In lightroom 5.3, I do not see the radial filter ellipse.
Yesterday I purchased Lightroom 5.3 and tried the radial filter. It seemed to work fine.
Today I can not longer see the filter's ellipse. What am I doing wrong?
Press "H".
When using the Radial Filter, there are various options using the "Show Edit Pins" menu at the bottom of the image. Pressing the "H" keys toggles between "Never" (likely what you have) and "Auto" (which shows the pins and the elipse when the mouse is over the images, but hides them when you move the mouse off the image). There are other options as well, experiment with them to get to your preferred display state.
These same display options are also in the Gradient tool and the Adjustment Brush.

I have Camera Raw 8.7.1 installed. Sometimes it will show me icons for the Graduated Filter and the Radial Filter and I can use both. At other times it will not show the Radial Filter and of course when that happens I can't use it. Why?
I have CS 6 installed as well as a subscription to Photoshop CC, but I don't use CS 6. I'm just keeping it around in case Adobe jumps the CC subscription price out of sight. I was using Photoshop CC and Bridge. I always pass my .nef and .jpg files through ACR first. Sometimes the Radial Filter button is there and sometimes it is not.

Hello.
The problem is that the iPhoto library is inside of iPhoto. Lightroom won't let you select it because it's basically a shortcut to iPhoto. Try exporting the images you need or all of them, depending on what you need. -
purpose: to create photo galleries to insert or not items:
1) with phocagalery, it works
2) with the transfer via lightroom, I do not see the downloaded files but if I want to create a directory folder with the same name, he said he is already, I see nothing in the media in content management

I am having problems opening images renerated in lightroom5 into cs6. Cs6 bridge does not see the lightroom libarary. If I open lightroom and right clik the image, edit in cs6, 6 opens but the picture doesnot follow. What is going on? Give me a hand, thanks.
What edition of LR 5? What edition of ACR does PSCS 6 contain. If they are not parallel (same edition number x in [5 or 8].x ), is LR making a tiff or psd rendition of the image?

Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge does not recognize the raw files from my new Canon Mark III 5D Camera. How can I get my files open to view and edit? I am using LR3, Photoshop CS3 and Bridge CS3. Do I need to upgrade these programs or is there another way to get these programs to recognize my files?
When I try opening the raw images in Lightroom, the thumbnails say "Preview unavailable for this file" ... when I click "import" an error message pops up that says "The files are from a camera which is not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom."
When I try opening the raw images in Photoshop, an error message pops up saying "could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file."
When I try opening the raw images in Bridge, it just shows an icon with the file name and CR2.
Please help!!!Unless I missed an announcement, today, LR6 isn't available, yet, right? Only Adobe employees and beta testers would know what LR6 does differently at this point and they're all sworn to secrecy.
LR5 is available as a standalone version.
PS-CS6 is available as a serial-number-licensed version.
PS-CC + LR5 are also available as a Photography Plan subscription for $10/month with a minimum OS versions of OSX 10.7 (and probably 10.8, soon) and Windows 7.
Bridge is part of PS, not a separate program.

PS-CS6 can be found on this page: Creative Suite 6 which can be found by searching www.adobe.com for Photoshop CS6 and clicking the Buy link in the on-the-fly search results.

After importing images from my card using LR 5.4, the GPS data does not show in the metadata panel. However, when I look at the imported images using Bridge, the GPS data is visible. Anybody know why LR is not seeing the GPS data? Camera is Canon 6D.
Ok, the issue seem to be solved. The problem was this:
The many hundred files (raw and xmp per image) have been downloaded by ftp in no specific order. Means - a couple of files in the download queue - both raw and xmps. Most of the time, the small xmp files have been finished loading first and hence the "last change date" of these xmp files was OLDER than the "last change date" of the raw file - Lightroom then seem to ignore the existence of the xmp file and does not read it during import.(a minute is enough to run into the problem)
By simply using the ftp client in a way that all large raw files get downloaded first followed by the xmp files, we achieved that all "last changed dates" of the xmp files are NEWER than the related raw files. (at least not older)
And then LR is reading them and all metadata information has been set / read correctly.
So this is solved. -

This problem has appeared in a few other threads. It's caused by installing Release 2 Raptor over Release 1 Raptor without first deinstalling Release 1 Raptor . So what you need to do is:
1) Back up any important Raptor files, e.g. connections etc.
2) Remove the existing Raptor Rel 1 installation folder
3) Install Raptor Rel 2

How do I get messages to go back to an AIM account? It's only seeing the iPad's Facetime email address and not seeing the old AIM account name that is on my desktop. I am using my iMac using iChat to talk to a newer iMac that doesn't have iChat. We had this working using Messages and Facetime (on the new machine) talking to my existing iChat account. One day last week, when Facetime rang, my kids answered on the iPad. Dang! Now it's all fouled up! The new iMac won't see my AIM account name and shows that I'm offline, because the iPad is off. We were able to call using "most recent call" in Facetime, but now I can't go and control that new iMac remotely to help with some email concerns the user is having. I'm trying to not personalize this too much, but it's grandkids talking to Grandma and Mom and Dad trying to solve new machine hiccups. Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?

I bought an I pad 2 from us but I can not activate the Facetime in UAE(Dubai)as I can not see the country in the I pad's drop list, anyone has an idea as to how to resolve this issue
I'm not that familiar with how FaceTime works. I know how to set It up but I don't use it. I just know that you can't activate in the UAE. I believe that you can activate in any country that permits it's use. Whether you will need a new ID or not, I can't confirm.
You can Google this and get all sorts of articles on workarounds. Apparently if you set up a VPN you can use it in the UAE. Here is one article that I found.

If your country allows you to re download past Movies (Not all do) then go to iTunes Store, Click on the Purchased link from under the Quick Links section on the right. Navigate tto the Movie Section, find your fil and click on the cloud icon to download at no extra cost.
If you do not see the Movie Option then Re-Downloading is not allowed in your country by the Content owners so Apple can not show it -

in 8.49 on Win 2003 some users can not see the reports in report manager/admin tab. PS user can see them.
Should we add some grants in user profile ? Which ? Any query to compare that user profile with PS ?
Thank you.On the administration page, you will be able to see "View Reports For" header on the top.
Under that header you will see the following fields:
User ID/Type/Last/Status/Folder /Instance
Above values will be used by PeopleSoft to filter and display the list of reports
If the user has selected Status as Processing and saved the page, PeopleSoft will only show reports which are in Processing status.
If user runs a report and it has been posted, it will not show up in report manager coz the filter value is set to Processing.
Hope this helps. I dont think Permissions has anything to do with this since user is able to view the page.
