How can I fix iPhone 4 to have instagram appear in settings - privacy - photos?

Instagram does not appear in settings -> privacy -> photos for me to turn "on". How can I fix this? I have an iphone 4 with IOS 7.1.1.
Instagram is uploaded on my iphone and I can access my account. I just can't upload photo's because I can not turn the photo feature on in settings for instagram. It does not appear as a selection under photos.

I read other posts in the community and reset my location and privacy in settings -> general. I then logged out of my instagram account and shut down my phone. After I turned my phone back on, I logged onto instagram and tried to upload a photo. The program then asked me several questions related to uploading pictures, after that I was able to access my pictures to upload on instagram!

Hello everybody,
I just updated my iPhone 5 (the normal one, no "s" nor "c") from IOS 6.1.4 to IOS 7.0 (no beta version was installed inbetween) and I have discovered that, after the update no app has got access to my photo folder... not even those which had it befor the update.
the thing is that I have no restraint so please don't sell me the old story "go to settings->generals->restraint and allow changes in the section where I can decide which apps can access to my photo folder and which can not because this has already been taken care of... Once clarified that I have no restraint that may prevent my apps to access my photo folder let's go to my question:
the point is that no apps appear in the section Settings->Privacy->Photos where I am supposed to go to switch on the green button that grants to the apps the access to my photo folder... in that menu it just appears the sentence "here go all the apps that my ask permission to access your photos" but after that sentence there is no app requesting access to my photos... the list of apps that was previously there in my IOS 6.1.4 has just disappeared...
At first I had the same problem with the localization services but after resetting the preferences and rebooting the phone the problem solved itself... I have tried it again just in case it might work also on the "photo problem" but with no success...
does anybody has the same problem that I have? How could I solve this inconvenience?

ok, so, quick update to my problem: (I solved it myself)
the Settings->General->Reset->Reset Location & Privacy as said before wasn't working, I tried everything that came to my mind with no success, I got tired of waiting for help and since no body answered my question I suspected that this was a one time problem and that nobody was having it...
I thought it might be because of a corrupt installation of the ios... So I proceded to restore my phone to the backup I made when I first bought it and then I have reinstalled ios7 from scratch...
It worked, now the problem is solved and my phone is working smoothly. I decided to post this just in case somebody would come across the same sort of problem.

I updated to imovie 11 on my iPhone 4 and my old videos were the only ones there. Everybody else that had this problem went to settings privacy photos then turned on access to photos from imovie. When I went to the settings and went to photos there

Apps have no access to photos and do not show up in privacy settings for me to change it!

Hey Everyone I really could use some help! Ok so I recently got sent a replacement iphone 4 in the mail. I backed up the old iphone 4 and transfered that information over to the new one NO PROBLEM. I downloaded my apps no problem either BUT here is my question. My apps such as facebook, twitter, and instagram do not have access to my photos. When i go to settings > privacy > photos NONE of the apps show up and they also dont show up under anything else in the privacy part like contacts for snapchat to use (which doesnt work either). My restrictions are enabled and my photos and everything else under there are selected to ALLOW changes. I have tried resetting the location and privacy as well and still the apps will not show up under privacy so I can give them access. Its very frustrating to not be able to use the apps. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! Also i have tried deleting and reinstalling the apps that hasnt worked either

Make sure that you have Include Photos from Subfolders checked

Photo stream doesn't show any photo

Listen, I have this problem when I open iCloud photos, folder "Photo Stream" shows, I open it and it doesn't show any photo taken on my iPhone, but I can play slide show and see every single photo, but only in that way with slide show, how can I fix this? It worked alright for a few days, now it's somehow different, help please.....

Nevermind... figured it out.
If anyone else runs into the problem, here's the fix:
Settings > Privacy > Photos > turn facebook to ON

There are no apps showing in Privacy Photos, Contacts, etc. HELP!!!

I'm on iPhone 4, iOS 6. There are no apps showing in Privacy > Photos, Contacts, etc even if I have Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & other photo apps installed. Photos taken from the apps don't get saved to Camera Roll. Apps can't access Photo Library.
When I try to access my Photo library from within any app, it says "This app does not have access to your photos or videos. You can enable access in Privacy Settings."
I go to Privacy > Photos and there are no apps there unlike in my friends' iPhones. It just says "Apps that have requested access to your photos will appear here."
This is the same problem with my Contacts related apps. I have apps like Viber and What's App.
Similary, there are no apps showing in Privacy > Calendars, Reminders, Bluetooth.

