In need of your assistance please, for HP pavilion DV6 7007tx

Hello,
I previously updated my bios into Insyde F.24 (see attached images) which was ok at first, but when i decided to update my graphics drivers to its manufacturers driver (Nvidia), I started to experience my HP Pavilion DV6 heating up whenever i play games.
I often check and put my graphics setting to balanced in hopes to lessen the heat up a bit.  However as soon as i play or open up a game (Fable 3, mass effect 3 and others) the fans starts to spin wildly.  To prevent my notebook from overheating i decide to exit my game after 30 minutes of playing and let it cool down first and start again.
I read some points that the update in Bios i made previously possibly has something to do with it, and am now asking your assistance if i can downgrade or roll back into my previous or original Bios.
Would it possible to downgrade?   My current Bios version is Insyde F.24.  I also searched for a Bios update at HP website and found out the current version i should be running is F.0A.  Should i run this?
Any kind suggestion i must do?
Kindly check my notebook info on below images.
Thank you alll in advance.

  • I need recovery for laptop Pavilion dv6-1235ee

I need recovery for laptop Pavilion dv6-1235ee , I need the link for the recovery or send recovery cd to my mail

If you have the recovery partition intact on your notebook, you can just press F11 during boot and it will take you to the recovery mode. Just follow the instructions to perform a recovery and it will reset your notebook back to the factory settings.
In case you do not have the recovery partiion, I would advise you to go through the following document which will help you resolve the issue:

  • Is it Possible to change the DVD drive to Bluray for HP Pavilion dv6-6176sx

    Hi All,
Is it Possible to change the DVD drive to Bluray for HP Pavilion dv6-6176sx Entertainment Notebook PC?
    Thanks

Sure it is not even very difficult. Do you just need a BR reader or a burner/reader? The replacement disk drive will be $80-120 or so, maybe a bit less. You can find them on eBay. You can use a generic one but that may require some reworking of the faceplate or just get an original dv6-6000 BR drive on eBay. Swaps out with a couple screws on the bottom; slide out and slide in the replacement. You will need new software to play BR movies, of course.

  • Blue screen with error code and I have no recovery disks for HP Pavilion dv6-1260se

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1260se with factory installed operating system of Vista. When booting up the computer, I receive a blue screen with this error message: STOP:  c000021a {Fatal System Error}.
The verification of a KnownDLL failed.  system process terminated unexpectedly with
                                                                 a status of 0x0000221  (0x007fb9c0  0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.
I do not have recovery disks for this computer.  I tried to order them but them seem to not be available.  This is my daughter's computer.  She says she started to have trouble after downloading Frost Wire (music share) and then she removed it.  We tried going back to an earlier time and that didn't help and then the blue screen with error message appeared. What do I do now?

    Hi,
Assuming your in the US, recovery discs are available to order for that model here.  That may be the best option.
You should also be able to do a recovery without the discs as well.  Take a look at this document: Recover Windows Vista Operating System Using HP Recovery, and look for the section Restore the PC to its original condition with the HP Recovery Manager if Windows Vista is not accessible.  This should allow you to recover the PC.

  • What is the latest motherboard for a Pavilion DV6-2020ev?

Hi, my motherboard on my Pavilion DV6-2020ev failed due to overheating. The current MB part number is  "574902-001"  followed by "7F0994". The processor is an i7 (1.6Ghz). Instead of getting the same board, I was wondering if there was a later MB that can work. Does anyone know? Unfortunately the dealer cannot help and will only replace with the same part number -(
    thanks,
    arjogie

The motherboard listed is the right one listed for dv6-20xx notebook. Just ensure that you download the latest BIOS update for your notebook from the software and driver download page on www.hp.com once you have replaced the MB.

