In need of CS3

My hardrive recently crashed and I no longer have the CS3 Design Standard software to reinstall on my computer...I have my serial/license number, I just need the replacement dvd. Since Adobe is onto CS4 I can't order a replacement through them. Does anyone know where I can get this software without having to buy a new license??? Thanks for you help!

It's true...I called yesterday. They said they no longer had CS3 but I could upgrade to CS4.

Given that Adobe no longer sells DW CS3 or CS4, I don't think you'll find links to old software except through a 3rd party distributor (buyer beware).
Look at Microsoft's Expression Web if you're committed to working in ASP.net environment.

I think you're foolish to build a shopping cart from scratch. Honestly, you don't know how much you don't know until you're neck deep in it. Old Homesite user needs some CS3 customizing help

Well I finally got CS3 after using HS5.1 for the last 7 or 10 years! It is fantastic! So far so good though it is taking some getting used to...
I was hoping that someone could be so kind to help me with a couple things, I would be greatly appreciative to say the least.
First, How do I customize the toolbars? I was able to add things to all the toolbars before so was wondering if there's similar customizability in Dreamweaver. I saw a favorites tab but can I add the 12 or so buttons I use alot in there and then have that as the default tab on opening?
I used to select text and then (using a custom toolbar button/shortcut) click the div tag. I am not sure how to use the new one because it only has id or class and create new css style where I'm used to writing a style attribute/tag - (sorry if my nomenclature is off) in there myself.
I really like the new view as you go. How do you make it so when looking in design half or full the images are not in a 'selected' type state or does that mean something?
Lastly, I used to have a keyboard shortcut to do a number of things like blockquote and change case to upper or lower. I cannot find any of those! Where oh where (Brother Where Art Though) can they be?

You can save a work space after setting it up or customising it to your needs: window > workpace layout > new workspace..
On the right side, open the panel for css styles (or under window). This panel has another window for properties under it and on the statusbar of that little panel is + sign. Click on it to make a new rule. You can also right click the last css rule and then click "Edit" to go in to the css selector/properties applet or you can opt to open the css file and write the rules directly..usually you will have a tab also for the css file at the top.

Old woman needs CS CS3... Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and possibly Dreamweaver

Yes. CS5 and CS5.5 are not being sold through any legitimate channels and you’d be taking quite a chance buying them elsewhere.
Besides, AFAIK, CS6 is the earliest supported version on Mavericks but as already pointed out you’d be looking at quite a sizeable outlay for that.
The CS3 license you have would make you eligible for intro pricing on CC at $29.99/month for the first year but after that it would indeed go to $49.99/month.

Need replacement cs3 installation disc

I see others are in the same predicament - we've lost the installation disc for our CS3 design premium program and are hoping to find a copy, no longer available through Adobe. Any help would be most appreciated.

Bob Levine seems to be the helper of poor souls who have lost the CS3 disk. The company I work for has moved location - our precious CS3 discs were lost!!

Which graphics card is needed for CS3 to run on a new laptop?

Hi - I'm shopping for a new laptop and would like to install my CS3 software onto it. At the moment I've decided on a customized HP 8570P with these specifications:
1600x900 display
700 GB disk drive
2 main memory slots with one 8 MB SIMM for now with the option to increase to 16MB in the future.
My question is: should I go with the Intel HD Graphics 4000 card or the AMD Radeon HD 7570M? I plan to upgrade to CS6 in about 6 months but would really like to get CS3 up and running on the new laptop before then. The programs I use most are illustrator and photoshop. I agree with Chris.
While Intel makes good chips, their video driver support has been historically weak. Now, with greater concentration on the graphics chips, things might improve. However, until there are many reports of such support, I would stay away from embedded Intel graphics chips personally.
ATI/AMD and nVidia do a very good job, with new drivers almost every month for current OS's and cards.

