In Muse - how do i create a menu of 4 pages off of a second level page?

I will check the Sub Menu for the Drop Down tomorrow (after the
Boston snow).
As to styling difficulty with the drop down -- I am not succeeding
in singling out the Text and then assigning it the State I want.
I guess that should happen on the 3rd click - right?
Same with the assignment I want with each State color container. It
seems to resist the gradients I want to apply to the text boxes.
Throughout Muse this general assignment operation I am finding moves
along in a "sticky" manner, not smooth fluid operation like AI or
PS. Is that just me or what?
I have been struggling for some time now -- but I do have my own site.

AFAIK then there is no way to do that system wide. You can only do that via userChrome.css or an extension like the Menu Editor per profile .You can install extensions globally, but the user will have to enable them anyway. That is not required for userChrome.css code.

I have just started using imovie for the first time as used to have a PC with Pinnacle for video editing.
How do i create a front menu page, so that on there, there will be various titles that the user can easily select to then jump to that chapter in the DVD?

For the Acrobat SDK, no, it is not possible because there is no API to allow developers to do so via AppleScript. Now on to the world of "unsupported".
It "might" and I do stress the word *MIGHT* be possible via AppleScript System Events, but this is in all worlds is a VERY BAD way to do things. It requires that no other applications running in the foreground and if your application loses focus for another applications dialog box (i.e. Adobe Updater, Mac OS X Software Update, etc...) you are, what some might say "hosed" because then your AppleScript no longer can execute properly. Surely NOT something to be used in a production environment.

I have very basic working knowledge of Flash and this is the first web project that I have worked on. I have a free Flash template that I have been playing around with that contains a Flash menu.

It seems like where ever I try and add the code:

in the Actions frame I get this error when publishing: Mouse events are
permitted only for button instances.
Am I working in the right area under the symbol definitions or how do I find
the button instance?

UCCX 8.5 - How do I create a menu option that overwites a prompt?

Hi All,
I'm fairly new to UCCX scripting and have a question about a way to create a menu option that overwrites a prompt.
Here is the situation, we have only one small call center. There are two scripts in play here, one is their production script. Everythign is working fine with that script. The other is a recording script. The call center supervisors would like to be able to call into the recording script and record a prompt that says something like "All agents will be out today, November 1st, until 2pm on a staff luncheon, please call back at 2pm". This would overwrite the welcome prompt on their production script. As you can see from the language above, the message would be different depending on what was going on that day. I actually have this working quite well.
The problem is that when they come back from their luncheon, or from whatever they were doing, they want the ability to revert back to the original opening greeting wav file. The way it's set up now, when they get back from lunch they'd have to re-record the whole opening greeting "Thank you for calling XXX, press 1 to be connected to an agent, press 2...".
It seems like there should be a way, a new menu option in the recording script, that would allow me to revert back to the original recording so they don't need to re-record the opening greeting every time. I've created a new folder in Prompt Managment called "Revert" and placed the orginal opening greeting there. Can anyone give me guidance on what step to insert that would in effect say, if the caller presses 3, copy "Revert/Welcome.wav" to "CallCenter/Welcome.wav"? In this case the "CallCenter" folder contains the production prompts for the CallCenter script.

     I would recommend the following configuration:
          1.) Setup a XML file that has an option called "EarlyClose" or something similar.
          2.) Setup your script with an "IF" that reads in that XML document and looks for "EarlyClose". If it's set, then play the custom closed message. If not, then play the normal message that is never overwritten.
     The second part is to create a second script that has an internal only extension. This would then allow your supervisor to dial in, and put in a PIN. Once this is done, set have the agent record the greeting. Then (and only then) set the "EarlyClose" variable in your XML document. This will prevent the user not getting the new prompt recorded and EarlyClose being set early. You can also setup the script to play back the prompt and then have the end user validate that everything is working right. I would recommend reading through the scripting guides as they have some great infomation on this type of thing and example scripts. I hope this helps you out.

How do you make a menu link to child pages instead of just top-level pages?

I want two menus on my pages - one along the top which links to the top level pages like About, Contact, Services etc. That's easy enough. I also want another menu down the left hand side which links to the sub pages under Services, but I can't find a way to do it. If you make the menu automatic it links to the top level pages. If you make it manual I can't find a way of adding the link to the sub pages I want. Any advice? I'm running the newest version of Muse on a MacBook Air.

I am afraid that there is no automated way to create a menu for the sub pages. You will need to create a manual menu and then use the hyperlink drop down to link the manual menu items to the pages. Select the menu item and click on the hyperlink drop down and choose the page.

Applications written for average users like Photoshop, Word, i.e. GUI based applications provide a 'Save' dialog box which while allow selecting second drives or any drive. The dialob box initially shown might be in the simple mode but you just need to click on the triangle to show the full set of options. You should then see the different drive names amongst other options.
If your referring to an application your writing yourself then you need to build a pathname. This can be in one of two styles depending on the programming system your using. This could be a POSIX style path or a Mac style path.
POSIX = /Volumes/volname/foldername

How Can I Create a Menu Where the Audio Loops Twice But the Video Loops Forever

I'm wanting to create a 50 second looping menu with a video background and some music, but I only want the music to play twice. After the second time the music plays, I'd like the video background to continue looping, but not have any music.
How could I achieve this while giving the user the ability to make menu selections at any time? I've seen it done on a number of commerically available DVDs and Blu-rays, but I can't figure out how to do it in Encore.
I'm using Encore CS6.

There's definately a way to do this, but perhaps Encore just insn't capable. I always find it annoying when a DVD menu loops music or some other audio infinately. I may stick a disc in the player and walk into the other room to do something while it's loading up. I always appreciate it when whoever made the disc only has the music or audio looping a couple of times, then it stops.
Just wish I could do the same.

I crated a menu portlet in 9iAS portal R2, But it is not able to expand or collaps inside the same region.
When I clik on Submenu1 it open a new window and Items are dispayed on window. I do not want that, I need to see all items in a submenu at the portal region itself, then when I clik on that Item(URL) I wiil get that new page/file as per the URL.
On the menu portel design/layout screen of Oracle9iAS portal, it looks good (with exand/collaps), I want the exact same functionality for the menu on my page region.

This is not possible with Portal right now. You can run the menu as a tree by clicking on the frame view icon at runtime of the menu in the full page mode. This is not possible on the page.
