In Safari, no Bookmarks menu for a managed account???

Hi, all.
Is there any way to have a Bookmarks MENU for a managed account, not just the Bookmarks Bar?

Recently installed 4.0 in 2 computers & noticed that the Organize Bookmarks option in the bookmarks menu is missing.

In Firefox 4, using the Firefox button:
*click on the word "Bookmarks" will display the Library window (old: Organize Bookmarks, new: Show all Bookmarks)
*click on the arrow to the right of the word "Bookmarks" will display the drop-down list (like the old "Bookmarks" on the Menu Bar; and "Show all Bookmarks" is shown there which will also open the Library window)
The structure of the menu has changed and some of the wording/descriptions changed by the developers.

Safari 6 dropdown menu for switching search engines gone? Nooo!

Safari 6 no longer has dropdown menu for switching quickly between search engines? I know how to set/change the default search engine but I like/use some features on Google and others on Bing. I do research all day - this stinks! (They got rid of the snapback feature too. Are they nuts? The Reader feature is nice, but doesn't make up for losing these other things - would go back to previous version if it weren't such a PITA to do it)
Is there a quick workaround - something faster than loading the alternative search engine main page and inputting search field info all over again?

Safari Yosemite - Bookmarks Menu

Hi there,
I just wanted to know if anyone else was having this issue, and if there is an immediate solution. If I click the address bar, the bookmarks menu comes down as expected. When I continue to write something in the search bar (leading to a Google search), the bookmark menu remains on the screen (which is understandable, this isn't the problem). However, when I hit enter, I'm presented with my search in Google, but the bookmark menu is still ever-present.
I know you can close the menu with Esc, but this is quite a nitpick-y annoyance of mine. Does anyone have any answers?

Weird - I dont remember seeing this glitch. Ok I know its a hacneyed solution but does the behaviour go away on a reboot, and do you have any Safari extensions loaded?

No configuration menu for transaction management

I'm using SAP 4.7, in BTE application indicator, I already select EA-FIN, IHC, RM, TR-TM, but in SPRO, I can use search function to find the configuration path, for example "assign flow type to update type", when I double click, it shows nothing.
under IMG\treasury, there is only cash management, liquidity planner, market data available, where is my transaction management and risk management, how to unhide these treasury configuration, thanks

Screen validation for funds management account assignments

Dear Experts,
I am having the requirement that, functional area has to be displayed based on the budget structure. We are using Fund, Fund Centers, Commitment Item and Functional Area. When user posts the entry all the functional areas are displayed. In this case, user is asking, in the F4 option only functional area relevant to the GL Account has to be displayed.
Can anyone help me; Is there any other way to achieve this requirement?

'only functional area relevant to the GL Account' what you mean? it's about addresses(where commitment items derives from accounts). And in which transaction do you need it?
You need to create own search help. In required field(for required transaction) find out which Search help is using(eg in some cases its COBL_EX_FKBER), so you need to enhance it

Unable to delete "Bookmarks Bar & Bookmarks Menu"

I synced my bookmarks with IE for the first time and then I decided to sync Safari bookmarks which was successful but now I am left with two empty and useless folders called "Bookmarks Bar" from Safari and "Bookmarks Menu" from IE which I am unable to delete or move to the bottom of the Bookmarks menu. This is inconvenient, unsightly and takes up space.
Can anyone tell me how to remove those folders? And are Apple aware of this error?

It's not an error, per se. These are default bookmark folders on in Safari, and thus are transferred to the iPhone when you sync Safari bookmarks. If you are still syncing Safari bookmarks, they will always be there, and you cannot alter that. If you no longer want to sync Safari bookmarks, are the folders in your IE bookmarks? If so, delete them from there. Then, in iTunes in the Info tab (with the iPhone connected and selected in the devices list), scroll down to Advanced Options and check the box to replace bookmarks, then click Apply.

Safari doesnt load for all user accounts.

Hi all. I have a PC with Windows Vista. I have three user accounts, myself and my 2 children. Safari will work fine as iternet browser on my account, but will not open net page on either of the other accounts. Internet explorer works fine on all 3 accounts but Safari wont load pages for the childrens accounts. This has only happened recently, but im not sure if my children have done any updates. I uninstalled Safari and reinstalled, but no improvement at all.
Can anyone help please?.

