In Reminders, I cannot set it to remind me when I leave or arrive a location

When i set a reminder, I do not have the option to have it remind me when I leave or arrive at a location. Before the update, I could do this.

I set a reminder for when I leave my home address, and the reminder never happens. I think this is because Apple thinks my home address is somewhere else, and I am not "in it" to begin with, so can't leave it. Duhhhhh...
I never had a problem with iOS5 and Google-maps-data, so it must be the Apple braindamaged maps.
I used to work for Nokia maps in a joint venture, and maps are VERY hard to do well. Apple arrogance there, I suspect.

If you have more apps that will fit on 11 screens, the ones that aren't showing can only be accessed by search. Connect your iPhone to iTunes and rearrange your apps. You'll be able to see them all that way.

Reminder app - remind me when i get home doesnt work?

In the commercial for iPhone 4S, it shows the new app “reminder” in use. Where you can make it remind you when you ie. come home. I have a 3Gs, however I don’t seem to be able to get this function to work. (And yes, I have activated it in “settings"). Is this just a 4S function? or??

I am not sure if this works on the 3gs, but it certainly does on the 4 so I don't see why it shouldn't.
Just go into Reminders, setup a new one and click Remind Me. You should then get the option to choose where you are reminded.. for example, remind me when I arrive home or remind me when I leave work.
It may be worth checking you have a home and work address configured if required.

You are probably not connected to wifi. If you want to, you can sign up for 3g through Apple (I believe) or your mobile carrier. Hope this helps!

Cannot change calendar default reminder setting

When my calendar reminder pops up it gives me the option to end the reminder or snooze for a preiod of 5 mins. This is far too short so I went to Calendar, Options, General Options and under Actions set the Default Reminder to 15 min and saved the change.
When a reminder pops up the snooze time is still 5 minutes despite the change I made. Very annoying !
What can be done to set the reminder time to anything other than 5 mins ? Have I changed the wrong field, or is this a bug ???

I would try doing a clean software reload on your BlackBerry.
Be sure to back everything up as the process listed in KB11320 will delete all your user data and reinstall the applications only.
Before restoring any data, test the Calendar. Change the settings and try making a new appointment.
It's recommended to do a selective restore of your data. KB10339 will walk you through the restore process.
Let me know how yo make out.

How can i set a task/reminder from an email?

Hi all, I have a 64gb iPad 2 running iOS 5.1 which work have supplied me with, I'm an apple n00b but am quite experienced with Windows. My mail is synchronised with the office server and I can access that on my Windows laptop or my iPad.
When I receive a new email that I need to either reply to or perform an action in order for it to be considered complete (ie not just a FYI email that I can file away), I can set this email as a to-do task in Windows, set a coloured reminder to the email, flag the email with a reminder to pop onto my screen etc at a later date - ie loads of ways to highlight to me that this needs to be actually actioned but there doesn't seem to be any way of doing anything with the embedded email program other than mark it as unread.
At the moment I'm resorting to creating a subfolder called "To do" and manually moving these emails there for the minute but setting a reminder or task, which I've had the ability to set on Windows Outlook since the 90's, seems impossible on the iPad. Other than this my only options seem to be marking the email as unread or going to the reminders app myself and type a 'manual' reminder referencing this email.
Is there any way, or app, that I can either create a reminder/task straight to reminders from the email or, at the very least, do something to differentiate it from the rest of the emails in my inbox (even highlighting it in a colour would do)?

This is an extremely vexing problem and I would like to know if anyone has a solution please. Here is my situation:
Using standalone (simply my home one not connected to network or exchange) Outlook 2007 (soon to upgrade to 2013) on PC - Windows 8.1. Have an iPhone 6. Want the closest possible functionality (particularly categories, reminders, etc.) on my iPhone for my standalone Outlook. The only thing I have found close is DejaOffice and Companion Link (which work together). I am seriously considering as appears a close mirror image for all things I do, but they don't have email. So, can someone please give me either a) a better comprehensive application/solution; b) a separate 3rd party email app that will allow me to flag an email, on either computer or iPhone with perfect sync, as a reminder without having to create a separate task; or c) your best/closest solution set to be as seamlessly productive as possible using either native or 3rd party email app and your :"manual workaround." Can I set a reminder for when I arrive in a city?

Here's the problem...We were driving several hours back home and I figured it would be helpful to set a reminder to perform an errand when we got back to the city. So I asked Siri and she wasn't having any of it. I figured she just was being glitchy. So I tried to manually set a reminder for when I arrived in the city.
i.e. Remind me to pick up the dry cleaning when we get to Portland, Oregon.
But it turns out, as far as I can tell, you can only use locations in your address book for Arrive/Depart reminders. So I can ask it to remind me when I get to my house or to a specific address, but not when I get into the city...
Have I missed an option somewhere? It seems like it would be very easy for the iPhone to figure this out and yet...

