In Mail, why does the logo in my signature appear so big?
I've set up a signature in Mail that includes a jpg of my company logo. In the signature and in my outgoing emails it is the size I want it (ie a few cms) but in the recipient's email it expands to about 15 cms. How do I make it stay the same size?
And while writing about signatures, I have 3 (2 different companies and home); all have a short name. In the "Choose signature" field 2 show under that name, one shows all of the content in the sig. Why? How to get them all to show as the short name?

I think you may be referring to Scroll Effects. The Scroll Effects are now located in their own panel. From Muse's Window menu, choose 'Scroll Effects' to display the panel with all the options.

Why does the directory ~/var/log keep appearing?
It doesn't matter how many times I delete it, every few hours the blank directory ~/var/log gets created on my computer.
I think it may have something to do with my Brother HL2170W printer, which is connected to my wifi network. But that's just from the fruitless googling on this topic I've already done.
Does anyone know why a blank ~/var/log directory would persistently appear?
Thank you in advance.~var/log/ is a directory that holds log files. If it actually has a ~ in the name, some software is trying to write to the hidden directory, but has been miss-configured and is creating the directory you see instead of writing to /Users/username/var/log. ~/ is short for your home folder, but the program is actually writing that as part of the path name instead of being a path.

My ipad mini is not closing the apps, why does the x to close dont appear?
I used to. Close the app on my mini ipad by seen the menu on all open apps press one until the x came and started pressing x to close as many as i needed. Since i upgraded the ios the x does not show, and believe me i had tried plenty of times..... Whats happening?
Force close apps
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
3. The app will fly off the screen

Yahoo! partnered with Apple to allow an IMAP style offering on the iPhone, free of charge for their users. However that feature is only available if you use the iPhone. If you want IMAP/POP access on computers then you'd need to upgrade to the Plus level account. -
When I send an email from Mac Mail, why does Mail go to the background and the Finder comes to the front? I want it to stay in Mail.
Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall. -

I've just successfully installed the iCloud Control Panel on my PC (runs with Vista). Why does the iCloud Control Panel say "Install Outlook to use Mail, Contacts, and Calendars?" The Bookmarks (with Safari) and Photo Stream options are active, but the Mail (with Outlook), Contacts (with Outlook),and Calendars and Tasks (with Outlook) are not. I'm using Office Outlook 2007. I used to be able to synch my iPhone with my PC's Outlook through iTunes without any problems. Any help would be appreciated.
