In srm 5.0 but upgraing from ecc 5.0 to ecc 6.0

can any one help me in guiding what are the various settings that have to be made if i maintain in srm 5.0 server itself and upgrade my back end system from ecc5.0 to ecc 6.0.

Hi Rose,
it should be a normal upgrade situation for you, where you have to check / adjust
the backend related settings. Nothing specific special as far as I know of.

We are looking for customers who can share infomation that have successfully built automated data retractors from BPC 7.5 to ECC 6.0.

This document is a template that has some assumptions built into it for it to work. I know customers will have different requirements, but I would like any comments from anyone who is "Live" with this. How long it took to develop and any issues that you encountered? How often do you run the retractor?
We are also looking at moving parts of the budget in BPC back into Cost Based PA. Can anyone share their experience in creating this retractor (interface) as well?

Issues during technical upgrade from version 4.6C to ECC 6.0

Dear All,
We have done a technical upgrade from version 4.6C to ECC 6.0 and encountered following issues -
In the t-code ABZE (acquisition with in house production) there is a check-box for reversal posting on screen with version 4.6C. However, this field is missing in ECC 6.0. Why so?
In the report s_alr_87012327, there is a field "only with creation block" in version 4.6C. However, this field is missing in ECC 6.0. Why so?
Request to kindly suggest the alternative to carry out the same in ECC 6.0.

1) 4.6c is NON-UNICODE system, Can I upgrade it into ECC 6.0 UNICODE system?
Yes you can.
If you are on a single code page system then you can give a gap between your uprade and unicode conversion. There is no problem with the singlecode upgrade and conversion.
But if your system is MDMP then you will have to do the CUUC method that is both upgrade and unicode conversion together. Though you can give a gap and sign an disclaimer with SAP it is still not recomended way.
2) 4.6c does not have any ITS system installed. If we upgrade it to ECC6.0 ABAP only, then Can I activate WAS internal ITS?
Yes you can activate it.
3) 4.6c does not have any JAVA stack. When I upgrade it to ECC 6.0, can I upgrade it to dual stack (ABAP+JAVA)? If yes, then how?
After the upgrade and unicode conversion you can install the java stack.

Upgrading project mostly involves testing with the existing system with the new system.SAP already released the release notes for this Upgrading ECC 6.0.
(1). YOu have to do unit test/Integration test/Regression test in your new system based on the business process documents prepared for your present system.
(2). You mostly encounter Interface issues(If exist)/Authorization issues/Enhanced naming issues/Usage issues.
(3). In 46C you have to do external configuration for CIN.However In ERP 2005, It is already in built.Hence Knowledge of CIN will be more than sufficient to manage the CIN issues.
(4). More over you must be very confident in the business process.Unless you will receive many UAT issues.
(5). I strongly advice you based on my experience, Whenever you do unit test and Integration test, use your user id to.When you do regression testing, get the user id from user copy all the roles from the user id and create new id.Using this new id you do the Regression testing.This will avoid many problems.
(6). Another Imprtant big issue is patch work infomation.After release of 46C, SAP released many patches for 46C.However these patches are all not updated in to your present 46C system.These patches are already in in built in ECC 6.0, hence you will get diff.result when you do testing.If such a case, advice the user about the patch work, and proceed. In most of my cases , SAP enjoyed with 46C without patch scenario, but in ECC6.0 they started to complain, b'cas the new patches.
(7).Give me your mail id ,I will send you the release notes.

As anil you have to download the Upgrade guide, therer you could see the clear information -about SAPup.
they have mentioned the issues with SAPup and they have asked us to use new SAPup version due to the issues of Old SAPup version.

Tips / Lesson Learn: Upgrading from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 w/ Unicode

We are looking into moving from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 w/ EP7 and doing the unicode path on as well.
What are some lesson learn you guys could share in potential issue may occur in the HCM realm?
We don't currently have inhouse payroll, using PU12 to interface that information out.
If you could share some past experiences on what could occur during this upgarde caused by going to ECC 6 or even by the unicode patch would greatly be appreciated.

US Payroll upgrading from Ecc 5.0 to Ecc 6.o

My client want to upgrade from Ecc 5.0 to Ecc 6.0 for all modules including US payroll.
please advise me what are the tables in i need to take care? means i need to have copy for double check?
Is any tables which was there in Ecc 5.0 and not available in Ecc 6.0?

Transports from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0

Hello,
We are considering using transports from the 5.0 system to make configuration changes in the 6.0 system (and even some workbench items). Besides, the obvious issues with conflicting configuration, is there a technical reason why they should not attempt this? I look for notes to know it, and there are the note NOTE 1090842, but there are no answer for transports between realese ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0. Do you know if it is a special case?

Hello,
This is always a bad idea.
However, if you feel like that, I only recommend it if you are transporting Z objects that you know perfectly. This way you can make corrections at the very moment the potential problem happens. Before the import, please compare both objects, in release 5.0 and 6.0, and look for the differences. Plan what would happen if the 5.0 object replaces the 6.0 one.
Don't do it with standard objects.

