In store I was told it was possible to recycle my iMac for a new model. Is this true?

Is it possible to recycle a late 2009 iMac for a new retina display model? I was told in store that it was but can't see any link on the website except for iPhone.

Apple has a recycle/reuse program:http://www.apple.com/recycling/gift-card/ see what the process is for recycling your iMac and then you need to deal with the Apple store for the exact amount that will be allowed.

Go to the Apple Store webpage and in the upper right go to Account and select Track an Order. There you will find the status of your order. You only get a tracking order when the items ships.

Unfortunately, redownloading of past music purchases isa still in beta test and only available in the US right now.

With upgrading to version 8.0.1, I can no longer scroll with my touchpad or button (Lenovo T61). These was possible prior to the upgrade. How do I fix this?

The touchpad and "little red button" still work on other programs but just not Firefox.

Try to modify the pref ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled on the about:config page from the default value -1 to 0 or 1 to see if that makes the scroll pad work. 
Close and restart Firefox after changing the pref.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.

I have a Toshiba e-studio 2830C network printer and it will not work with mavericks. I have some software that the printer guy said to try that was for a newer model printer, but it is not working. Please help....I need this printer tonight.

the Print Mode has a line through it and says it has not been updated.

Is it possible to set frame size for a new project ?

Hi all,
i would like to create a video in which there will be 2 videos playing the same content from a different angle.
Each video is 512 x 384 .
So i would like to set the frame size of the project as 1024 x 768 in order both videos to exist.
I searched around for tutorials regarding this but i didn't find anything similar.It seems as if i cannot set the frame size of the project from the start.
So,is there a way to do this?

I've lost come photoshop cs 8.0 files and have been told by a recovery company that they can't be saved. Is this true?

I've lost some Photoshop cs 8.0 files and have been told by a recovery company that they can't be saved. I've attached a screen shot of what seems to remain of one of the files. You will see it has 3 different icons that correspond to it. One a 'thumbnail'; one a 'meta' and one an 'exec' file. I have no idea what this means and whether or not someone more experienced in recovery can tell me if these kinds of files are salvageable. Any kind of input would be great. I'm not well versed in the language that's probably involved in describing this...

This is where the icons that appear are located - not the original files.
The icons are straggler files. No your original files would not be located there. The original files (.app files) would be located inside the Application folder.
In fact - I really don't even know why these icons are still on the computer.
It's because when the files were deleted, you did not use an uninstaller. I do not use Photoshop, but if it comes with an uninstaller, when using same, the uninstaller gets rid of all the straggler files that are attached to the application. 3rd party uninstallers also get rid of straggler files.
I have no idea what they mean or what their function is.
To know what they do, you should post over in the Adobe Forums: Forum: Adobe Photoshop forum area. It's where all the Mac Photoshop users hang out. These users will be able to explain to you which files you can safely remove associated with your "lost" files.

a UK iPhone should work on EE 4G network

On the iPad - go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap on your old ID and sign out. Then sign in with your changed/new ID.

I was wondering if it was possible to play different sounds for emails and instant messages. I am using Thunderbird quite often with both emails and instant messages imported from Gtalk.
I think it would be very convenient to be able to distinguish both sounds as they do not imply the same things.

Is it possible to controll the positioning of a new window when someone clicks one of my links

I was wondering if it was possible to control the positoning of a new window that pops up when someone clicks one of my site document links on my dreamweaver site. When a link is clicked and the new window pops up, I'd like to control the window size and positioning of the new window. Is this possible without having to use a tooltip or other option?

Some browsers will display pop-up windows in the parent window, some will open them in a new tab or new window. I'm afraid there is nothing you can do about end user settings.

Hi,
we have developed some webservices, writing normal methods and using servicegen to generate the webservices.
We expected there would be a generated web.xml with some servlets to receive the calls for the webservices. So we could configure the excecution queue in it, but there are no servlets. It's almost empty.
Is it possible configuring an execution queue for a webservice generated in this way?
