In Roles Menu only Tcode Description is showing instead of Tcode Names.??

Hi,,
When tring to see all tcode by their name assigned to user in a Role ,only description is coming instead of Tcodes names.
Please help me to get Tcodes name with their description in Role Menu.

Hello,
Goto to PFCG tcode, put the role you want in the roles field and enter into the role by clicking the Display or Change button.
Now you will be in the Description tab, switch to Menu tab and here you will see the Tcodes with descriptions, now in the Menu tab, you can see a button called switch technical names. This button will be like the search button in Windows, a glass with handle.

SID Showing instead of friendly name after renaming the server

I had to rename a windows 2012 R2 server and after I rename it, Sever is showing SID instead of user friendly name.
Even when I try to add new domain group or user in any resourse of this server, the friendly name disappear, soon after I hit apply button.
So far I have done the following
disjoin/rejoin - same result
disjoin >delete AD account > Rejoin - same result
I confirm that I have see the new server name in AD. DNS is OK too. Could find anything (i think) related to this problem.
I can see the following errors
1. The server {9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout. EVENT ID 10010
2. The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not determine if
the user and computer accounts are in the same forest. Ensure the user
domain name matches the name of a trusted domain that resides in the
same forest as the computer account. . Event ID 1110
3. Netloon server could not add the autZ RPC interface. The service
was terminated. the following error occured. " Not enough sesources are
available to compete this operation Event id 5820
4. The UAC file Virtulatization service failed to start due to the
following error: This driver has been blocked from loading.Event ID 7000
I have not deleted the computer account in the second time. Then
rejoin but this time i didn't get the message but the issue with SID
showing instead of friendly name is still there. These are related , i
can see
I can see the server in the domain and DNS also updated.
When I run GPReuslt, it shows

I feel like, something is blocking the user-friendly name to display in that server. I could be wrong.
I have also noticed that Netlogon service is not running. Try to run, it gives error Error 1721: Not enough resources are available to complete this operation.

Would you please tell us that are all user names displayed as SIDs, or only some of them after you renamed the server?

Role Menu in WAD is not showing reports as per the role attached

I am using one role in the "ROLE MENU" web item in Web Application Designer(WAD).
But, its not showing the reports attached to the role used in the WAD.
What is the problem even if i am mentioning the correct role name in the properties of ROLE MENU.
Please help me out.

Go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive> Is your phone number checked there? If you do not want your email used, then tap on them and remove the checkmark. If there is no checkmark by your phone number, then turn iMessage off, perform a reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Turn iMessage on. When it activates, check your settings again under Send and Receive and make sure the number is checked and the emails are not.

SM2012R2 MP Authoring property shows instead of class name when selecting class

I went ahead and created a new Management Pack through the authoring tool and defined a new class (base Service Request) labeled UserOnboarding. This class has around 10 different properties including firstname, lastname, mobilephone, etc
When I go import the MP into Service Manager and choose to build a new Service Request and choose to brows the classes, the class name actually appears to be one of the property fields such as MobilePhone instead of the actual class name UserOnboarding.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

SCSM requires some time to populate a table with translations. Then console's restart heal the issue.

I need to show views in the Role Menu

Hi all
I have seen many posts saying that the role menu doesn't show query views. But is there any way to enhance the classe CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_MENU used for the role menu to make it also able to show views. I'm looking at it, but to be honest don't know where to start.
Please can anyone help.

You can't place bookmarks on a new toolbar. You can only place a bookmark on the toolbar that has the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" on it.

Mass role creation and addition of tcodes to role menu

Hi Folks,
We've a requirement of building 1000's of single roles for an implementation. Our security matrix is ready with the role names and the list of tcodes to be embedded in each of these roles. What I would like to know is if we can automate a part of the process of role building i.e the following 3 steps only.
1. Creation of the Role
2. Addition of the tcodes in the role menu
3. Save
I'm aware of Ecatt/LSMW through which we can create the roles but i'm not sure if we can add the tcodes to the menu of the roles since the number of tcodes to be populated in each role will vary.
Could anyone of you shed some light if it is possible to automate the addition of tcodes to the role menu taking into consideration that each role will have different number of tcodes to be added to the menu and what's the best possible way to achieve this if there exists one.

