In the control center it says safari then another time said box. Why is that?

Hi I have noticed that in the control panel when you swipe up..well there has been safari listed and another time Box was listed. I use Box to upload my photos. Is this normal to appear here in control panel? I have ios 7.1.1 iPhone 5. Thank you in advanced for any help

The first question is, what model of Mac do you have, specifically? Newer MacBooks no longer have an infrared receiver port (because they no longer come with an infrared remote control), so there is nothing to disable.

If you turn off every check box in the Sharing system preference, especially Screen Sharing and Remote Login, the chances someone is controlling your Mac are very low.
If you have installed any software like LogMeIn, Go To Meeting, or other video conferencing software that provides remote screen control, be sure it's turned off. I forget if Skype or Google Hangouts have added the ability to control another screen remotely, but it's worth checking.

Iphone 5s, Wifi grayed and not related to the control center swipe

Since yesterday my Iphone 5s stopped working with wifi, it grayed out. I could set it on in the control center, but it doesn't turn it on in the settings.
After sometime it got back to work in the settings, but even when its on there, the relation with the control center is gone, I can turn it on or off there that nothing happens
What can I do??

Have you tried resetting the phone? Press the sleep/wake button and the Home button together and hold them down until the Apple logo appears on the screen (10-15 secs), then let the two buttons go and allow phone to finish restarting. Then go into Settings/Wi-Fi and set it on, then check Control Center.

No more data to read from socket when I try to open the control center

Hi everybody,
I'm using on production environment the following OWB:
Client: 10.2.0.3.33
Repository: 10.2.0.3.0
The control center worked very fine since a week ago, and now suddently when I try to login from the Design Center I get the error "No more data to read from socket"
I saw on the forum many thread relating the problem "No more data to read from socket", and my case is very close to the thread
Warehouse Builder error no more data to read from socket.
even if I'm using a different version of OWB...
Now, I found on metalink the Doc ID: 549303.1 "*Opening of The Control Center Manager Fails with: No More Data To Read From Socket*" , where there are 2 solutions:
1)This bug has been fixed in the Oracle 10.2.0.4 patchset and Oracle 11g database.
2) To workaround the issue change the value of the parameter "optimizer_mode" from ALL_ROWS into FIRST_ROWS.
In the thread above they found the solution setting the optimizer_mode=first_rows
....but I have two questions:
1) I have another envinronment (development) completely equal to the production env. (same OWB versions), where the Control Center works perfectly and the optimizer_mode=ALL_ROWS
Why in the development env., even if the optimizer_mode=ALL_ROWS, the control center works perfectly ???
2) How it's possible that suddently the control center crashed with this error ? I didn't change nothing (at the Db level and at the OWB level)
My last chance is to apply the Oracle 10.2.0.4 patchset, but I can't change the db version (actually I have 10.2.0.3.0)
I will appreciate any suggestion

Why doesn't my music work in the control center for iPhone 5 iOS 7?

Yesterday I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 and it was working fine with no problems, but today when i tried to play music using the control center, it wouldn't play anything at all. I tried looking it up and I couldn't find anything about it. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a fix for this?

Okay, so I set the radio mode to 802.11n (802.11b/g compatible) and tried to see if my ATV recognized this. At first it did not... At first it picked up the network, then told me my password was wrong (which I knew was not). Then I tried again, same password, and it told me to make sure my connection was set up...it was... then said there was an error. I got fed up, got out of wireless set up, and it says that I'm connected to my network with full bars. Okay, I was a little weirded out, but okay, then I go to youtube... "Content not available." Same thing with trailers and whatnot... restart the box... now everything seems to be gravy.. except for the fact that I am getting a very weak signal. A very substantial difference from when I set my airport to 802.11n (802.11a compatible), which makes my ATV sing, but does not work with the iphone... Did I lose you? Perhaps I got a p.o.s. ATV. I am successful loading files with OWB, as long as they resided on my workstation in the C:\ drive. I copied the files to a Linux server into directories owned by Oracle/oinstall, permissions on the directories containing the files are 777. I ran the OWB client from the server with the following results:

I tried to load the file using the control center from both the windows client and the server client. Can I do this from either one?
I can't import the file in the Design Center from the /u00/data/owb_repos1 directory, it does not show up.