Product Replication from CRM 5.0 to ECC 6.0

Hi,
 My requirement is to replicate newly created product master from CRM to ECC.
 For this I created subscription with publication name Product Materials (MESG).
 Nest created product in CRM, but this product is not replicated to ECC. But BDoc generated successfully with status green.
 Where as new sales orders,change sales orders, BP changes, Product master changes are replicated in ECC from CRM and Vice Versa.
 Appreciate, if some one could tell me the steps I need to do in ECC & CRM to replicate new products created in CRM into ECC.

Have you created a number range for materials in CRM?
If you create materials in the R/3 system and the CRM system in parallel, duplicate numbers for different materials may occur if the number ranges in the R/3 system and the CRM system are overlapping. Duplicate numbers do not cause errors because each material gets an internal unique identifier in addition. To avoid duplicate numbers you have to make sure that the number ranges for materials in the CRM system and the R/3 system do not overlap.
Remove the subscription in Adminconsole that is not required for the product upload.
The upload function is only active in product processing if this was allowed in Customizing.
The corresponding path in the SAP reference IMG is 'Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Product -> Settings for Product Type -> Allow Upload for a Product Type'.

Push data from sap business one to ECC with XI

Have you ever configured the scenario?We wanna push data from sap business one to ECC with XI,and vice versa.
We know that b1i have this funtion,but in our scenario,we need to create some addon table both in b1 and ecc,so does it mean that I can't use b1i in my special scenario?
We wanna utilize XI to solve our issue,then the scenario may be abapproxy to soap,or soap to abapproxy.But the problem is, how to program in the b1 side both in sender and receiver.Do you have any information about that?

The method to connect SAP Business One and ECC 6 using XI would be B1iSN2007. You could of course develop something your self using ABAP, IDoc and the Business One SDK, but B1i does this today and has 6 built in Business Scenarios. You can of course customize the existing scenarios and/or create your own much easier and faster than creating the whole thing from scratch.
If you are specifically interested in not using B1i ... you would want to post your question in the XI forum here on SDN.

Uodate Freight/Booking order from SAP TM to SAP ECC

Iam an SD consultant and new to SAP TM. We have the follwoing requirement.
The delivery proposal is sent from TM to ECC and in ECC it will create a delivery. The delivery proposal from TM does not carry the freight/booking order no from TM. we need to send booking order no in the outbound message from SAP TM to ECC. And then we want the booking order number to store in delivery in ECC.
questions are
1) how TM communciates with ECC. we have been told that there are two interfaces
OutboundDeliveryBulkCreateRequest_ (for sending delivery proposal from TM to ECC )
OutboundDeliveryBulkConfirmation_In (for sending back delivery creation message from ECC to TM )
2 ) I need to know what are these interfaces. Are these idocs. How to enchance the same in TM and ECC to achieve the above regarding booking order. That is how to inlcude booking order no in delivery proposals message so that it is sent from TM to ECC.
3 ) In ECC, how the booking order no will be captured from TM and how it will be updated in delivery ?

hi Pamela,
sap erp communicates with tm using XML Messages (so called Enterprise Services). the Standard way to update erp would be to create freight orders and have those create erp shipments. But, you certainly have your reasons why you want to update only deliveries. Enhancing the Enterprise Service and modifying the update is certainly the best way. If you do not get help on this. Here is an alternative:
To get the booking number/freight order Number for the FU, I would use the save document prepare user Exit in the delivery and write the Fo number into LIFEX. You can use a remote function call to call tm, alternatively, you can store the FO number in the FU with a custom save strategy.
Step 1: get the sales orde number (VGBEL) within Exit in sd delivery
Step 2: read the Fu related to the sales order (if ist 1:1), you can use the field LABELTXT in the ROOT node of the TOR object.
Step 3: get the FO related to the relevant stage (following coding).

Passing Filed Values from CRM CIC Webclient into ECC thru Transctn Launcher

I am a CRM Consultant, working for IC Webclient implementation (Call Center Application from SAP). We are creating an Interaction record (a CRM transaction) after receiving a call from customer.
in the same IC Webclient screen we are calling ECC transaction using a CRM concept scenario Transaction Launcher.
Now the requirement is to pass the information like priority, reason, employee responsible and Text from Interaction record into the ECC transaction (IW51) which will be availabe in same screen but belongs to CRM and ECC systems respectively.
there is no standard configuration available for this, and a development is strongly required.
I dont know which functionality can be used to achieve this requirement. can we use RFC Function Module for this? what could be the best solution for this.
kindly help me to resolve this issue. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that when trying to print from your laptop that you get a communication error message.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
1)       How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet or wireless)?
2)      When you installed the printer on your laptop did you set it up with a USB cable? If yes, did you switch the connection type on the laptop from USB cable to ethernet/wireless?
3)      What version of Windows operating system are you running on the laptop (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, etc)?
4)      When printing from your iPhone are you using Apple's AirPrint or HP's ePrint app?