Oh my gosh. This worked perfectly!!!
After allowing the changes, I just had to open the apps again (such as Instagram), then the pop-up asking to allow access to Photos appeared!
And I thought I was going to get rid of my iPhone 4 already because of the issue.

I recently downloaded Picstitch - i can not access my camera roll. I've tried settings-privacy, etc, but it doesn't show picstitch as an available app to turn on

How do I allow an app like picstitch or instacollage to access my camera roll? I have gone to settings-privacy - tried to turn on photo access, but the app doesn't appear as an option. Please help?

Turn off access to private information. Go to Settings > Privacy. You can see which apps and features have requested and been granted access to the following information:
Contacts
Calendar
Reminders
Photos
Bluetooth Sharing
Microphone
Twitter
Facebook
You can turn off each app’s access to each category of information. Review the terms and privacy policy for each third-party app to understand how it uses the data it’s requesting.

Thank you Winston. I guess we need to ask that this feature gets added at least as an option in an upcoming release. When someone is using shuffle, it helps to know what is playing while viewing pictures.

Shared photo stream is not showing up in settings for iPhone 5 or ipad

I am trying to set up a shared photo stream however the option is not coming up on either my iPhone 5 or my iPad (3).
I have tried adjusting the settings (Settings/Photos&Camera/Shared Photo Stream), switching it on & off as well as switching on iCloud again to see if new T&Cs pop up as suggested in other posts - no joy!
Any other suggestions?

On your device using iOS 6, try quitting and re-opening the Photos app:
Quit Photos.
From your Home screen, click your Home button twice. Your open applications should appear in a row at the bottom of your screen.
Scroll to find the Photos icon. Press the icon until the icons jiggle.
Tap the red circle in the upper-left corner of the Photos icon. The icon should disappear from the list.
Tap the Home button again to return to normal operations.
Also check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

Photos dont show up on windows

I backed up some photos to my iphone 3g. These pictures were some i took with a digital camera. I restored my operating system and now i want to put the photos back onto my computer but they dont show up anywhere. Any photos i took with my phone show up. When i plug my phone into my computer it tries to import my photos but doesnt find anything new but i know there are photos on the phone that are not on the computer. I tried looking in the iphone files through my computer and found only the photos taken with my phone.
Any ideas how to get the photos back onto my computer?

The iphone is NOT a backup device.
It optimizes photos for viewing on iphone - reducing size and quality.
The photo sync is also only ONE WAY - computer to iphone.
You could e-mail them to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Did you fail to backup your pics?

I have deleted my photos but have icloud. when i log into icloud it doesnt give me an option to view these photos at all. my photo stream is only showing photos from another iphone in the house. i am unsure if i do a restore from back up if this will work

If you had Photo Stream enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone, photos in the Camera Roll should have been transferred to your photo steam automatically when the iPhone was connected to an available wi-fi network.
Your photo stream is not available when logging in with your iCloud account with a browser on a computer.
Why were the photos in the Camera Roll deleted?
Photos/videos in the camera roll are included with your iPhones backup. If your iPhone's backup has not been updated since the photos were deleted from the camera roll, you can try restoring your iPhone from the backup.

I try to open facebook, but only show me my name and picture profile this it , no friends list , no games , no nothing , how i fix this?

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

When you say that you can't find them anywhere, I assume that you mean that you can't find them on the iPad even though the storage figure says that the photos are there.
You can try this. I don't know if this will work for you but this was recently discovered as solution for phantom photos. This was copied from a post started by gail from maine
Delete all of your Recently Deleted photos from your Recently Deleted folder
Then go to Settings>General>Date & Time, and change the date back to last September when iOS 8 came out, and then go back to the Recently Deleted folder. Although at the Album level it will still say "0" if you tap on the Album, you will be greeted by all of the "Recently Deleted" photos that have surpassed the 30 day limit. Mine went back to when I installed iOS 8.
She found this in a post where txforever was the person that discovered how to do this.
