In my "Extra" there is a line: "PDF -download, by Nitro PDF software". When I click on it, appears: "XML-parsefout .." How do I delete a command in "Extra"?

How do I delete something in "Extra", something I didn't put in! (on my desktop).
On my laptop the "PDF -download, by Nitro PDF software" doesn't figure and pdf files open normally and not seperatly in the mainframe of for example www.centrum-veurne.be

Gee, Pat, this is a real big help.
Nobody could possibly think anyone would ask for help without first trying to fix the issue oneself. Or maybe you do. I have opened the file and looked under security. I have changed it to owner-notebook (which is what the techs called me) and clicked accept but geepers it didn't work.
Maybe someone else has an idea.

I ended up being able to open some pdf files after transferring them from one partition category to another. I wish it was that easy as you seem to think.

I answered your questions below, BUT while I was searching for properties, I found the REPAIR ACROBAT INSTALLATION feature, did the repair and (Voila!) the issue was resolved!

I am using Acrobat XI Pro, version 11.0.10.32.
I did not create the file I was working in during the freezes, so I tried a PDF that I created with Adobe and it also freezes when I click on COMMENT. I did discover that the COMMENTS plug-in is loaded. (see image
I have used COMMENT for years without this issue occurring. It started in the last 2 weeks.
I could not find Properties under the file menu, but found a security setting in Preferences under the Edit menu. It did not have a way to allow/disallow COMMENT.

A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... then download the base install for Adobe Reader 11.0.
Then download each of the individual updates and run them sequentially.
I've installed back up to the last security update which is version 08 and have been able to do normal Save As operations.
You will have to disable automatic updates in order to stay at version 08 until Adobe resolves this issue in a later release.

You can turn that feature off in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Contacts>Show in App Switcher>Recents>Off.

I, on the other hand, had no brightness issues on the 4S after upgrading to iOS 6, and no change in (good) battery life. If could be something else, an app or background process that is less efficient with iOS 6? Could be anything.

I want to VIEW pdf files when I click on them (NOT save them) WITHOUT being asked everytime. I have already customized my firefox settings.

I have a hotmail email account and each time I click on a pdf attachment, Firefox asks me "What should Firefox do with this file?" Automatic actions are connected to a specific MIME type and if Hotmail doesn't send the file with a correctly recognized MIME type then the automatic action won't work.

I am trying to open a file that was e-mailed to me in the PDF format, when I click on it, the icon shows ''connecting'', but doesn't open the file are allow me to save it to my computer so I can open it with Adobe Reader, what else can I do??

My suppliers e-mail me a copy of my monthly statements which is so much better than using snail mail, but since I have started using Mozilla Firefox, I can't seem to get them to open nor will it allow me to save them to my computer. Do you have any idea why this would do this??

Have you looked at the [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]] Knowledge Base article? There are a couple of different PDF plugins listed in the article. I'd suggest you give those a shot. You might also want to take a look at [[Using the Adobe Reader plugin with Firefox]].

There is a registry key that can be edited to have IE do this. Is there a way to have Firefox pop up a dialog box asking what I want to do with the PDF file?

Long pause before a .pdf opens when right-clicking

When opening a .pdf with Adobe Reader 9.3.2 in Windows XP Explorer by double-clicking it or by right-clicking then selecting Open with Adobe Reader 9, there is a long pause (22 seconds) before it opens. If I disable then re-enable my local area network connection, these symptoms disappear for a while and the .pdf files seem to open normally (within a second or two). What could be causing this? When opening a .pdf from within the Adobe Reader program itself, the .pdf files seem to open normally whether the local network connection is enabled or disabled.

Sometimes after a Microsoft Update, doc and xls files open slowly. Apparently, Microsoft Update keeps resetting the DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) in the doc and xls file types. To fix this, I follow the instructions at the following Website:

Here are the instructions I follow for doc and xls.
If the problem is ONLY when you double-click on a file to open it. the
problem is likely due to DDE. It can be fixed by reinstalling, OR this
workaround.
Go to Control Panel, Folder Options, File Types, scroll down to and
select XLS, click Advanced, select Open entry, click the edit Button.
Now uncheck "Use DDE" and then put your cursor in the Application box,
arrow all the way to the right and put in "%1" (include the quote
marks), IF there is /dde remove it. Then OK you way out. Things should
work quickly again.
After doing this, doc and xls files open normally again. But this does not work with pdf files, it has to be something else I haven’t figured out yet. The Disk Defragmanter Analysis says I don’t have to defrag my C: drive, and the system idle process is at 98% when the file is being opened.

I received an email from my power supplier,in it I must click on bill to view,it downloads and asks if I want to open it with internet explorer or something else,so I click on firefox.All it does is keeps opening loads and loads of tabs across the top,I've tried to close them at the last count I had managed to close over 1000 tabs but still cannot see my bill.my wife had the same she tried to open pdfs and got the same problem.So how can we view without problems files we receive in emails etc,and how do I get rid off this tab multipling itself? The Output panel in cs 6, giving choice between pdf or Web gallery, is missing when I click on the Output workspace. How do I get it back?

I ended up doing the exact same thing and was just as surprised when it worked. Seems backwards and counterintuitive, and it's probably a big glitch somewhere in iOS5 and/or iTunes, but it did work.
Now, however, I have a new problem. I have a Bluetooth-enabled Garmin nuvi 2360 GPS I use in my car for hands-free calling with the iPhone. Never had any problems with connecting until after the restore last night. Now, even tho the iPhone is discoverable and attempts to connect, it always fails. Anyone know if there are issues with the Bluetooth capabilities of the phone with iOS5? I'm almost paranoid to try and sync the phone or shut it down again in case it craps out again. May take it to the Apple Store, but I've got a feeling they'll either tell me there's nothing they can do or that I have to buy a new phone, and I just can't do it right now.

I have a strange requirment, After I logged into Istore I have added some items to my cart and I am able to see the total quote, here instead of clicking on place order button I have requested for a new button when the user clicks on the button each item and respected price, total details of the quote page should open in pdf format
Can any one help me regarding this ? Did anybody worked on this kind of stuff? any suggestions will be helpful

Use the iText API .Its free.
1.Create another jsp and pass all the values to that jsp. iText will create pdf. Let me know if you need further help.

I can't download any pdf files. when i click on the file, it takes me to the download window but nothing happens. it used to work just fine before.

i can download a Word file just fine, but not a pdf file.

Nicholec91840634 what version of Photoshop Elements are you trying to download? Where are you downloading from? Have you tried using a different web browser?

IPod and iTunes say there are two apps that need to be updated but when I click into it it says all apps are up to date. Has anyone else had this issue??? And is there anything I can do to fix it??

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
