Nothin visible under SAP Management console\content root

Hi,
I have installed 2004 sneek preview...It was working fine...But in the last 2 days the IP of the computer in which it was installed changed twice...and now nothing is visible under SAP Management Console->content root...
Could u tell me what could have happened to the system...and a possible way to fix it??

Hi,
1) Goto usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\run\sapstartsrv.exe
2) Click on sapstartsrv.exe
Specify SID, Instance number, sap profile path and click on ok.
Then you can be able to see instance details in MMC

The gap analisys is the analisys on what are the difeerences between actul system and what the customer want to develop.
Gap analysis is some thing which is there in the business scenario but not available in the SAP process model.
Business blue print is the document containing Q&A database this is the second step in ASAP methodology.

This runtime analysis tools allows the ABAP/4 programmer to trace the tables used by the SAP dialog/reports programs. In the Analyze button, you can see four more buttons like:-
Hit List
Displays the execution time of each statement in the program.
Tables
Displays the tables accessed during run time.
Group hit list
Displays the execution time of all the statements and grouping them based on the type of command. e.g. performs, SQL and internal tables used.
Hirarchy
Displays the execution time of each statement in the actual order in which were executed. Uses indentation to indicate the level of nesting of statements within subroutines.
Any tables use by the transaction or program can be easily trace with the runtime analysis tools.
Go to transaction SE30
Type in the transaction code you want to analyze
4.6x
In the Restriction section: select the TMP -> Temporary variant
Click the Change button
Click the Duratn/type
Select None for Aggregation
Save the variant and execute again
After finishing the process, click back to SE30
Use F3 to move back to the initial screen of SE30
Click the Analyze Button
Click Goto -> Object-centered hit list -> Database tables

                In FInancial Accounting , Period is during time that you post G/L account and you have to close period after end of period and you will see the balance each G/L Account in each period.
                 There are 12 normal period and 4 special period (normal case , but can be changed by configuration ). normal period are Jan , Feb ,...Dec and Special period are the extended period that use for posting in special case .For example if you close period in Dec and you have to adjust G/L Account by auditor checking , you can post G/L Account to special period . special period are 13,14,15,16. 12 may use for Audit , 13 may use for changing after Sending to audit and found something mistake . that 's sample.
              normally there is posting date to control the period (BUDAT) in the table BSIS. if the posting date is in the during time of period , we can say this posting is in that period .
posting date : 03.09.2007            period : 09
posting date : 30.11.2007            period : 11

I wanted to come back and update this thread in regards to CreateJS and 'root' It seems that as well as using this.parent.play(); exportRoot.play(); also works.
I am however struggling to check variables on the main time line from inside a movieClip.

I have tried this.parent.animVar = 1 exportRoot.animVar = 1 but neither can check the variable on the main timeline from inside a movieClip. Any help would be appreciated.

What is root AM

Hi,
I made some changes in seeded AM (LearnerSearchAM). But I want to extend this AM and deploy the extended AM in server so extend of version does not affect the changes.
But I find there is bug in substitute the root AM .
I am not sure what is root AM ? Is root AM means seeded AM ?
This AM is for search region only. Can I sustitute this AM ?

I did as you told me and I get that the AM which I want to sustitute is not a root AM.
But I extend AM and substitute it but I find that there are not changes reflected on server.
First I take whole folder structure in my jDeveloper.
I made a new business component and add new AM and extend the old one.
After that I generate jpx file and updated in database
But still I am not able to see the changes..
When I click on about this page the AM is shown old one. So will it be new AM name?

Learning SAP Basis , What Software Do I need ?

I am looking at tapping into SAP and want to start out learning to be a SAP Administrator.
In order to learn SAP Basis what actual software do I need to download, where to download it ?
If I could setup and configure the server side it could lay down a foundation to learn some more of the modules.

Its is a very good place to start, but I dont think, SAP is kind of Software you can learn by ursefl and master it, you need a proffessional training.
Even installation requires more shopsticated knowledge about SAP, like installing the instances in sequence like (Database software(with out inbuit DB), Central Instance, Dialog Instance and so on).
If you are very serious about making a plunge into the world of SAP then training is a must.

In SE30, u can see perform analysis. it consists of two parts.
1. Reording performance data
2. Analyzing the performance data
1. Reording performance data :
The system measures the transaction, program, or procedure, and writes the result to a performance data file.
The following steps to be followed.
Procedure:
From the initial screen of the runtime analysis transaction:
1. Enter a transaction code, a program name, or the name of a function module.
2. In the Comment line, enter a short description of the performance data file.
3. Restrict the analysis to the options that you need. Refer also to Selecting the Measurement Options.
4. To start the measurement, choose Measure runtime.
5. Run the transaction, program, or function module as normal.
6. Return to the initial screen of the runtime analysis transaction.
To do so, either leave the transaction, program, or function module as normal, or start the runtime analysis again.
2. Analyzing the performance data
The analysis overview contains general information about the performance of your program.
It displays the overall runtime of the program in microseconds, both in figures and as a bar chart, as well as telling you how much memory each particular modularization unit required.
The bar chart displays the total runtime required for
