Hmmm, I wonder if that window is hidden or off screen? Have you moved the pic window around to look under it?
Might try this...
Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...

PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

Just purchased CC2015 Lightroom & Photoshop following a 30 day free trial. All worked well during the trial but now I have subscribed to the plan and downloaded the latest LR version I am unable to zoom into the images and just get a constant 'loading' box and spinning circle. Also, the whole system is very slow - very frustrating! Any ideas? I am running it on Windows 8.

After getting an update from 10.6.8 many of my programs were no longer able to open. How can I undo the update or solve this problem another way?
Do you have a bootable clone from prior to the update? If so, roll back with that.
Are your apps that won't open PPC and do they need Rosetta? Do you need to activate Rosetta?
Have you considered reinstalling 10.6 from your install disc and then coming forward with the 10.6.8 Combo Updater, then doing software update and not including whatever it was you installed that caused this propblem?
By the way - what update was it that caused this problem? -

The wording of your question suggests you may be new to video editing, in which case the types of projects you will be doing may not be the most complex.
Please accept my apology if that assumption is incorrect.
The cheapest computer available will edit 1080p video perfectly well but if you must have the "best" you will be looking at nothing less than a MacPro.
Too many people get hung up about the equipment they use and blame it for any inadequacies . . . when the most important component is the operator. -

I can't import images, I just get a dashed frame.
I have been using iPhoto since version 1.0 and have very rarely ran into trouble. But all of the sudden I can't import pictures anylonger!
During import I can see the pictures as previews... but as soon as it is done importing I only see a dashed line as a frame. Everytime I open iPhoto it tells me that I have "x photos in my library that aren't imported." And it asks me if I want to import... When I say yes, iPhoto imports them again (as before, with preview) and makes a new album called "rescued images", but they are still empty/dashed frames.
Every now and then when I open iPhoto, it also asks me to update the thumbnails, when I click yes it is busy for a while but the problem remains.
I cant edit them, neither in iPhoto or extrenal editor. I can't show original or show file. I can't make emails out of the imported images.
The rest of the Library works fine... but nothing new can be imported. Niether draging or importing through camera works. Current version that I am using is 6.0.3.
Please help me!

i would ideally like to not use all my macbooks memory either and we have an xbox so all the streaming for like netflix we can do on this. I guess thats why I'm wondering if it is a better idea and if it is possible for us to just utilize an external hard drive. And if we do that will i have more space on my computer?

copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music or media folder) from <MacintoshHD>/users/<yourname>/music on your Mac to the external, then launch iTunes while holding the option (⌥) key, click on choose library when prompted, and select the iTunes folder on the external.
if I already have my iTunes going to the incorrect files how is it going to find the correct files again.

I installed Mavericks to my computer and iPhoto isn’t working it has a grey no working symbol over it. So I tried to download the new version of iPhoto but it starts to download and just gets to 10.2MB and starts all over after about 3 mins of doing this it comes up with an error message saying an error had occurred. I have tried downloading several times restarting the computer and downloading and still get the same thing over and over again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

After upgrading to the latest version of FF, I can no longer access any webpages. The IE browser does work though.

I keep getting error "13019" when trying to sync my Nano iPod 6th generation. The fixes listed in "Troubleshooting" haven't worked, any solution.

Not possible, and since the Restrictions Passcode is included with your iPhone's backup, you must restore the iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup. -
I am currently deployed near russia, we have internet and everything else works, but when i loaded my redeem card to my acct (which took just fine) it tells me to update my information. upon trying to do this it tells me to go to support page......that does not help, i just want to use the money that i loaded on my acct.
