In mac air when i type g it types as ©. I am typing g by pressing fn key and g key together.

It did not work.
I am using MacBook Air since three years. Had no problem with letter g button. Since a month I see whenever I press g, the character © appears instead of g. For typing g I hold fn button and press g button, then I get g. If I do not hold down fn button and if I press g button I get ©. (sorry for repeating)
can you or others now help ?

I can't stop the App Store from opening on my MAC Air when turning it on. It didn't use to do this and I have no idea what I did, but I don't want it to open without me asking it to. Help please.

I must have done something that I'm not aware of. Every time I turn on my Mac Air the App Store opens. I don't want that, obviously. It's not in my login apps (I checked in system preferences), and it's not in my dock and when I put it in my dock it didnt' show "open at login", and I never choose to resume my programs when shutting down.
I am running the latest OS (10.8.4).
So, there has to be something else that I'm missing. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
First, when you are going to turn off or restart your Mac, you will see a box called "Reopen windows when logging back in" in the shutdown or restart window. Untick this box and see if the App Store opens automatically in the next startup.
If it starts, open System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Items, and see if the App Store shows up. If so, remove it from this list

Why does my Mac Air when on the internet the window just freezes when loading?

MacBook Air 13, 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Macintosh HD, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB, OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
When connected to the internet things run pretty smoothly, then when I change sites or load another window it sometimes starts the load and then freezes. Sometimes I can delete the window and continue with an open window or everything just quits loading. I have tried to clear history, no help; I have cleaned disc and removed large files to free space, no help. The only thing that seems to help is shutting down an restarting, sometimes have to do this more than once.

Problem description:
When opening a page on internet it sometimes freezes and will not load. When trying other website they will not load. I’ve had this problem since loading Yosemite.

Need contacts on mac air to be controlling in cloud. How?

I have a Macbook Air, an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4. All are at the latest operating systems. I would like my contacts to sync across these using the cloud. However, the last time I tried it, I ended up with a mess. There were duplicates and old invalid contact information that came from who knows where. My contacts on my Macbook Air are now current and correct. I would like these to be the contacts that are used to set up what is in the cloud. How can I manage that and not end up with the cloud pulling extraneous information from the ether.

Mac HD's Spot on Desktop has Shifted--How to Correct?

Suddenly, after a restart, my Macintosh HD icon on my Desktop has shifted from the upper right corner of the screen to a spot near the Dock toward the bottom left. This spot is also where a new Folder appears when I create on. All of the other icons on my Desktop are behaving normally.
What I've done:
repaired permissions, verified disk (it's OK), run the crons, trashed Desktop prefs and restarted (problem persists)
Any suggestions?

Sounds like it may be corruption in the Home folder .ds store:
rm ~/.DS_StoreThis should set your Finder back to default and hopefully your HD icon as well.

You would need some sort of 3G device. You could use a personal hotspot feature on a smart phone, a USB modem or a MiFi device. You might want to talk to your cellular carrier to see what they have available.

I'm sure you've done everything like rebooting or testing other usb devices...have you tried to create a new user account and see if you get anything that way?, I would imagine you'd have to return the machine for an exchange at the Apple store.
