In Smart Form alignment disturbed from 2nd page

Hello experts,
Help me to resolve the issue.
Smart form output disturbed from second page. Here giving snap shots of first two pages only.
The value of column Item no is not from database. It come from loop, variable 'Counter' is incremented, in main window
First Page
Here line no 10 and data is disturbed.
Total number of record lines printed are 10.
Second page
Here alignment of line no and data is disturbed
Number of record lines are printed 6,not 10 as printed in first page
Item number and data record lines are not in aligned.
Sixteen(16) item no associated data is printed but item number is not printed ( printed on page 3)
Last line ‘Expected Date…’ coming on each page. How to print only after completion of all rows.?

for this you can use the Table footer so that it can be dispalyed after the end of all records,
and can you tell me what is the type of your counter variable?
Try using CZ options for item to compress

Smart form footer issue in 2nd page - Horizontal line is not displayed

Dear Experts,
I am working on a smartform. Which has a table (Header, Main area, Footer), When there are more records and footer alone is printed in the 2nd page, i am not getting the first horizontal line for the footer and it does not look like a table in second page.
My smartform table exactly looks like this when printed in a single page.

|_________|______________|_________________|____________|________________|__________| - Main Area
|_______________________________________________________|___________________________| - Footer
When the footer alone is printed in second page, i want to print as
|_____________________________________________________|__________________________| - Footer
But its printed as

When the item records are printed in multiple pages, i will have header and item records in every page. The problem comes only when the footer alone gets printed in separate page.
Please suggest me how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

hi rajesh..
check the line type for that footer. It's getting displayed properly on multiple pages because the lower line of other rows is getting overlapped on the upper one of footer. This is why you dont recognize it.
On single page there arent any other rows. So it shows a blank.
So as samreen said make the top line of that line type bold.

How i start printing report from 2nd page

When Press on Print button to print report, then it start from 1 page.
Is it possible that report start printing from the 2nd page....
Plz help if possible...

hi dear,
I think wht u do is place a "Form feed" char on the first line of your report
and make sure it has property "print object on" set to "first page"
so as and when u startyour printing it will make a form feed and your first page will
be printed with nothing and print starts from 2nd page....

Dynamic Header row for table not aligned properly on 2nd Page

Hello Friends,
The problem is like this :
We have a table with dynamic number of columns and few of them are being hidden at runtime based on a configuration table.
Now problem while printing is that first page is printing the header row, but same is not being repeated on subsequent pages.
Please see the layout
Header row is warped in 2 subforms both are flowed - western text so that they will get squeezed if column is hidden
Here are the properties for subforms
1) overflowLeader => Flow top-bottom
2) OF_SF => Flowed , western text
On 2nd page all the columns are getting aligned to left hand side whereas printing fine on first page.

Hi Nitin,
in this case, you must use more nested wrapper subforms and set the root subform layout from "flow" to "positioned". I cannot give advice on how the wrapper subforms are organized, since it depends on your logic, just try it out.

Showing items caption on top from 2nd page..

Hi,
I have multiple tables in items form .They are flowed.
I have a item captions text row in 1st page.How Do i make it repeat in second page and so...on.
If it was single table I could have done that but how do I handle this in multiple tables.My item caption texts is same for all .
In brief:
I have created subform for header data display -positioned
i have created itemform for item data display and included all item tables row wise. -flowed
finally i have footerform which does the totals .-flowed
I tried creating a itemtext in 2nd page of master pages.. but this is not showing up.
Any ideas?

when you format the subform, increase the height of subform by .75 inches and tell it to align bottom center.

Smart Form printing issue in repeate page

Hi,
We have one smartfforms printing some notification details in which Only one page layout is use and it is repeated again at one block Upper margin is 18.23 and Height is 9.60 CM on first page it is printing properly but on second page it is stating at Upper margin is 18.23 properly but not printing total height it is printing only two rows on second line.
how to solve it
the block is a interbal table and it is printing material and qty. of that table if material is more means there are more than 8 material then it is printing only upto 11 rows remaining rows it is not printing.

Reports moves to the left from 2nd page?

We have a 6i report when executed, the 1st page shows correctly, but from the 2nd page onwards one repeating frame shifts to the left and this crops the left side information in that repeating frame.
This frame has some columns which are made to display/not display depending on certain conditions.
We tried making the horizontal elasticity of the repeating frame to FIXED but still the same problem exists.
Any help would be grately appreaciated.

hi julia, i placed the anchor in various places to see what works. I placed the anchor center top towards the left and right side within the browser. I also tried upper top outside of the browser center, right and left and it still moves diagonally. Here's what I noticed. On my desktop I use a 25" monitor so the anchor works fine the page moves straight up but whenever I view it on both laptops it moves diagonally. I had my sister test the link on her laptop (she lives in Brazil) and she told me that sometimes it would go straight up and another time it moved diagonally. Expandable Form won't create 2nd page

I’ve checked numerous posting on the forum and can't solve my problem with flowable forms using LiveCycle Designer 8.2. This is my first stab at creating expandable text fields and although there are numerous posting about not being able to get the text to flow onto a second page, none of the solutions work for me. The existing form only has 1 page, but I need it to create a second page if the text boxes expand.
I have 4 text fields that need to be able to expand and flow. Each of my text fields allow multiple lines, allow page breaks within content, expand to fit, and are put into subforms so they won't overlap each other when expanded. All four text fields/subforms are contained within another subform, also set to flow and break across pages. I have a row of logos at the bottom and I have put them on the Master Page as a footer.
The preview default is dynamic and the LiveCycle file is saved as dynamic XML. The text fields expand properly except when they reach the bottom of the page, at which point they overlap the logos on the footer and disappear. The subform “wrapper” for the 4 fields has an error message though: “This object may not work properly. Although the object is allowed to break, deselecting the Allow Page Breaks Within Content option of the parent object restricts this object from breaking between pages.” I don’t know how to fix that.
If I change my Page1 content subform (untitled subform page 1) to flow instead of positioned all the formatting goes wacky and objects are positioned all over the place – most of them shoot over to a second page that’s created.
Is this fixable at all?

