In need of a 2.6.18.4 kernel package

Hi,
does anyone have a 2.6.18.4 kernel package laying around? I upgraded to 2.6.19 a couple of days ago and today found out that 2.6.19 breaks rtorrent. I want to downgrade until the problem is resolved but i don't have 2.6.18.4 in cache directory anymore  :?

you can find it here: ftp://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/ibiblio/distribu … nt/os/i686

I need to upgrade an adobe photoshop cs4 extended package brought through a company. Is this possible?

It depends what you need to upgrade to.  You probably cannot upgrade CS4 to a newer Creative Suite because it is most often no longer in the upgrade path.  Usually CS5 is the minimum in the path, and the only upgrade that you could get is for CS6 since Adobe does not sell older versions.
If you would like to join the Creative Cloud then you should be able to upgrade to the special introductory plan they have for Creative Suite owners.

    Hi,
Maybe we could refer to the following Microsoft KB article for
detailed information about how to use Group Policy to remotely install software.

  • Error message - "You need to restart your computer". With Kernel Panic Logs. Please help identify the problem.

Hi, just now my computer just popped out an error message saying that "You need to restart your computer". I was able to power the iMac back (and i'm typing from my iMac). I did some research about it and it has something to do with the kernel panic..either hardware or software. Since i was able to power back my iMac, i supposed it was software-related problem? Here's the log from /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/
I'm sorry it was quite long and i have no idea how to attach the text file which i have saved. What could be the problem here? And any suggestions to avoid this from happening again? My heart skipped a beat just now.. Hopefully it was no something serious such as hardware problems..
    thank you!

Suggest you uninstall SoundFlower, LogMeIn and AirParrot and see if that changes anything.

  • Coder needed to wrap my .jar using the JavaFX Packager Utility

Hello-I am not a coder. I am looking for a programmer who is able to wrap my .jar using the JavaFX Packager Utility. I would like to upload my app to the Mac App Store also and need assistance doing that.
Please contact me for more details if you are able to do one or both of the above.
    Thank you,

Ok. Please let me know when you are able to upload the .jar I have (packaged) to the Macintosh App Store if you would. Do you need a way to contact me? I don't know if I am able to place my email or main website here, and I don't check here often. We can work out a payment arrangement. Thank you.

Turns out there were disk issues that I repaired by rebooting into Lion Recovery Mode (restart, hold Command-R during startup) and running Disk Utility. Disk Utility reported:
Volume bitmap needs minor repair for orphaned blocks
    Invalid volume free block count
It fixed both problems and the drive then verified clean.
While I was there, I also repaired permissions, though I doubt that the permission oddities were the cause of the errors.
After rebooting into normal Lion, two things happend:
Time Machine quite happily went back to work and took a backup, no issue. Several hourlies have run since then, no problems.
Spotlight did some re-indexing. This caused some hangs (spinning beachballs) at first, but it self-cleared. It definitely didn't last long enough to re-index the entire drive; I'm guessing that it needed to re-index some of the repaired sections.
So far as I know, no files were corrupted -- but the drive is about 80% free space, so odds are that the orphaned blocks were not in a critical area.

  • Need to pass a config to jrunx.kernel.JRun

I am aware of the ability to pass a jvm.config file using the
jrun binary using -config but I really need to do the same thing by
calling jrunx.kernel.JRun -start. Is there ANY way to pass the
config while starting JRun from Java?

I'm assuming there is not a way to do this but would hope it could be added to the JRun API as it seems like it would be a fairly trivial thing to add.  Any info on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Do I have to use another Client version: Is Oracle Client 10g supported on AIX 6.1.0.0 / 64bitIt would be helpful if you actually used COPY & PASTE from the terminal window.
On the surface it appears you have some sort of Operating System error.
Are you invoking sqlldr directly on the DB Server system itself?

  • Makepkg adds --as-needed in linking step and that breaks my package?

    Hi,
I maintain a PKGBUILD that produced some strange behaviour. If I manually do the steps as written in the PKGBUILD, everything works fine. On the other hand, when I run it with makepkg, the linking step fails, complaining about a lot of "undefined reference"...
I tried to narrow it down, and found that Arch adds the "-Wl,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,--as-needed" flag in the linking step, and the second part is what caused the problem. If I re-run the linking step manually, but removing the "-Wl,--as-needed", it all works. If I instead in the PKGBUILD do a
    make LDFLAGS=""
    then everything goes dandy too...
Out of curiosity, why would this happen? How can --as--needed break things?

is happening because is a bug in their building, especially at the end where the linking is done.
usually when we have a package that fails we report it upstream and until is fixed we add in PKGBUILD:
    export LDFLAGS="${LDFLAGS//-Wl,--as-needed}"

    Hi,
Does anyone have a 2.6.19 kernel package laying around? I couldn't find any.
My laptop doesn't play any sound with the recent kernels, so I want to downgrade to 2.6.19,
and also  I don't have one in the /pkg directory.
    Thanks

  • I need my custom reports to look like the packaged Oracle Reports in Apps

    Hello,
I have several custom reports developed with Oracle Developer that I am adding into Oracle applications. However, they are still using the default template(with Oracle corp image in upper left hand corner). I want these custom reports to be identical with the Oracle apps reports. Is there an Oracle apps template and/or librarie(s) that I can use to pull this off?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Oracle Apps Reports are all Character Based Reports and not Bit Mapped Reports.
So Apps Reports will not support Templates and Apps does not provide any Templates for its reports as the way Oracle Apps Forms provides.
If at all you want the same look and feel of your Custom Reports to be as Apps Reports what you can do is :
1.In the Report Module Property Design in Charatcter Units should be set to No.
2.In Layout Model ensure the Units of Measurement is set to Character.
3.In Layout model do not include any formatting like Text Bold Italics.
4 In Oracle Apps Concurrent Programs ensure your View Output is set to Text.
Once these points are considered then i am sure you will be able to see your Custom Reports as the same look and feel of Oracle Apps Reports.

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Open Users & Groups preference panel and create a new user account with admin status. Set this account as the primary startup account, then reboot the computer into this new account. See if the panics cease.
