In "My Pictures" I no longer have Lightroom available

with Xpress OS and just downloaded Lightroom 1.3 from 1.0
Now I am trying to import a photo from "My Pictures" and there is no longer Lightroom listed as one of the programs in the "Open With". So I go to "Choose Program" and I "Browse" my way to "Adobe" and then "Lightroom 1.3" So I "Open", but this does nothing.
Help with any other snags I may run into by downloading 1.3 is also much appreciated. Am I better going back to 1.0, and if so, how?
Thank You.

You should launch LR first. Then in the Library module use the Import function to select the images from the relevant folder. You'll see a button at the bottom left called Import or you can look under the File menu.

Microsoft's database access technology (ADO) has a feature collected disconnected recordsets. You can open the connection, execute the query and subsequently close your connection. Afterwards, you can process your recordSet(equivalent to ResultSets).