By "path", I assume you mean "classpath".
The simplest way is simply to include the jars you need inside the web application or web module's WEB-INF/lib directory, EJB module's META-INF/lib directory, or EAR lib directory.
If that's not practical, if you use NodeManager to start your servers, you can go to the "Server Start" tab in the server definition in the WebLogic console and edit the "Classpath" field, which defaults to no value. You can specify a classpath value there. Note that if you specify a value there, it REPLACES the default classpath for the server, it doesn't add to it. If you need to just add to it (a much more likely scenario), if the value references the value "$CLASSPATH" in it, that will reference the original classpath value that the server would have had.
So, for instance, if you wanted to include the MQ jars in the server classpath, you could set a value like this:
/usr/java/mq/lib/mq.jar:/usr/java/mq/lib/mqstuff.jar:$CLASSPATH

BUG: Default reminder set in Live cal. even when specifying Reminder=None in Outlook 2013

Since switching from Outlook 2010 to 2013 I have been getting calendar apointment alerts on the Windows Phone and iPad linked to my Live account, even though I am creating appointments specifying no reminder.
After a lot of investigation, I can see exactly what the problem is. I have created many test appointments and exported from Outlook and examined the resulting file.
If I have asked for a reminder, "Reminder on/off" is True and specified reminder date/time is present.
If I have asked for NO reminder, "Reminder on/off" is False *but* reminder date/time is present based on the Default reminder setting. This occurs even when the tickbox for Default reminder is unticked (and there is no default setting
for None apart from unticking).
When that appointment reaches my Live calendar, it appears with a reminder, based on the date/time that Outlook 2013 has supplied, even though "Reminder on/off" is False.
Is this a bug in Outlook, which surely shouldn't be putting default reminder date/time into the data when Reminder is set to None.
Or is it a bug in Live, in that is should disregard any reminder date/time if "Reminder on/off" is False?
The reminder does not pop up in Outlook, although it does on sync'ed devices.

Based on my long-time research, seems it’s the default behavior of Windows phone. The reminder is set to 15 minutes by default and it’s not possible to change the setting by default. See:

Ability to set a program reminder

An unannounced change in upgrading to Fios Quontom is the loss of the feture to set a program reminder in the guide. Does anyone know if this will be restored at a future date or if this feature has been permanantly dropped.

I cannot believe that this feature is gone. I was told nothing of this by the rep convincing me to "upgrade" to Quantum TV. This is a feature that I use constantly. I came to this board hoping for a good answer. What I see is that it was supposed to come back in May, however it is August when I have just changed over to Quantum, and I don't have it. I am NOT happy. There are other features missing also, but they would be off-topic for this forum, so I'll have to keep looking for them elsewhere on the forums,

In FrameMaker 9.0.3 and 9.0.4, I cannot set tab stops for a style in the paragraph designer. Here are the steps to dysfunction:
1. In Paragraph Designer, for Tab Stops, click Edit. Edit Tab Stop dialog box opens, and the Paragraph Designer dialog box closes.
2. Type value in New Position box.
3. Click Continue. The Edit Tab Stop box closes.
4. Open Paragraph Designer. No tabs are recorded.
Discussion of a similar problem occured on this forum in June 2010. At that time, the resolution seemed to be to upgrade to 9.0.3. Has anyone else encountered this problem with these versions?

When I click the iCloud button I get a browser with check boxes, not slider buttons and it does not have a "backup and storage" button. So I cannot set up backup.

When I open my iCloud browser it looks different than "normal." It shows the list with check boxes, not slider on-off buttons. It dos not show a "storage and backup" button so I cannot set up my backup. What is wrong?

If see something like the image below it's because you are looking at the iCloud settings on your Mac, not on an iOS device (which has sliders). Storage & Backup isn't in the Mac settings because you cannot back up your Mac to iCloud. Only iOS devices can back up to iCloud. On a Mac, you can get information about your iCloud account storage by looking at the green usage bar at the bottom and by clicking the "Manage..." button on the bottom right.

When I try to create a calendar announcement in my iCloud calendar thru my PC / Outlook, it says 'the set of folders could not be opened. The information store could not be opened'. Can anyone help? This means I cannot set any calendar events thru my PC.

If you upgraded to Windows 8 you may need to update the iCloud control panel for Windows to version 2.1 (see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4463).

Cannot set Windows 7 default printer in Boot Camp

I discovered today that I cannot set a default printer in Windows 7. I right click, and try to make one of the printers default but there is no check mark. One of the programs that I use says I do not have a printer installed.
I can print to my printers using Word by selecting the printer that I want but cannot select a default in control panel.
If I access Windows programs using a VM Fusion, the program that says there is no printer installed in boot camp, does not give be this message and I can select a printer. BTW, I have never been able to select a "default printer" using VM Fusion.
The only thing unusual is I had to reactivate Windows for no apparent reason last week and I cannot select all of the Themes available in the personalize menu.
It is difficult to pinpoint when the printer issue started because I mainly access my Windows programs through VM Fusion. I am guessing the changes happened when I had to reactivate Windows
I am away from my iMac currently and was wondering if anyone has experienced this and/or have a suggestion.?

Update.
Apparently this is a Windows Registry issue. Looks as if there is a VM Fusion driver set as default (thinprint??) I cannot delete or modify this registry key. A new profile solves this issue and I will have to copy everything over to the new profile, if I cannot get this registry key issue solved. I will post on a Microsoft board to see if there is a solution.