That creates total chaos but I think I may have figured out what is going on. I found an example of the same issue...
"The form was a converted word doc and it basically exploded when I set the layout to flowable. There were so many remnants from word that most of the form was jettisoned off the bottom of the page. It looked like garbage.
Hierarchy is important because the flowable layout (with: ‘top to bottom’ flow direction) relies on the order of the elements for positioning.
So we resolved to rebuild the form from scratch and it’s working nicely."

The Consistence appearance of Forms when called from a page's Portlets

Hi,
I have created forms,reports(i.e portlets) and added these portlets in a page and created appropriate tabs for them and for pages i used styles to give them a consistent look. Some of Forms and reports calls other forms but that forms do'nt show that looks(color, background image). How can i make that Forms and reports to show the same colors and other things( as visual attributes in developer 2000) for consistency.

there should be a method like getPortletBakcingContexts() for you but there is not - I will file an enhancemet request.
In the mean time i think you can use
public List getRenderedChildrenWindowBackingContexts()
and do an instance of of the objects in the list

How to write Java script for refering the 1st page text field from 2nd page?

Hello I am developing an VISITOR info interactive form with webdynpro ABAP, its with 2 pages. Their heirarchy is,

Now, i have selected the 'Text_Field_B_1' of page_2 and writing the Java script, my requirement is; If Page_1's 'Text_Field_A_2' has a value of "Value_ABCD", THEN the 'Text_Field_B_1' of page_2 should be 'readOnly'. Pls let me know Wht is the Java script for this requirement?

I have script with two pages . I am dumping internal table data into the main window . But when the page number is greater than 1 I need to display some addtionla info at the top of the main window in a box before I dump the table data .Can anyone please guide me on how we can do this ?

Hi Vijay,
Use TOP...ENDTOP to trigger at the top of main window and have a condition on page number (&SY-PAGNO&) to get from second window onwards.
Try with this code:
/: IF &SY-PAGNO& > 1.
/: TOP
/: BOX COMMNAND
/: WRITE SOMETHING IN BOX
/: ENDTOP
/: ENDIF.

Footer content is blank from 2nd page onwards

I have two master pages: First and Next
First page has a restriction to occur only once. It has a Footer.
The same Footer is repeated on the next page.
Both are Flowed.
I have a code as below in the initialization event of the First: Footer as well as Next:Footer
var curpage1 = $layout.page ( ref ( $ ) )
var totpages1 = $layout.pageCount()
if ( curpage1 ne totpages1 ) then
$.presence = "hidden"
endif
This way I am able to control the footer to appear on the last page.
I am paassing an internal table to the footer.
But the Footer shows up empty..
To test further, I added a text field and passed a value to it.
It however appears on the last page as desired.
But the actual Footer shows up empty.. only the border for the Footer shows up..
Please advise.

After further debug, this is what is happening:
If it is only one page, then the internal table prints in footer.
As soon as the second page is triggered, the internal table is becoming empty.
So I passed the internal table to another internal table and passed the value to the second page. (this is the case when there are only two pages to be printed).
Now the footer appears.
As soon as a thrid page s added, this internal table is also becoming empty.
I circumvented all this by putting text fields (in my case I always know that it is only 4 lines) and passing each line of internal table to each of the text fileds.
it works good now even for n number of pages.
I will keep looking to find a proper solution with the internal table and post the details here.
leaving this post open may be for a week days more to see if any one has a better idea.

Smart forms--print total on 1st page...

hi friends...
   i've a smartform...it is related to excise invoice..
   on first page i've summery of next n pages....getting it..?
   so...on next pages there r several line items...
   i need to print total of 'quantity' n total 'amount' of those on first page...
   i've not tried it..but i am worried it wont execute as my first page is having summery only....
   if u stil dont get my question pls let me know.......

hey, if u r printing only summary on first page then u cant use the total feature of table in smartforms.
then u can do it by following way :
1) add a program line before the text where u wanted to print total.
2) loop that internal tbale which u will submit to tale in smartforms.
3) get the total of that internal table in loop and assign to one variable and print that variable in TEXT.
Reward some points if useful.

Issue in printing second page in smart form

in my smart form i have only FIRST page in tht i have pur order numberwindow, date window and all the item details in mainwindow. my problem is in my page 1 order number and date are getting printed at the exact position whre i want but when it is coming to the next page that is page 2 order number and date are going out of scope. I cant even change the position of those two windows as it is getting printed properly on 1st page.

Copy the first page and paste so as to create a second page, now give next page as this second page, and check, if there is any layout issue then make changes in this page, be careful as if you make any any changes, such as deleting some table or template or window in the copied [page it will get deleted in first page to, so only make changes to layout.

Dynamic page break : 
create a node of type COMMAND and in its attributes check "Go to new page".
There are Tables and Templates in smart forms :
Use node type Template to display a table whose layout and size (number of lines and columns) is determined before the runtime of the print program else use Table.
