In Premiere Pro CC, everything plays fine, but all need rendered?

Every picture and video clip on my 6 minute timeline has a red bar above it, but it plays back regardless. Is this something I should worry about?
I'd been working on this project from another computer for a while - a newer iMac (2013) - and I just switched to my 2009 Mac Pro today. Again, everything is playing fine, I just want to diagnose this quirk.

A-ha. This is closer to the problem. I'm running an ATI Radeon 4870, which isn't on the CC list of approved cards. So a card update / machine upgrade looks like it's in order.
Though for such old hardware, I'm happy it's still functional.

Try resetting the Nano first to see if that helps. To do this, first make sure the hold switch is in the Off position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If the issue persists, connect the iPod to your iTunes library and restore it to factory settings.

Watching tv on my ipad is fine but when I airplay it to the tv from the ipad it plays fine but freezes and sticks intermittently ...

I don't understand why on the ipad everything plays fine but when I airplay it to the tv ( 1 metre away) it plays fine for about 20 seconds then the picture sticks and sound jumps....then plays normally until it freezes again.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Have you updated 12 to 12.1 yet? If not, please do so by using an opened project's Help Menu/Update.

1. Properties of source media (including file extension and brand/model/settings of camera that recorded the video).
2. Is problem restricted to one particular file in one particular project? What happens if you start a new project? What is the
duration and size of the project when performance is slow and freezing sets in? What are you doing in the program when this happens?
3. Using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
4. Does problem exist if antivirus and firewall(s) are disabled?
5. Please describe computer environment, including dating on video card/graphics card driver version. Did you install the program to the
default Local Disk C? Where are the Scratch Disks directed and how much free space there?
Lots more questions, but let us start here and then decide what next based on your reply.

Try download and install the latest iTunes 10.6.3 just reoleased yesterday and try out.

MAC: Premiere Pro won't play. Nothing happens when pressing spacebar, nor play button on timeline

Help!! Deadline looming! Nothing happens when I press play on any window or spacebar in Premiere Pro. The play button turns to stop and nothing else happens. I have also installed Premiere CS6 and everything works fine there.

Disk Utility says everything's fine, but Install disk doesn't find my internal drive as a possible destination. When I startup with Command S, I get a looping "cannot mount errno = 19" message.

Problem started when I used Tech Tool Pro 6 to "de-fragment volume". Had to cancel that process before it finished because I ran out of time. Thereafter, when I startup my machine normally, I get the gray Apple logo at first, but it changes to a prohibited symbol (circle with a slash thru it) and hangs.
When I startup holding the Option key, I can see my internal drive, but I get the same results as above.
When I startup using the MacBook OSX Install DVD, it does not find my internal drive as possible destination.
When I startup using the MacBook OSX Install DVD and then run Disk Utility, it finds my drive, allows me to "repair" and says everything is fine.
When I startup with Command + S, I get a looping error message "errno = 19" and cannot stop it to do anything else.
When I startup from Disk Warrior v4.4, it does not find my internal drive to do any repairs.
When I startup from Tech Tool Pro 6 and run the "computer check" diagnostics, everything passes but the Volume Structure, which fails at "Volume Extents (B-tree)." When I use TTP's "Tools" option to run "volume repair" it will show my internal drive and allow me to click the GO button, but nothing happens and nothing changes.
I have a Time Machine backup on an external USB drive, but for as long as the internal drive doesn't mount, I can't use the backup to restore.

It's a false report and should be ignored.
I would not rely on TT as I've already said earlier even before Grant posted similar advice.
I really think the Rigid Disk Block may be corrupted. This holds the partition map and could prevent a volume from being unmounted. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix that without repartitioning the drive which will remove everything. So, before going down this road I hope you have backups or can make a backup.
Drive Partition and Format
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X.
5. Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Is the crash/shutdown for this one specific project or does it occur in new projects as well?
On what computer operating system are you running Premiere Elements 9 and are you running Premiere Elements as the 9.0.1 Update?
In cases such as these, the first factor to rule in or out are the preferences/setting file. Here you want to delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file.
The directions to its location will vary with the operating system. So the operating system information is important to post. Some of the many factors
that we need to evaluate
a. does the problem exist with and without antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
b. are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse.
c. does your computer need a clean up/clear out - is your computer optimized
Your answers to the questions above will help us to customize and plan appropriate troubleshooting strategy. So, let us start with the above and then decide what next.

Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 Launches but ????

So premiere launches everything looks fine but then the window collapses into the toolbar and when I click on the icon I can't get it to show up. What's going on?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
16 gb ram
4.0 GHZ AMD processor

Um ... yea, that doesn't allow alot of editing time there does it?
At this point I might think of going nuclear using the Adobe CC Cleaner app to obliterate all Adobe programs, reboot, then download & install a fresh CC desktop ap, and from that one by one reinstall all the Adobe apps you've got. Don't get impatient like I did and start several at a time. You get to do it all over again ... sigh. Someone might have a better idea but this oft fixes some of these startup/crashing issues.

Youtube plays fine but not Facebook or other site videos, it says I am missing a plugin?

When I use Youtube the videos play fine but on Facebook and some other sights the videos will not play. I just get a message that says a plugin is missing. Everything works fine on IE. I just downloaded Mozilla last night.

hi Brandonacker, you probably need to install the adobe flash player plugin for those sites to show video content, which you can download from https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows exe-installer for plugin based browsers)

If you are using a Mac, simply hit Command-Spacebar to bring up Spotlight Search. Begin typing the name of the application and when you see what you are looking for, press enter. You should get a hit by the second or third letter you type. Great way to launch apps on computers that you are not familiar with.
Windows 7 and 8 should have something similar. I think you simply press the Windows key and begin typing. Press enter when you see a match.
Both Mac and Windows search tools can be customized to search for applications, files, emails and so forth. For Windows, look for Taskbar and Start Menu Properties. For Mac, go to Preferences Spotlight. Turn off items you know you won't need to speed up searches.

I want to sign up for the Photography plan but I also have a Windows Vista laptop, and that is old too so I may want to put the apps on a new desktop and a new laptop, having already installed on my desktop. You cannot have three activations. It's simply not technically possible. If and when the time comes, you simply deactivate/ sign out on one of the old systems and install on the new one. If the system goes belly up, you contact support to reset your account. No need to make it more complicated than that and overthink it.

Since I have installed iOS 6.1.3 on my iPhone 5 I have sometimes problems to start a phone call. Everything looks fine, but no ring tone... A workaround is to stop phone app in the multitasking bar. But this is more than inconvenient ;-) Any solution?

In this cases everything looks fine, but no ring tone is there and after sometimes the phone informs me that no connection can be estabilished (its a German phone, therefore I am not sure about the message in English systems). A workaround is to stop the telephone app in the multitasking bar (double click on home button, hold the app symbol pressed for some seconds, close app). Next several call work after this.
I am not sure if an incomming call would work in this mode...

I imported files from an external hard drive to Itunes on a new computer. they imported & play fine, but the ratings & playlists are gone & i am unable to update any info. I found a file name playlist on old drive & imported now most files are missing!

Can you locate the iTunes Library.itl file on the old drive? Ideally you would have simply copied over the entire iTunes folder structure from <User's Music> on the old computer into <User's Music> on the new one to transfer the library will all playlists, ratings, play counts etc. intact.
