In need of an answer desperately!
I've been trying to burn this project over a week! Initially, my ISO file would end up being larger than what Encore showed and it wouldnt fit on the BD. You guys helped me realize that a blank disc only has 22.5GB. I thought i would solve my problem by simply removing some of the video to get below the threshhold. I tried that multiple times to no avail. I finally removed enough video to get down to image size of 19.27 (according to Encore). I created the ISO and it came out again at 24.2GB and wouldnt fit on a disc. After reading the forums, i decided to change the codec from MPEG2 to H264 to reduce the size. Encore didnt show any difference in file size. I rendered all of the files BEFORE creating the ISO. 5 hours later, I checked the total size of all the rendered files (in the Transcodes subfolder, in the project folder), both audio and video, and the total wa 19GB. Confident I was in the clear, I created thte ISO adn this time the file was 30.1GB!
A few questions: How could the ISO be larger using the H264 codec and removing about 85 minutes of video? What does "Building the movies" mean if everything is already transcoded? WIll 320 minutes of 720x480 H264 widescreen video with PCM audio with max video/audio bitrate of 15Mbps fit on a 25GB BD?

Windows 7
only 5 basic menus with 19 seconds of video and audio background, no motion graphics
no ROM content
12 timelines
4 playlist
4 chapter playlist
The video was transcoded in Encore using the blu ray 720x480, 29.97i, NTSC, H.264, max 15MB bitrate

Thanks to all of you for your help. I'm giving up on this project and starting from scratch! I've learned a fw things along the way:
Chapter playlist are not compatible with blu ray
A blank 25 GB disc has only 22.5GB of free space
Build your project to not exceed 20 GB in Encore to be safe
Avoid having any blank spaces in your project and disc names. Use the underscore character instead
Ensure your video and audio files are exactly the same length on your timeline
Encode/transcode your files outside of Encore
For blu ray, use H.264 as opposed to Mpeg 2 where possible
Never promise yuor mom "you'll have the DVD tonight" !
There was one question that was never answered. What is Encore doing when it says "Building the movies" while burning an ISO?

It depends upon where you will be using it - do you need to be able to access the internet when you are away from wifi networks, and/or do you need built-in GPS (only the cellular iPads have a built-in GPS chip) ? If you get the cellular version then you don't need to activate a service on it until if/when you need it

Trying to redeem iTunes card. Was told first time purchase needs security questions answered and don't remeber setting them up to start with and I have made several purchases before without answering questions. Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES. -
I need someone to answer a few Find my Iphone App questions?
I lost my phone overseas...I got too drunk and lost it at some bar..I thought I was lucky because I had signed up for the find my iphone app on the ICloud. When I tried to locate my Iphone through the services, It couldn't find my Iphone because it was "OFFLINE" I assume it was because it was out of battery, making it impossible to find it now.
So I requested that my phone be put it in "lost mode", but since it's currently offline, it's Pending! I also added a contact number and a 50$ reward for the return of my phone, so the next time my phone is turned on and connects to the internet, it will lock and the stranger using my phone won't be able to get in to it and steal my info right?...But, seeing as my time is almost up being overseas, it seems very unlikely I'll be getting my phone back. So I might have to get a new phone!
My Question is, if I click on "Erase Iphone" now, it will erase all the data on my phone, And it won't be able to be tracked anymore, that's all fine and good. But the thing is, since my phone is currently off line, it's currently a pending action and won't erase the data unless it's turned on and connected to the internet again....SO, if I were to get a New Iphone, (I am eligible to uprgrade) it would be risky right? Because if I get a new Iphone and get all comfy with a new iphone, and someone turns on my old IPhone, the "Erase Iphone" request will commence and it will delete all the data on my old iphone as well as my NEW iphone right?
Cause I will be using the same Apple ID for my new Iphone! I can only assume that this is how it works....Apple isn't very clear on how stuff like that works.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP!You don't need to worry. It won't delete anything from iCloud or your new phone, it will only erase the data on the lost phone, and that will only happen if it ever goes online again.

