go File -> Add File to Liblary... (Ctrl+O) or File -> Add Folder to Liblary

Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups. I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it? Sounds like your iPhone was hacked/modified/jailbroken to work
with other than the original carrier and the update to iOS5 has
relocked your iPhone to the original carrier.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Have you tried removing the current SIM, cleaning the
contacts, and reinstalling the SIM?

It appears the phone has been restored, but I cannot activate it.
I disabled my anti-software, iTunes and computer software (microsoft vista) are both up to date, I restarted the computer several times. My usb ports are working properly. I followed the troubleshooting suggestions from apple.

I receive the message that I Tunes was not installed correctly and Error 7 (Windows Error 193). I have uninstalled/reinstalled I Tunes several times and this has not resolved the issue. I also uninstalled/reinstalled Microsoft.net Framework 4 since this was suggested by Apple support. This also has not resolved the issue.
When I reinstall I Tunes, I get a message that the “Service ‘apple mobile device’ failed to start.” Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I attempted to manually start the Apple Mobile Device service but get a pop up stating, “Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.”Unsure what I should try next.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component, such as Apple Mobile Device Support, won't install normally.
In your case I suggest you start with a clean download of the setup file using the direct link. If reinstalling AMDS alone doesn't work try tearing everything down again.

I still have 2.5 GB free. I sync'ed last night fine. How could I need 8.75 GB (6.25 +2.5) more space on a 16GB iPhone. I have added nothing but audio podcasts to my iTunes library on my Mac in the last two days and I have not change the sync setting on my iPhone. Something has gone haywire. Any ideas. I resolved this after some analysis. Turnes out that iTunes was not recognizing that my music was already installed on my iPhone, so when I tried to sync, iTunes was attempting to load all my music a second time, and there was not enough room on my iPhone for that. I did a restore from backup today and this appears to have resolved the problem. I initiatied an iTunes sync and it worked fine. Not sure where the glitch was. Could have been in the latest update of the iTunes software. Not sure. Anyway, I'm good now.