This is what i do for my flat files (i am loading my tables from the flat files):
1) Create location for the files in OWB and it should look something like \\path_to_where_the_files_are. Here you should be able to browse to your Linux box and select the location of the files.
2) Then check whatever you use (i use TOAD) and you should see in owb schema a directory created there which points to the location of the flat file.
3) then just follow the guide to sample the files etc and you are good to go.
Basically OWB has to be able to see the files that are on Linux machine.
Alternatively you can map your Linux share to your windows box (use samba or something) and use it that way.
Sorry if it is stating the obvious.

I can't change music from the control center.

I just got the iOS 7 update for my iPhone 4S and think its great. The only problem is that when I go to change/stop/play a song in the control center, it wont let me. Although, I can still adjust the volume?!? I am so confused.

First I would recommend that you restart your iPhone:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

If you last used an Apple TV to mirror your device and have updated to the newest Apple TV software, go into settings and turn airplay back on. The icon should then appear on your iPad mini when you swipe up allowing you to disable it for Netflix. After updating my Apple TV software for some reason it turned airplay off.

How to block the video url on the control center on iPhone and iPad

My company has videos on demand and live video streaming that are available for both iPhone and iPad. Recently we just found out that viewers can see the videos' streaming URLs displaying on the "Control Center". We would like to hid the URL so that the video URLs won't be displayed on the "Control Center" panel. How can I do that?

You cannot change it. If you're delivering video on web, your viewers can see any url, even if you embed it like Google. Even if they have the URL, you should have some sort of authentication. Are you saying you have no Authentication on these urls that determines if a viewer can see the video or not?

I can't use the control center from my lock screen.

I just updated my iPhone 5c to the ios 8.0.2, but previous to that update I was able to use the control center from my lockscreen. But now, I can't. I already tried to disable restrictions and it didn't work. Please help.

Check the settings for this And make sure that the availability of the Control Center from the Lock Screen is turned on.
Settings > Control Center > Access on Lock Screen
If it is turned on there try a reset of your iPhone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

Thanks ALL, I GOT IT, but I used other solution.
Since I installed and uninstalled the Oracle several times, it keeps also many different Services for the listener. I don't know why, it didn't create a Service for my actual instalation with its path. In other words, all the services remained in the services.msc panel, had the path that was already removed from the Windows folder.
Then what I did, was that I picked one service, took its name (OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener), went to regedit to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener] and simply changed the image path that was setted for the one that was removed (C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_2\BIN\TNSLSNR ) for mine that is installed right now
(C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1\BIN\TNSLSNR). Nothing more and finally works.
I have tried something in the services.msc panel before, as you can see in this forum at the thread "I can't start listener in the Control Painel/Admin Tools/ Services", but I never got
success.

You can't download music via Safari on the iPad - you will need to download it on your computer, add it to your computer's iTunes, and then sync it to the iPad.

Restore as a new device, then sync your apps and contacts.
Do not restore from backup.
If that does not resolve it, then the next step would be to visit the Genius bar at an Apple store.

I have a couple of recommendations for this issue. First is to force quit all the open apps on the iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

When you have all the apps closed, restart the iPhone:

If the issue persists after that, then I would try resetting the iPhone.
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Lastly if the issue persists, then I would backup the phone to iTunes, and then before restoring from your backup, I would test the issue. If it works, then restore your backup, and verify the Control Center is still working.

After downloading iOS 7 on iPhone 5 the control center won't open.

When I swipe up from the bottom, nothing happens. Both of the control center options are enabled in the settings. Help!