Set it up with your existing iTunes account. If you are in the US when you set it up you may face some issues downloadinig (I've never experienced it but there do seem to be issues with people trying to access iTunes outside of their 'home' area.. -
I want to buy iMac. Need tips and answers
I'm considering high to purchase the iMAC 27-inch 3.1 Ghz i5 and if my question are well answered, with god grace, I will confirm my order on the launch of LION OS.
The iMac will serve the purpose as mentioned below
1. I'll be working on with Pro Logic Music Full Edition (for the purpose of composing and arrangement musics)
2. Aperture 3
3. Final Cut Express
So basically I'll be working on publications, some video and music composing and editing. So thats my main purpose.
However, I'm having consideration to upgrade
1. Is it worth it to upgrade form i5 to i7 processor? Obviously there will be increase in speed. But my question is, doest it really shows a significant speed from upgrading from i5 to i7? Can I see the processiong speed increase alotz? and if it increase, is it just little or huge difference?
2. The pre installed is 4GB, by increasing it to 8GB, will I see any significant differences, especially when working out on logic express and final cut, as i believe it needs alot of memory usage. However, does the 3 applicaiton, supports upto 8GB or what? Does it really contribute to significant of increased performance?
3. Upon purchasing my iMac, I woud like to attach another 2 units of Samsung 27 inch FULL HD supports upto 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. So basically, there will be 2 separate monitors + 1 iMac. So is it necessary for me to upgrade to the 2GB Graphics Card?? Or just leave it as 1GB. By splitting the monitors, do I really need higher resource of graphic card? i'm NOT going to play GAME. I've heard some issues, whereby when they split the monitors, there appear to be some black coverage area, and the screen size is not maximise.
4. I currenlty own a External Sound Card Powered by the FireWire 400mbps, the iMac mentioned it supports up to 800mbps, so can my external sound card support the iMac. ( This is for recording and output purpose) as I won't be using the iMac speakers, instead attaching a huge Powered Speakers to my External sound card.
5. Finally, I'm interested in purchasing the Thunderbolt Peragus Drive which can support up to 4 to 6 terabytes. So the problem and issue now is, iMac provides
1 Fire Wire - (which I will be using for External Sound Card)
Thunderbolt - 2 units, which I will be using it for 2 monitors

Yes if the way the slots are numbered result in matched pairs of memory, i.e. nothing to worry about if the Apple-supplied memory is not touched as they’ll be a matched pair; just add the two 4 GB sticks in the two empty slots.

I am sure that graphics card with 1 GB will support the three displays if you are not using the computer for gaming. If you are gaming, then you might want the 2 GB card. You can prudently call Apple to discuss if you like. -
Replacing the Hard Drive - I need a final Answer
Hi all I just purchased the new 13" Macbook Pro and the one thing I've been wondering was upgrading my current hard drive with a newer one with more capacity later on.
About a month ago I went to the Apple Store and talking to the specialist there I would be able to upgrade with no problems, but that was before the latest revisions when the battery was removable and the hard drive was easily accessible via the latch on the underside of the laptop.
Now when I bought my laptop last Wednesday I asked the Apple Store guys whether I would be able to install a new hard drive, the same question, and I was given a yes, but I'd have to swap it out with the old one in case I need any work done on my laptop. On another visit just today I asked the same question to the different guys working just to make sure however they said no because they said the general rule of thumb was that if you have to expose the logic board for any kind of upgrades or tinkering then it would void the warranty.
In the user manual Apple does give you precise directions to unscrew the bottom of the laptop and install it yourself but it recommended that you have it installed by someone at the Genius Bar, when they said themselves that they couldn't do the upgrade.
All I need is a final answer on this because I'm probably going to want to upgrade to a larger capacity hard drive in the future, most likely the Western Digital Blue 500 GB. Any help would be appreciated on the matter, I don't want to void my warranty lol.

Nothing all out "voids the warranty". If you were to look "under the hood" and put back everything correctly, you would be OK. If you mess something up, it's within Apple's rights to deny a warranty claim that's related to something you damaged. There are consumer protection laws in the US, US states, and other countries that don't allow for any kind of blanket voiding of a written warranty simply for self-servicing.

I need a clear answer - can files be sorted by file name in pse8.
I have looked everywhere in pse8 and cannot find a way to sort my pictures by file name. I cannot believe Adobe would have left this capability out of the program. I have saved my pictures with sequential file numbering. I would appreciate a clear answer so I can quit messing with this. Thanks much..
First and foremost, I must have the ability to sort by file name across folders. If PSE8 cannot do it, what's another product can do it? My friend, an expert user initially recommended me to Bridge but I haven't been able to buy or download Bridge alone, what is my best option to have that kind of sort capability without spending an arm and a leg to get that plus a bunch of other features that I don't need.