1. Open a Finder window.
2. Press Command-F.
3. Under the toolbar, click on the button that says "This Computer" next to the word "Search:" so that it says "Search: This Computer". "This Computer" is probably the second option after a button for your User Name.
4. Type "Safari.app" without the quotes. It should show up and start searching. If it doesn't, find the text field to the right of the screen, type "Safari.app" without the quotes, and wait a while.
5. Select the most reasonable option (if there is more than one, you can double-click to open each until you find the right one).
6. Look at the bottom of the screen. It should tell you where the file is. For it to work properly, it should be in "Macintosh HD\Applications\" or simply "\Applications". If it isn't, move it there.
Alternatively, just redownload Safari from Apple's website and install it into the correct folder. When prompted, select Macintosh HD from the list of install locations and wait for it to install. Hope this helps!

Safari Crash - Safari won't start for specific user

Hi all, for a specific user on the system Safari won't start, the crash report is pasted below. Safari starts up fine for the Guest account and admin accounts. The user in question has a network home folder mounted on our server using AFP - not sure this is relevant though really.

Hi all, for a specific user on the system Safari won't start, the crash report is pasted below.
Safari starts up fine for the Guest account and admin accounts.
The user in question has a network home folder mounted on our server using AFP -
not sure this is relevant though really.

Safari 4.1 & 5 appear to have a bug causing Safari to crash at startup for networked home users -
a good work-round is to disable webicons or create a local link to the file/folder, or to force Safari to store the icons locally...

Creating management accounts for protected accounts and groups in Active Directory

I'm following step-by-step instruction for creating management accounts for protected groups that I found in Microsoft book "Best Practise for Securing Active Directory", published april 2013.
What is confusing me is the "Enabling management accounts to modify the membership of protected groups" step. When I use DSACLS command:
Dsacls "CN=AdminSDHolder,CN=System,DC=MyDomain,DC=com"/G
[email protected]:RPWP;member
what I have to type insted of "member".
When I use previous command with simple "member" at the end I dont get this:
Verify that the account has been granted only Read Members and
Write Members permissions on the DA group, and click OK.
My account have flag on all properties.

Changing desktop picture for managed account

I would like to change the desktop picture in my daughter's managed account.
I am using 10.5
In a standard account, one opens the system preferences and goes to the 'desktop and screen saver' and in the 'desktop' part the picture can be set.
However, for a managed account, there is no system preferences available. Even in the full finder is run there is no access to any of the system preferences.
I have tried logging in to the administrator account and setting the picture from there but there does not seem to be any option to do this.

Hi,
You don't see the System Preferences in a managed account because "System Preferences" is an application and by default it is not included in the managed account.
To allow System Preferences in a managed account, select the account in System Preferences (when you are in an administrator account), click the "Parental Control" button, under "System" tab, choose "System Preferences" where it allows you choose applications.

Osx 10.7.4 safari 6.0 when I add a new bookmark to the "bookmarks menu" it is added somewhere in the middle instead of at the end of the list. this just started a few days ago after an update. Has anyone else noticed this?.

Just for those who are interested, this is what cleared the "bookmark menu" trbl I had.
Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Bookmarks, then reselect it.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a bookmark again.

SAFARI - Bookmarks Bar & Bookmarks Menu

I don't rember if both of these folders existed on my virgin phone or if they came down with the sync but how do yuo delete a Bookmark bar which doesn't exist on iphone safari?
Also how do you create folders on the iPhone?

Just been pondering this myself. I've decided not to sync my bookmarks (having checked the box to allow Safari Bookmark syncing when I first bought the iPhone). I'm creating a new folder structure for bookmarks on my iPhone. However, I'd really love to get rid of the Bookmarks Bar and Bookmarks Menu folders. Clicking on Edit brings up the round delete icon next to all the other folders apart from these two and the History folder! Actually I wouldn't mind deleting the History folder as well, as I never use it. I thought perhaps I'd be allowed to delete these folders once I unchecked the Safari Bookmarks syncing in iTunes, but I still can't get the option to delete them. Anyone know if it's possible? Or is it a feature?

I have followed instructions for importing favorites from Internet Explorer, but they do not show up in Bookmarks menu as shown in the support instructions.

I just downloaded Firefox 3.6 and followed the instructions for importing Favorites from Internet Explorer. Firefox said the import was successful, but the Favorites do not appear at the bottom of the Bookmarks menu (below "Mozilla Firefox") as shown in the Support instructions. Where can I access my Favorites?

You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).<br />
If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
* Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
* Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File