  • Hi all, i need urgently your help please. My touch screen on muy Iphone 5  is not working, i dont understand as it has not been damaged at all, i dont know what happened and need urgently somebody helps me please

Please anyone there can help me what I can do??!! touch screen of my Iphone 5 is not working at all and dont understand as it has not been damage and it is only 2 months and half!! it is not an old iphone and it has not been damaged, has happened right now and cannot turn off the mobile at all. Tried to take out the nano sim as i though it will be turned off but it has not been! i dont know what i can do and i am desesperate!!! thanks All for your help!!

Removing the SIM has no affect on the power of the phone. It is just the part that facilitates connecting to your carrier. Try holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo on the screen and then release the buttons. The phone should reboot. You may need to hold the buttons together for 15-30 seconds.

  • Tecra M10 cmos battery was disconnected and now laptop is bricked. Need EC/KBC assistance please

    Hello,
I had to do a repair on my audio board and unfortunately I had to disconnect the cmos battery and remove the motherboard to do the repair. Now once powered up the "on" light will blink once green followed by 2 orange all day long and nothing else happens (the fan does run full speed). I downloaded the service manual and found I will need to use an EC/KBC disk to repair the bios via an external floppy drive. I have had no luck finding any such disk or info. The display is totally blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The model is a Tecra M10 - PTMB0A-00M001

You're more than welcome. I'm sorry I'm not going to be able to help you with the specific detailed instructions you need to resolve your problem. But, I hope I can point you in the right direction.
First off, Toshiba uses various makes of BIOS in their notebooks like Award, Insyde, etc. In fact, they even use various makes of BIOS for specific individual models. So, trying to figure out your BIOS make, from the name on the BIOS chip would help.
Next, download the latest BIOS version for your model and OS bit combination. Like BIOS v.3.3 for Windows 7 64bit. Sometimes the BIOS upgrades are OS specific, sometimes they're not. Download the file to its own directory on another computer. This may be a zip file, or an exe file that is actually a self extracting - self installing BIOS update. Next, use winrar or jZip or a similar program and extract all the files in the archive. This might be a 2 step process, eg you download a zip file and extract all the files only to find one exe file. In that case, run the archive program again on the exe file, and extract all its files to their own directory.
The files you'll need from the above should *.com files inside a sub-directory called BIOS.
Next, you need to try to find a 'bootable' BIOS update program for your make of BIOS, like an Award BIOS update USB or disk bootable program, ie NOT a Windows based update program.
Then, you can trying surfing around for the specific instructions to help you out. Try surfing these links or for something similar:
    BIOS Recovery Procedures
    INSYDE BIOS Recovery Method
Or you might want to consider paying a certified Toshiba tech a maximum of one hours labour to try to recover your BIOS for you.

  • Photoshop CS3 need image rollover assistance/save for web

I just installed Photoshop CS3, was disappointed to see ImageReady gone but not worried.
I updated an old rollover file with new wording and went to save the slices as I had always done in the past - with ImageReady, it would automatically save the file as a standard name (file.gif) and the rollover type (file-over.gif)
Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to do this in CS3 without ImageReady. I bought the design premium version so I don't have Fireworks. Does anyone know how to do this process in PS CS3?

    Misty,
PS CS3 doesn't support rollovers. So you have to:
    - recreate rollover effect in Photoshop
    - save "over" version of your image under different name
    - recreate rollover code in Dreamweaver or other HTML editor

  • What DVI-D cable please for HP Pavilion?

I have just bought a new Pavilion 500-250ea desktop + Pavilion 22xi screen.  Unfortunately the description 'desktop' seems to have been taken too literally by HP <g> - once the PS was in its storage under the desk, then the DVI-D cable supplied with the monitor was too short to reach it, so I shall have to buy a new longer one  :-(
Both PC and monitor have dual-mode DVI-D sockets, but the supplied cable was just a single mode DVI-D. Does either/both device(s) actually support dual mode, or will single mode be sufficient for the new cable?

As your HP Pavilion 22xi IPS LED Backlit Monitor only supports up to 1920 x 1080 resolution, a DVI-D single link cable is sufficient for your application.
