In pages how to i delete page templates
I have created some new temlates in pages that i no longer need. How do I delete them? thx.
Hi Jj,
The same way you delete any other files:
In the Fnder, navigate to the folder containing the file(s), select the files then either press command-delete, go File (menu) > Move to Trash, or use the mouse to drag the files to the Trash.
With templates, though, the difficult part is navigating to the folder containing the files.
It's at the end of this path: username > Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
In Lion and Mountain Lion, you can get to your Library (from the Finder) by pressing the option key as you go to the Go menu and choose Library, then follow the rest of the path as listed above.
Regards,
Barry

I have Pages 09. I have created custom templates and want to delete them. How do I delete a template I have created in Pages 09?
Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.

How do I delete my templates from Word 2011 in OSX 10.8.5
How do I delete my templates from Word 2011 in OSX 10.8.5? I cannot find user/library in the finder. Please help.
They will be in the MS Templates folder located in the MS Office folder in your Applications folder.
Exposing the /Home/Library/ Folder
Pick one of the following methods:
A. This method will make the folder visible permanently. Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and paste the following at the command prompt:
chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN.
B. Click on the Desktop, press the OPTION (⌥) button, select Library from the Finder's Go menu.
C. Select Go To Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Paste the following in the path field:
~/Library
Press the Go button. -
How can I delete a template in i-Books Author
How can I delete a template in i-Books Author. Where are the templates stored on the computer?
You can do the following to delete a template:
Delete a custom template from the Template Chooser
Click the Finder icon in the Dock and choose Go > Go to Folder.
To open the Templates folder, enter:~/Library/Application Support/iBooks Author/Templates/My Templates/
Find the custom template and drag it to the Trash.
I found that information on support.apple.com at the following link: http://support.apple.com/kb/ph2762
Hope that's helpful, I had the same issue. -

Hello,
I have saved custom templates and then revised them and saved again. I now have several I need to delete. Also, how to delete custom templates? Also, how do I delete blank pages? I hate sending pdf's with a blank page at the end. Thank you very much for your help!Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list.

How can one Delete a Template in Pages
Can any one advise me how to delete Templates in Pages on my MacBook Pro?
Not sure why one would want to delete a template?
You can close out the Template Chooser by hitting the red button.
If you go to applications>iWorks>Pages> and control click on the app>this opens PackageContents>>Contents>Resources>Templates
You can delete here. I would not advise it. I would have a back-up of your Pages.app or a system back-up incase something goes awry. -
The envelope templates provided generate a "media not loaded correctly". I made my own that works, but in the process I made and saved one that also generates the "media not loaded correctly" error. I would like to get rid of that one (or at least re-title it). I can't see how to do that.
Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. Follow that path in Finder & you can delete them like any other file.

How can I delete a template I made earlier, which i don't like?
I recently bought an iMac after years of working on PCs with MS Office. I decided to go 100% Apple, big mistake 'cos I find Pages and Numbers really difficult to get to grips with after years of working with excel and word.
I don't find the Help much help either! Sorry to winge but thats how it is! Anyway, can anyone help with deleting a template i created and no longer want?Richard,
Your profile lists your OS as 10.6.6. If you've updated, you should change that listing.
To delete a custom template, switch to Finder.app where all deletion of files happens, and hold down the Command key while you click on the Go menu. Select Library.
In the Library folder, navigate to:
Application Support
IWork
Pages
Templates
My Templates
Select the template you wish to delete and drag it to the Trash or Control-Click and select "Move to trash".

How do I delete a template in fcp x
I modified a text template from FCP X in Motion 5 and then saved it as a custom template. I now want to remove the custom template from my text template window. Right clicking does not give me this option and googling 'delete template fcpx' and other varients has not been fruitful.
Can someone please clue me in.
Cheers,Motion places those templates in your Movies folder in your Home folder.
Movies/Motion Templates/
There will be additional folders inside for the various categories like Titles, Transitions, etc.
Delete the template from there and restart FCP X to update the list. -

Delete a template in pages also how to delete a page if you have more than one
Hi how do you delete a template from pages, also if you have more than one page and you only want one how do you delete the other page.
You have to navigate to the My Templates folder in the Application Support folder in your System Library which is hidden by default in OSX 10.7.5. Hold down the option key when you click on the Go menu in Finder and all will be revealed.
A page only exists because it has content on it, even if that is an invisible like a space, tab, return or page break. Click on the page you want to clear and delete the content.
Menu > View > Show Layout/Invisibles
to see what is there.
