I don't think I understand what you are asking.
If you are refering to the instrument's front panel, which locks when the instrument goes to remote mode, then it depends on the instrument how it can go back to local.
Some instruments will go to local by pressing any key, others a particular key. Refer to the instrument's documentation.
There is also a NI-488.2 function that makes the instrument go to local: ibloc.

Yes there is,
When you recieve a mail with an attachement (inline or as a picture) right click (or control click) the attachement and choose "show as symbol" or "show fullsize" (or completely or something like that, I don't work in English version). Mail will take this as a general preference.

I have an alias of one of my external hard drives in my trash. When I tried to delete it, it showed that I was deleting 80,000 files and counting. I stopped the delete process and when I clicked on "show original" all my external H.D.'s and my Mac hard drive show up. How do I delete this alias from the trash without loosing all my files? When I tried to drag it back to the desk top, it just made a duplicate and remained in the trash. When I turned off the external H.D., the trash was then empty. Tried rebooting the computer and then turning the external hard drive back on and the alias shows up in the trash again. Much help appreciated.

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

Sounds like the wifi isn't processing the data fast enough for video streaming. Have you tried resetting your wifi hub ? Switch it off for a couple of minutes and then restart it. See if that makes any difference.

To remove a photo from your iPad that is located in a photo album on your computer selected to be transferred to your iPad under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, the only way to remove the photo from your iPad is by removing if from the album on your computer followed by a sync.

How can i distinguish two controls with the same name?

I'm recording automated tests with VS 2012 Coded Ui Test for testing a web application.
In that web application it is possible to enter data in something looking like a list.
There is - per example - an Edit control sitting on a ColumnHeader with the name/text "Description".
Below that header is another Edit control for data input - containing the text "Description" too and which lies on a Cell control.
When i playback my recording, Coded UI Test looks for a control with the name "Description" and gets the one, it finds at first.
In that case the Edit on the ColumnHeader, which causes an exception, when the Text will be setted with the data input from the recording.
Unfortunately the controls have no ID.
Is there a way to distinguish controls with the same name?

Based on the blog "How does “Coded UI test” finds a control ??", we know that to really find a control, it would be related to the unique properties as the search properties,
so if two controls have the same property, please use other unique property as the search property would be better.

How do I make one control change the entry list of another?

I am using LabView 2010 and would like to create a custom control, in which there are two ring controls (among other things).
The options shown in one ring menu should depend on what option is picked in the other ring menu.
How does one do that?

Well the data that goes into the two rings will have to be initialised somehow... Or by constant array, or by reading them from file.
If you don't want to change your code, I would defenitly getting the string you want to get from file.
But still, to update the 2 rings, you will have to update the strings in the 2nd control on the fly.
FILE :

[POSSIBLE_SELECTIONS]
Selection1.Parent=1
Selection1.Name=...
Selection2.Parent=1
Selection2.Name=...
This is how you could set up the file. where options are the items which your are going to put in the first ring.
Depending on that selection you will go fill out the names in the second ring depening on which parent is selected in the first ring

How to find out which control triggered the event?

In my program, there are six buttons that does similar things, like changing the value of an array depending on which button is clicked. I used an event structure to do this. However, instead of repeating my codes six times in six events (one for each button click), I'd like to program one event case that responds to any of the six buttons. The question is, how do I know which button is clicked inside the case (any of the button can be either false or true, so reading the button value won't help)?

Now, how do I exlude navigation controls in the HTMl export in Keynote

In older version of Keynote there was an option when exporting to HTML that was "Include navigation controls". If I unchecked they were gone. Now that option is gone and I can't figure out how to remove the Navigation controls from the bottom of the bottom of the webpage. I tried modifying the "hud" div in the KeynoteDHTMLPlayer.css file as other forum posts suggest, but it seems to do nothing. I really need that thing gone. HELP!

There are no navigation controls in HTML exportfrom Keynote 6.2.
If a video is in the presentation, QuickTime controls will show when the cursor is on top of the video.

GPIB error in the instrument while no communication error

I am developing a test system by connecting several measurement instruments through GPIB with LabVIEW 6.i. The driver is written by using VISA command. GPIB control card is NI PCMCIA. When using laptop everything runs fine. When using an old PC with something like EISA to PCI converting card for slotting in the NI PCMCIA card. One instrument always displays an GPIB error. The error is instrument specific, no further detail is given by the manual. When the error comes out, no GPIB or VISA error exists. If only the driver for this instrument is installed so that the software only communicates with this particular instrument, no error. With other driver installed, there is no error in the first or two commnunication
. Later on the error is surely out and display in the instrument screen only. Once again, no any other GPIB or VISA communication error. Anybody can help on this ? Thanks a lot.

First of all, thank you very much for your prompt response. I am not sure some of your questions because our hardware engineer is away for a week. I am trying to explain what I know and see whether you could help to figure out the reason.
0. The operation system in the old PC is Win98. The CPU is PII 350MHz, 32G Hard disk and 320M RAM. The reason why we are using the old PC is that we have a 3rd party motion controller. Its control card is a ISA card.
1. The conversion device is a kind of card, put in the ISA slot in the PC extention I/O bus. We can slot in 2 PCMCIA cards in the conversion device. The driver for the NI PCMCIA card is supposed to be the same with that in laptop.
2. The driver that works with the instrument is developed by me by using NI-VISA. The instrument is a signal generator (SG) from Marconi instruments. Basically what the driver does is to turn on or turn off SG and read back its on-off status. When turning on SG, send setting frequency and signal level data as well. The calling of the driver is in a loop where frequency is stepping up.
3. There are other measuring instruments. e.g. electric field monitor probe to get the electric field strength etc. All these instruments' driver are developed by me by using NI-VISA. I also develop a set of dummy driver for all the instrument for demo purpose. Dummy drive did not communicate with instrument, inside, control is directly wired to status. When all other instruments except SG uses dummy driver, The running is OK. No error is displayed in the SG screen. If I use any of the other instrument's driver with that of SG, there is no problem at the first run (that means at the beginning of the loop), problem surely comes out later on. But it is OK when running in the laptop of which the OS is Win2000. The funny thing is if I takes out the status readback in SG driver, there will be no error at all even running with other instruments' driver in the old PC. I have compare through the GPIB card setting in the old PC and laptop, make sure that the EOI setting, primary address, EOS etc. to be the same in the two computer. It does not work.
4 & 5. The error displayed in the instrument screen is Error#403 "Data Expected". The manual said it is caused by the GPIB programming wrongly. No further explaination on how it may happen. Even there is such error display, no any GPIB or VISA error happens in my driver, the error cluster is clear. I debug the problem and find that the SG error appears when executing VISA resource open. I have also checked through all the NI GPIB help. It seems I could not find the answer.
6. I am not sure how to check the version of NI-488.2 and NI-VISA. NI-VISA is installed with the LabVIEW 6.i together.

Yamipod may not work for you if you have iTunes version 7 or later although there is an "untested" version.

Music from iPod to computer.
There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If none of these methods work, try CopyPod which also supports the transfer of videos from iPod to computer.