Urgent Help: Need PS CS3 Folders DIR

Basically, I installed it in traditioanl chinese on my laptop, not realizing that window did not perform the installation right. I guess the wise guys that translated the official chinese copy, rather than applying the chinese language externally, thus keeping the folder/file names in english (like in my chinese version of dreamweaver cs4) decided to translate half the folders into chinese.
ha... ha...
so problem now of course... all the folder and file names that were in chinese now displayed scramble. since photoshop doesn't read scramble, i don't have default tool sets (such as gradient, all those special effects, brush sets, etc...)
Can someone send me a dir list of all the correct folder/file name in english? I guess I just have to do the painstaking task of renaming them all one by one.
OR
can someone send those files to me directly and I just overwrite my content?
OR
is there anyway to fix the problem (like forcing window to interpret those scrambles in unicode so that photoshop no longer consider them scramble?
re-install is not an option, I got on a plane and flew half way around the world before I realized the problem. so now I don't have a copy with me.

I am trying to get familiar with Adobe Flash Pro CS3 ... I have it in my classroom ... but I would like a version for my mac at home so I can better prepare. I have access to CS5 but I need the CS3. Can anyone tell me where I might get the earlier trial download ?

CS3 - Adobe Camera Raw 4.6

I just got a Nikon D300 camera and now need something to read RAW camera files.
From what I could tell, the Adobe Camera Raw 4.6 plugin was what I needed for CS3.
I did download it, but when I double-clicked on the Camera_Raw_4_6 file, it installed itself into my Photoshop Elements 7.0.
(I think Photoshop Elements 7.0 will take a later version of the camera raw file, but not sure if CS3 will)
Anyway, how do I get the camera raw plugin to install in CS3.

Yes, all the Camera Raw files were where they were supposed to be. I had a couple of Camera Raw files hanging out in temp locations and I deleted them, but it didn't help.
Then I started looking a little more closely at the Camera Raw file in the CS3 File Formats folder -- and noticed that it was a different size than the one un-zipped in my Download folder (the place where I save downloads and I did the un-zip there). The old Camera Raw file was around 9.7 MB while the new one was 10.4 MB.
Anyway, I went back to the download folder, picked up the latest Camera Raw there and replaced the one in the CS3 File Formats folder and everything works great now, both CS3 and Elements.
P.S. As I was typing this, I had a tendency to type KB instead of MB for the plugins (10 MB for a plugin, are you kidding me). I guess that shows you just how old I am -- well let's just say I was around when they invented computers -- and back when 64KB was a lot of memory -- and now 64MB is small and we are working with GB now, soon to be TB. Anyway, the other thing I wanted to mention was that the Camera Raw file in CS3 had a 2007 date on it, which was probably when I installed CS3 (couldn't find the version number listed anywhere). So the Camera Raw file was there, but probably didn't have the support for the Nikon D300 camera at that time. Everything worked on my desktop computer since I just replaced it a couple of months ago and had to reinstall everything.
Anyway, as I said, everything is working now.
IMPORTANT NOTE: And for anyone else that is having a similar problem, this is the fix. Check the dates on the Camera Raw file in your CS3 or Photoshop Elements File Format folders (thanks to the guys above for suppluying that location information) to make sure you are woking with the correct / current / right Camera Raw file.
Thanks again to everyone for pitching in on this. You led me to finding the solution to the problem and I couldn't be happier. This is the only place where a person like me, or probably anyone for that matter, can find this kind of help (personal and to the point). Sorry to make this so long..

Can't launch Phtoshop CS3 and Aperture at the same time on new iMac

Need some assistance here. I'm extremely new to the Mac world, but my wife is having trouble editing photoshoots. She does a good deal of basic editing in Aperture, but also has some actions that she uses in CS3. She always has to close out almost all of her running application before she can launch photoshop. Message window "Adobe Photoshop CS3 cannot be launched". Is this a simple RAM upgrade issue?

Do an +About This Mac+ from the Apple menu, and post back with the amount of RAM.
If it has 1GB of RAM with Leopard, Mac OS X will rely more on using its virtual memory scheme. There's nothing wrong with that, but virtual memory will use hidden +swap files+ which are written to the hard drive. If the Mac has not been restarted for a while, those swap files can get fragmented over time and the Mac will run less efficiently.
Restarting resets the swap files (starts with new ones).
My guess is it is related to use of virtual memory and those swap files; something may have become out of sync. Or it could have been some underlying OS service (needed by CS3) that was not running properly. In any event, if it does not happen too often, I would just restart when it does happen.