Whilst I agree that there are probably too many roles being built here, which is more of an issue with the role design / strategy, the issue of how to easily create a role for a given list of transactions is something that SAP supports via the import menu from text file option in PFCG.
Yes you may need to write a script to cycle through all the possible role names, but we have recently had to build some roles based on actual usage, so exported transaction usage history to excel and then formatted the transactions into text files that could be imported to build the role menu.
You will still then need to ensure any object authorisation object have the correct values set - i.e. not just starred in - but as one of the pains in build a role is getting the menu to look reasonable, I'd suggest having a look at this approach.
Copy Menus -> Import from File is the function in PFCG in the menu tab for the role you are building
OSS note 389675 has details of what the text file of transactions for the menu should look like.
That should answer the question posed, rather than criticising the role design being followed.

When you have iPhoto and Contacts open and try to drag a picture for iPhoto to the Contacts photo frame do you get a + symbol? if not you should! from there the the pop menu should appear and then you can select the picture and click on done

Spy menu only showing some items and properties not available

I am having some issues with the spy menu. In order to try and fix my issues I built the menu from scratch again on one of my pages. Everything works now on that page and when I upload it to the server, it is all there.
However, when I then copy and paste the menu to all the other pages and upload the the server, the submenu doen't show anymore. When I go and troubleshoot it and highlight the menu in its entirety and click properties, no properties will show. On the working page, this ation delievers me a properties bar where I can + or - menu items. Why is this? As this must be why the submenu is not showing either?
The page where everything works is this (See sub menu under coaching clinics) http://www.golifecoaching.com.au/go-beyond-registration-test but on every other page on this website, this submenu disappears.
Can anyone help? I am tearing my hair out and don't fancy having to build the menu from scratch for every page. There has to be a better way.

Disclaimer: I am new to coding in general and this is my first attempt to help someone.
I think the properties bar with the + - has to do with the javascript coding that is generated when you create a new tag, and it is located near the bottom of the page just before the closing body tag.
looks something like this:

so dont forget to copy that over too. Also, check the CSS that is associated within each page and make sure they are all in the same style.
P.S. Have you considered using a template for the menu bar so you dont have to copy it over each time?

Role Menu

Hello All,
What we are trying to do is to Web Enable a Z Transaction in BW 3.0b. We have a transaction
ZXXX and included that transaction in the role menu. The role menu also has other BW Web reports attached to it.
When we execute the link for role menu, it shows only the BW Web reports and doesnt show this ABAP.
(Note: We are on BW 3.0b that has an architecture that is on WAS like SAP 4.7)

Pradeep,
The role menu shows only objects that can be executed over the web. The transaction cannot.
You will need to work with ITS and put in the URL to access the transaction through ITS in the role menu to make this work.
Other option is to develop a BSP application around the transaction.

Role Menu in WAD 7.0

Hi,
There used to be Role Menu in WAD 3.5. In this role menu one can assign various PFCG Role with WAD Reports in menu.
I do not see this Role menu in WAD 7.0.
Can you please advise?

Hi UR,
Not exactly. The role menu in 3.x is just used for showing the roles with links to their queries, web templates, reports, etc. We just kept using the original 3.x web template to show all roles. When you open a query in that role menu, it takes you to a 7.0 report. So upgrade all queries and templates to 7.0 and keep using the original 3.x template with role menu. The only thing you do need to do is reassign the 7.0 queries to the roles via the 7.0 query designer. The link to the report in PFCG determines the standard web template that is used to display the query. If you don't update that link the 7.0 query will appear 'old' when opening.
I hope this makes any sence, of not lett me know, I'll talk you through everything you need to do.
