In month view, the entries hide each other. They stack up.

I'm running a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 with 2GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory system with iCal version 7.0. In month view, the entries sometimes stack on top of each other garbling the image, rather than listing down the day. I am beginning to miss appointments and this is frustrating. I have quit calendar and restarted several times.

Whenever installing a new version, at least review the information about new features.
Turn off the infernal Align To Pixel Grid feature.

There is definitely a glitch somewhere because if I am on day view and try to click on day 15 of October, it will not let me. It totally is acting weird.

Free fonts, fonts from a reliable foundry?
Have you tried removing them temporarily?
Do you still have problems if you create a new Windows user account and log in with that? How about if you start in Safe Mode?
And I would run a memory checker and see Troubleshoot font problems | Windows

Calendar month view-2 days on each cell.

In calendar app monthly view, I see in each day cell 2 numbers,
day of the month and a second number, day in month week later.
example : 7 14 appear in the same cell.
I don't like this view its confusing I would like to see single number and not two(like all calendars)
How can I change it.

That has never been a feature of Mac OS X, but I believe there was some kind of third-party software that could add that capability. i don't recall what its name is, but you must have had that installed, and it either isn't installed anymore (perhaps removed as incompatible?) or is not working properly in Mountain Lion.

I want to view the output submitted by other users. I have tested it for responsiblity level in which sysadmin can view the other users request but it is labour work. Can anyone suggest to view it with less work.

Hi,
you need to understand the new RBAC concept and the involved objects. Just to mention that Grants are here specific EBS-RBAC objects you have to deal with. You need to be sysadmin and functional Administrator to define and assign those objects. I know that the metalink note is short and could be longer, but all steps are right.
If you ask mainly what you are doing by utilizing this notes, you are defining additional where clauses, internally added to the basic object (here concurrent requests) and additionally you are granting rights to get buttons enabled (log / out).

Here's what I've found on the issue:
Pantone color definitions have changed (coinciding with CS6) — they are now "Pantone+" (I think that's what they're called). The "+" apparently means they're now LAB colors. Lab colors are not properly displayed in Preview (or in Finder previews) — they display as black (as far as I can tell, in all circumstances). I'm sure it's a tad more complicated than that, but that's the gist.
Now the bad news — nobody seems to know anything about a fix or workaround (unless you convert your PDFs to process — this might be a fix for sending to clients). It causes issues for me in AI files — being able to view them in the finder (with previews) is a HUGE time saver for my workflow... when they're all black, not so much.
In my chat with a director of product dev at Adobe, they placed the responsibility to fix on Apple (assuming Apple wants to support Pantone color definitions in their OS).

Thanks, this is definitely better than clicking events one by one. I just don't understand why Apple doesn't display it in the events in the day or week view the same way they show the Location field. Interestingly, on the iPad "Day" view, the Notes field is diplayed in the panels on the left side of the screen (although not on the right side).

Allow write to list but restrict viewing the entries

We have a small application that allows people to submit entries to a list using CSOM (sp.js) and we want to allow anybody to submit entries to the list but we also want to ensure they can NOT see the entries in the list that other people have submitted.
We then want an administrator or list owner to be able to view all entries. Can we do this?

Go to your List Settings Page -> Advanced Settings.
For 'Read Access', select the radio button 'Read items that were created by the user'
And for Create and edit access, select 'Create items and edit items that were created by the user'.
Save you changes. Now users will be able to view/edit items created by them. Site Collection Admin will be able to see all items.

How to prevent viewing the Javascript code by others?

Is there any way to prevent the script written to be viewed by others?
Is there any secure way to deploy the script?
Or do we have any autentication like setting a password or some thing like that in order to view the code?

Have a look on the archive, the question was yet discussed. As there is no universal ideal solution, you have to define your own level of compromise.
A idea that was given and that I found smart althought poor security level was to make a password protected rar file. Then you can exchange money against password. Unfortunately once the code was given, your script was no longer protected from being sprayed.
But consider the utility of sharing, with all the scripts supplied freely every where, we can improve our own script and get better.
Customers that order you a script must of course pay you.

XIR2 DHTML Viewer - Fields run into each other

I the DHTML viewer, fields that run past their designated width seem to appear in full-length, which causes them to run into the next field over. Is there some formatting setting on these fields or some other way to prevent this? I'd like to use the DHTML viewer, but most of our reports do feature some amount of field clipping, and this renders the reports unreadable.

Could you please change the mode to unicast? If it works, please check the multicast settings of the network devices.

Can't line up two shapes on top of each other -they repel away with each try. Need help!

I have been using Illustrator since version 88 (1988), and I just recently upgraded from CS4 to CS5.5. I'm on a Mac intel running v10.6.8
I was trying to lock a rectangle over a circle. I'm in preview mode and couldn't see the snap to point action, so I zoomed up to 3200% and turned off preview to view it better. I made the circle first, then I made the rectangle. I selected the complete rectangle with the direct selection tool and grabbed it by the top left point and dragged it to the top control point on the circle. After letting go of the rectangle it jumped away, only a .5 of a pixel but still it wouldn't stay in place. (at the 3200% view it looks like 3/8 of an inch jump)
A slight miss alignment in PostScript can cause a mitre limit problem "down the road" if my design happens to get reduced —and besides I'm just not used to Illustrator being inaccurate.
Being that this is CS5.5, I'm hoping someone else that has experience this and has a fix. Perhaps there is just a menu turn off/on that I'm not aware of for this version...
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

We have windows xp and my dad and I have seperate usernames on the computer each with itunes, however we shared an itunes id. Now with the new itunes each other's icloud music shows up in each of our librarys. Is there a way to not have icloud music show?

Basically I don't want the icloud to show up in my library or a viewing option that lets me hide it. Everything I've tried just simply gets rid of the little cloud icon in the library. I don't want to delete the songs from icloud just so that when I'm viewing my library only the songs on the computer show.
This has been an annoying problem because like I said on my each of our seperate librarys eachothers music shows up from the icloud and we have different tastes and I don't want his stuff intermixed and playing with mine when I'm in my library.

Turn it off.

Hyper-V, NIC Teaming and 2 hosts getting in the way of each other

After my initial build of 2 Hyper-V Core server which took me a bit of time without a domain, I started building 2 more for another site. After the initial two, setting up the new ones went very fast until I ran into a very funny issue. And I am willing
to bet it is just my luck but I am wondering if any other out there ended up with it.
So, I build these 2 new servers, create a NIC teaming on each host, add the management OS adapter, give it an IP and I can ping the world. So I went back to my station and tried to start working on these hosts but I kept getting DCed especially from one
of them. Reinstalled it and remade the NIC teaming config, just in case. Same issue
So I started pinging both of the servers and I remarked that when one was pinging, the other one tended to not answer ping anymore and vice versa. After testing the firewall and the switch and even trying to put the 2 machines on different switches, did
not help. So I thought, what the heck, let's just remove all the network config from both machine, reboot, and redo the network config. Since then no issue.
I only forgot to do one thing before removing the network configuration, I forgot to check if the MAC address on the Management OS adapters were the same. Even if it is a small chance, it can still happen (1 in 256^4 i'd say).
So to get to my question, am I that unlucky or might it have been something else ?

I raised this bug long ago (one year ago in fact) and it still happens today.
If you create a virtual switch, then add a management vNIC to it - there are times when you will get two hosts with the same MAC on the vNIC that was added for management.
I have seen this in my lab (and I can reproduce it at will).
Modify the entire Hyper-V MAC address pool. Or else you will have the same issue with VMs. This is the only workaround.
But yes, it is a very confusing issue.
