Hi,
before creating your abap, check out if one of the standard report is sufficient. See tcode SUIM which contains several reports. maybe report RSUSR200 is already what you need.

Just addition, for history of RDP Connections, please open Registry Editor and follow the path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default. Please check if find MRU registry items where the name (or the IP address) of the terminal server is kept in.
Please also follow the path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Servers. It contains
the list of all RDC (remote desktop client) connections that have ever been established from this computer.
When expand Server folder and select a node, you will see the UsernameHint key that show the name of the user connected by rdp.
Please back up registry items to avoid unexpected issues before any operation.

I am trying to do a simple ftp using an SOA-ESB service. I have created an FTP service using the FTP adapter. The FTP adapter asked abt the file name and directory. Where do I specify the host details like hostname, userid and Password?

when you start the adapter wizard you specify a JNDI name it will be something like eis/Ftp/sample.
You can make this anything but use the same notion, e.g. eis/Ftp/[hostname_user]
You then login to Enterprise Manager
oc4j_soa -> applications -> FTP Adapter (this may not be exact
There you can specify the connection details for that server. Name the JNDI name eis/Ftp/[hostname_user]
you can also modify the oc4j-ra.xml file directly for the FTP adapter

Login information for RFC call

Hi there,
I would like to know if there is a way to authenticate a user via bsp and get that login information to make the RFC call to different systems.
i tried the to call an FM via RFC directly from abap and it forces me to login and it works but when i put that code to bsp. I just get a "page cannot be displayed" error.
I know i can enter an ID and password on sm59 for the connection but i need to let the user login
I am using this for a user creation tool.. instead of using su01 to create a user it will be done via bsp and would like to reflect the changes done when running the reports from SUIM

However this still prerequisite for the next step.
Now, please correct me if my understanding is wrong.
In your reply, you have at least 2 System, right?
S1 & S2.
Where S1 has BSP Application (Ex:/ FormRegistration)
And S2 is where you control the user and Function Module.
Do you put, generic user for all BSP Service in System S1?
You can create another BSP Application in System S1 (Ex:/ CallingFM)
but this time don't put default user in BSP Service.
And from BSP Application FormRegistration, you create 1 button to call the BSP Application CallingFM.

Why you need CallingFM BSP application? because you need to re-assign sy-uname in S1 from default user with user-B ID, and use it to connect to System S2, S3, etc.
Please note: SM59 and User Id must be set before this.
Because when you call RFC from other destination, SAP will refer to Logon setting in SM59 for that destination.

In development system while creating Model I have entered the Back end details like Client, User Name and Password.
If I transport the application into Production, The Client and user name will be different. In this case How would I change the client n user name details.
Do I have import again in Production. But does sounds a good idea.

When you create Model first time, to import Interface of RFC you would need to logon into R/3. But once you are done with the Interface, your connection to R/3 will be determined by the client and UID details in JCo connection.
Now when you transport your code from DEV to QA system, the JCo connection with the same name should be there. or else, you would need to create the same in the new server. I dont see a need to reimport the model. If that is the case, then developers would have to spend huge amount of time doing this job alone.

What's the difference between, just for example, "login block-for 100 attempts 15 within 100" and "security authentication failure rate 3"?

I am tyring to develop some scenarios based on RFC adaptor. so i want to start up with basic scenarios like RFC to File scenario(Here i just want to pull some data from SAP using RFC and put it in destination folder as an text file) and FILE to RFC scenario (Here i just want to take some data from the file and update into SAP).
For doing these scenarios i would like to request you people to send me the step by step guide which explains me about the complete steps of configurations required to do the RFC to FILE scenario and FILE to RFC scenario.
I found some scenarios and i am in confused state. so i request you to please put your experience to help me out.

I don't know your scenario and your ECC and PI versions but I learned how to use ABAP Proxy more than 1 year ago with the following tutorial:

The way to develop ABAP Proxys has changed a little if your PI is 7.1. In the ECC side, the transaction SPROXY looks much better too if you have a recent version of the ECC.

I've found that SDN Document. Maybe the scenario is not the most simple to start with ABAP Proxy but is very well documented and is for PI 7.1. The document also handles the inbound and outbound proxys

Create Recovery Discs from your HDD, then load them onto the SSD.
